Ok better late than never.. I cant get enough of Caroline Myss. Working my way through Sacred Contract book that i borrowed from library and have to return. Decided to order book and journal from her site. Love her radio show on Hay House Raido. She is knowelevable and straight foward with a good helping of sass. Ive listened to audo book lectures of hers and belly laughed at some of her candid comments.
I love how absorbed the audience is. They are zoned in so intensely, it's awesome. i wouldn't want to miss a beat in her presentation either.

Carolyn Myss has been so influential in my life. Her hybridizing of chakra system/christian sacrements/jewish tree of life is her great contribution to the ongoing dialouge.
Personally, I feel that there is an 8th chakra (spiritual other) that corresponds to 1st chakra (physical other).
Waow now scıence accepted that yhrre ıs an 8th 9 and more chackra and you felt thıs years ago😮

I bought the book healers handbook didn't expect much from it...but whoa so wrong.
Cancer twice in my family both members have strong thought patterns that align with specific chakra centers. Our minds affect our physical health so strongly.
Bruce Lipton is also a great informative person for this type of knowledge.

I get my thoughts from God too. I meditate. I pray. I ask for understanding. My understanding and sublime understanding are the same thing to me. I am what some call "God" because "God" is being me. There is no distinction. I can not understand in any way, not even in a so-called "false" way without it being the understanding of God. Nothing is outside of God. All understanding is the understanding of God. Love!
Reading God's Word is essential.

I make it a practice not to lean upon my own understanding; i get my thoughts from the LORD seeing I 'm a minister of the LORD. How about you; because if this is not your mind and understanding your speaking from your own mind which then makes you superfluity of mind and in fact then are judging the mind of the LORD; REPENT
A great way to look at life but nothing to do with the Chakra System, should be relabeled as Emotional Debting.

You do realize that when you accept understanding from EXTERNAL sources, such as the Church, or the Bible, you are leaning on the understanding of OTHER PEOPLE? That is why I asked if you have any of your own words. Your words reads like a script I've read many times. Still, your understanding is valid, no matter how you come to it, however it does not have to be valid for me. If it works for you, great.
Caroline is like a surrogate mother for me.
OK, it's late, and I am tired, but:
So, is Caroline saying you shouldn't do anything for anyone unless it benefits YOU...because it might age you? I am sorry, but I think the tone is not very loving, or at least not very kind. Certainly encouraging of selfishness. And metaphysically, how exactly do we receive returns on our energy? Wouldn't that be greatly influenced by our own attitude to the act of giving itself? Her explanation of the energy system in this video is incomplete, and frankly, to me, non-sensical. I don't think it encourages a supportive, inclusive community of compassionate and giving people.
she's a mystic. quite the opposite of what you've described. this is a very small clip from a long talk (that's available here for free) -actually, listening to this the way it's cut, it does sound that way. but you've got to see the whole thing. i have been studying energy medicine for a while and i find her to be smart as a whip on the subject. give her a chance.
Rhodri0110, that Ms. Myss' speech is plain and pointed doesn't mean she isn't coming from her heart center. She isn't encouraging selfishness in the way that's commonly coined, with deep negativity. She is encouraging selfishishness in the spiritual and metaphysical sense, with deep positivity, and in a way that speaks to the first-help-yourself doctrine: put your oxygen mask on first, then on others. You can't help if you can't breathe.
It's the laws of the universe, and of energy itself, that what we put out (invest) energetically comes back to us (returns) energetically - or not at all.
Consider that when you give away your power to someone - when you buckle to their energy or permit yourself to be drained by the toxicity of a relationship - you're "investing" energy in something (someone) you won't receive a "return" from and will, in fact, deplete your energetic stores.
There's also a karmic component to all this which is related to our chakra system and energy body. Previous "bad investments" of our energy, including in past lives, can show up in our chakra system and energy body in the present, which automatically sets us up with some energetic debt. Can it be paid off? Sure. Just make sure you're taking care of your present investments first, so you have the energy to deal with (and pay back) the other.
+Rhodri0110 Hi, I work with women getting over their heartbreak. Caroline has nailed it with the energy return. It is exactly what I found out by going through a burnout and a broken heart. Society manipulates people into giving more than they have and when they break down it´s :
Well everybody is responsible for their own life." Yes, you are responsible for yourself that is called SELF-LOVE! You are allowed and must take care of your own energy and THEN can you give to others. If you don´t take care of yourself and EXPECT that others will give to you in time of need, then that is a child´s view of the world. Children and sick people need our care and love but everybody else must grow up and learn to take care of herself first. I am saying this from a place of great love.
I see women not getting back what they gave and becoming very sick, losing their jobs and friends... The cause is always that the woman believes a LIE about who she is: Usually the LIE runs something like this: I am not good enough, I am not pretty enough, Who am I to put myself first, etc. When you awaken to the divine truth of who you really are, a being of light and energy in a physical body, then you transform that lie into the divine truth of LOVE, where all false beliefs just fall away and you act from a place of Self love and respect. You realize that respect for others also means that you don´t go rushing in and try to control them (unconscously) by "helping" them. You can step back and evaluate if there is balance in the support of a relationship. When there is balance relationships people thrive. You shall not exploit others energetically and you shall not let yourself be exploited. Pretty simple and fair actually :-)

its not that she is a con it's just her humanness that you are picking up on. She doesnt know EVERYTHING about chakras nor is she enlightened as one might say. I think she is just falling short of your expectations of her.
