I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done 2 years ago (im 32 female) and they def knocked me out 100% lmao i even heard her say “lets get started” and i saw the nurse anesthetist push the medicine through my IV and I was out like a light. They did a biopsy and found I had a celiacs this way. I’m glad you’re ok💙🤘🏼

As someone whose family has a history with inflammatory bowel disease (I had my colon removed at 17 because of severe ulcerative colitis, my sister also has UC and my mom has Crohn's and a permanent ileostomy) I'm interested to know why your doctor ordered a colonoscopy at your age. It's not normally something they do until at least your mid 40s unless you're having symptoms or maybe you're high risk. Anyway, I haven't had my colon for nearly 24 years now, had a bag for a year, and since then I go like normal. They made an artificial rectum basically out of a portion of my small intestine. I just go a little more frequently, but it's been so long I barely remember the before times. Lol! Sorry, wasn't trying to be gross, but was genuinely curious.
