A similar place exists in India called as "dhanushkodi" on the southern most tip in India. It's a town abandoned after a heavy cycle in 1970's which is much bigger and was a lively place till that unfortunate calamity occured.

Where are the people that use to live here? Even though it’s deserted the homes are in good condition, it looks liveable if the sand is removed.
