This is an incredible research program that is sadly under reported and even less understood. Thanks so much for this rational and interesting video. The fantastic explanations are very unlikely but as one of the team implied even if the cause of the dimming is less dramatic than a structure built by a civilization that discovery will also be groundbreaking and worthwhile. Looking forward to learning of your results!

Very interesting. I just like how none of them seems scared - if we can see Tabby's star, then Tabby's star can very much see us.

knewdles1 second agoTabby is a thousand or so light years away. 99 yrs advanced aliens perhaps? Several vast solar panels could orbit their stars close in mercury like tight orbit. Polar orbits x 3 cross equatorial orbits x 5 then those overlap. Consider this sorta arrangement allows a constant beam with a 360 degree sphere of influence. Our EM drives require similar directed beam energy lased onto very efficient solar arrays. This can also be used for coms thus no loose radio signals anymore either. This can also explain the 234 stars found using similar frequency light. Late to the game is kinda boring for radio astronomy if every civilization has a no radio beam riding breakout phase.

    Maybe its a shattered planet?
