Sir, internal friction angle is for rock not for the joint. If we want to calculate the joint friction angle then we have to perform joint direct shear test and for internal friction angle of rock by triaxial test. Yes there is one more way to calculate joint friction angle that is based on RMR for particular joint set. There is a relationship in Bhawani Singh sir book or you can see Z. T. Bieniawski book also.
Sir, i am saying water and dry sand cant so true direction. This water and sand method give apparent direct, if we want to calculate true sip direction then follow the zero zero method. Water flow direction may lead apparent direction
