I agree Terry with your belief on Druids point in the game being that it is not to die… But I also believe it is great at harassing and killing most Destroyers in its range, as U know it’s very hard to hit a Destroyer who is bow tanking and reversing and popping smoke, I only use AP on my Druid and it pierces even most BB’s Armor.. It’s a decent ship all and all.. 👍🏼
When I saw it first, the thing that came out in my mind is a Friesland that doesn't rely on smoke because it will appear really small. It just bow tanking and spew shells. Full salvo without broadsiding unlike Friesland. Maybe this is a "destroyer that fight like a battleship".
It's a fun, and, to a degree, a griefer ship. Played competently, you're really difficult to take down. At the same time, you don't have the AA power or flamethrower characteristics of the Bofors demonstrator platform (a.k.a. Friesland)
I use my kleber sort of the same way. I'll find flanking cover and then fire a round off to bloom my spotting range see if i get spotted (dakka sonar lol) if not then i move out from cover ( at a respectable distance) and get spotted so that the entire enemy team is firing at a destroyer that's zipping side to side and maneuvering at 50 knots. meanwhile all my battleships are moving up on the enemy base.
@enchantedbananas yeah that's how I try to use the french as well, but I was referring to the bow in-super firing turrets gameplay of some of the more awesome heavy French ships 🚢 😎
You can totally play the "lalala you can't hit me" role in fast DDs as well. This has both the benefit and downside of having to do this bow-in. she's really hard to kill, but needs to recognise rushes or flanks early to get out in time.
I’m curious do you feel the same about this ship as when you first released this video ? I’ve noticed that it can actually dominate a game. I’m not even a good player objectively, and have close to 60 percent win rate over 300 games. I’ve landed 3-5 citadels in a row on Jinan, and Smolensk. I think it is a pretty hard Smolensk counter, which in its own makes it valuable. I think you downplayed it’s damage output potential as well, it’s armed with seemingly a Gatling gun, and yeah they don’t smack for 10k a pop, but you put 200 of those into someone they’re going to feel it.
Great gameplay, but I'm afraid you and Colbert will get a punishment, because you took over Smolensks job. You know, that it's a privilege to burn down enemies as a Smolensk. Doing it instead is a bad offense. Nonetheless it looks kinda interesting for a main Friesland, but as I already own one and it's hard and expensive to get a Druid, I dunno. Right now I'm searching more for a good BB to do zitadels and a good DD to do the torpedo challenges. But great video as always. 🤗🤗
I LOVE my Druid at the moment. Honestly I would rather play this over my Ragnar (Even tho Ragnar is the better ship). Its such a toxic ship to play since you can harass an enemy BB with the AP while not dying. As long as your not flanked it's actually a good DD hunter since you can just bow tank a dd the whole time and heal so much HP lost in a duel. It's surprisingly good at harassing cruisers at range. I use AP 99% of the time in my Druid and I have beaten Smolensk and Mino at range 🤣. The ship's only downfall in a match is if your left alone. If your left alone you can't really run from a fast cruiser or dd since you are slow and have no guns in the rear. Otherwise I find it such a fun ship to play
Druid has a simple counterplay - rush it. No torps, and can't run away & shoot. Battleships and, to a degree, CVs are going to be supremely annoyed by this thing, and you need the team to actually prioritise. Good point on the AP - the fire chance is pretty useless anyway, and with an APCS captain, that'd work quite well. I haven't had time to test, since I was a bit in a rush, maybe I'll do a follow-up.

That's the good thing about it, this isn't a no-brainer damage farmer, but has a rather specific meme role that gets me to giggle when it works.
This ship is a very dangerous DD killer, I lost a battle with this using my Swedish Tier 10 premium gun boat Launer(sorry I forget the name), but you know what I meant right? It can defeat the current most powerful DD killer

And turn out that this thing have better DPM compare to Ragnar(Both AP), this ship is not pointless, this is the most dangerous DD killer, it has better firepower than Ragnar, not mention this thing have both turret at front, which means this thing can chase other DD without showing the side.
How about an honest review about all the problems with this game? Take a break from selling premium ships for WG and give new players information about all the cheating in this game!
I'm not selling anything 😁 I'm giving you my opinion on premiums or tech tree ships, so if someone wants to spend a not inconsiderable amount of money on it, they know what they get. Are there instances of cheating in the game? Yes, occasional issues with lag cheating, but not something that I'd call game-breaking, compared to other mobile games I've seen. Anything beyond that happens pretty rarely, and usually gets called out & removed. I've done a video about cheating a while back, and honestly, those usually do more harm than good. I remember when I played MW a while back, and would be called a cheater in pretty much every game, simply by not being a complete moron when playing. People get into a frenzy, and soon, players who have legitimate connection issues - this is a mobile game, after all - get hunted & hounded.

Home button cheating or lag cheating isn’t a big issue unless it’s a CV doing it with torp bombers and many of them do it constantly. I’m talking about Ranked battles where spare accounts are used to stack teams with AFK ships to throw games. It’s coordinated on Discord and Twitch. It’s gets called out but WG doesn’t do anything and you down play it and go right back to selling premium ships. If you’re concerned about people wasting money, then do an in-depth look at cheating and educate your viewers about it. Let them know what they are up against before they spend too much money on this game. Until then, I’ll continue to scoff at your press title and think of you as a premium ship salesman.

Need a proper team to utilize it though. Very few randos do that type of stuff.
