Are there any building codes in your county where framing lumber has to be stamped as fit for structural use?

Lumber has to be graded for structural. The good thing is my dad can grade wood in Tennessee.

What do you do with the sawdust? With the diesel in it, it wouldn't make good compost, since there are toxic chemicals in diesel that do not completely break down. Would simple rubbing alcohol work to keep the sap off the blade?

Rubbing alcohol could maybe be a fire hazard though. Would a bit of vegetable oil or coconut oil keep the sap off the blade?
