Overall, the new D-109WB is Decent on the Medium Wave Band, with just a few Birdies that can be Easily removed by Using the Terk to De-Tune them. The D-109WB does so much for the money, that is easy to recommend to anyone getting started in the hobby, or wants to upgrade from a lower cost receiver.

Hej Todderbert thanks for the bandscans yes i have the original but yes would love to have the the weather band version also nice to have if the swede gonna travel to the US or Canada. But oh yes love my XHDATA D-109 super nice audio love it and for me I have great reception on the fm and also very nice reception on the shortwave. And i have no breakthrough from the AM band but it's because the AM band is more or less gone in Sweden, I think it's a shame but can get some AM stations. Todderbert Goodes pocket radios is very interesting gonna buy some and test them Amazon have them take care and have a nice friday.

I've used mine every day for a few weeks. The MW/FM reception and sound quality are excellent for the price and size. Oddly, it seems to need a reset once in a while or it won't turn on (buttons are not responsive). Luckily the reset doesn't erase the memories (I've done the same VM trick for MW and FM). Mine also has a het on 640 kHz. I tune to 639 kHz to eliminate it.

I have an XHDATA D808 and where I live i can not find any AM stations in my area!

It depends on where you live. Many countries have stopped broadcasting on AM since they switched to FM or DAB+.
