This is going to be a total flop seriously Ben 10 teen titans johny test all they reboots are bad so I really they that a new season for this show is going to destroy they old fan base once and for all just like they did with all of the other show
This is terrible news and I hated how we're an era where there are no longer programs for cartoons on cartoon network and I'm starting to blame not only David and the executives on WB
I have been a avid watcher of CN for YEARS (2013-2018) and I have seen the good and the bad (and absolutely terrible). This year, I decided to visit the channel to see how it was doing. You know what I saw? A channel that is wasting money on crappy shows that won’t appeal to kids 10-13. Only some of the shows (Regular Show, Gumball, and Steven universe) are good. The rest are just downright ridiculous. TTG just assumes that its viewers are stupid and dumb. I don’t count potty humor, annoying songs, and morals that teach kids that it’s okay to cheat at soccer, etc. That’s just teaching kids to be assholes. Before you say that this doesn’t belong here, I couldn’t find any subreddit to post this at. Hope you understand what I’m talking about. I respect any and all opinions.
Yeah I'm not happy with that CEO because he made the company lose so much money while trying to save money and then a couple movies that were complete aren't getting released and then they canceled popular shows so I'm not surprised they're in so much debt like multi-billion dollar debt
As in Licensed Shows, you mean. It costs money to do so, but in-house CN produced shows cost less to do that. Toonami has always put Licensed Shows since Toonami is an action cartoon block and that's what they are known for. Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh were originally acquired by Kids WB after getting localized while CN also aired repeats of Pokémon until they took the exclusive airing rights to Pokémon, while Yu-Gi-Oh went over to 4KidsTV (then called CW4Kids later on).
Nickelodeon is also known for not having any Licensed/Acquired Shows on their network and most viewers don't seem to mind at all. The last show I can ever think of that Nick ever Licensed was My Dad is a Rock Star, and that was back in 2005 around there.
I think it’s because Netflix and even Hulu offer a better deal to these third party studios, and they know most kids are watching those platforms and UA-cam more than regular TV.
I'd say it was a bad idea for an advertisement. They should've done something more like, a Master Shake drink for sell at some gas stations instead, which would've been really cool.
Unfortunately i’m noticing WBD cares more about Adult Swim than Cartoon Network. I get it since they want to appeal to their adult audience, but it sucks. Another CN original is being placed on Adult Swim now, you also have Toonami Rewind being added to Adult Swim. Pretty concerning while it may seem exciting.
I missed back then when CN had no problem of acquiring shows like they did pairing up with kids WB for toonami especially in 2007 when they acquired Canadian shows like Tdl, 6teen and Johnny test the Canadian strike. At first last year they said Totally spies season 7 was scheduled to premiere on Cartoon Network first but it’s on gulli. I know that TDL reboot is coming in June 1st but they waisted to the last minute over a year cause that’s not enough.
Final season, please. All they have to do is continue where "Things Change" left off and keep adapting the source material until reaching the "Trouble In Tokyo" mini-arc, serving as a send-off to TTG once and for all.
I have a feeling that the failure Sidekick, Scaredy Squirrel, Be Cool Scooby-Doo and Cloudy w/ A Chance of Meatballs 2017 killed any chance of acquired programs on the channel.
It really sucks that Cartoon Network doesn’t have much acquired shows nowadays maybe it’s because they’re not interested and want to focus own there own works but still, I remember where they used to air a bunch of shows that weren’t originally made for the network, especially shows like Code Lyoko, Total Drama Island and Skunk Fu like they used to promote the hell out of those shows. Again, it really sucks that the channel has no new acquired animated shows, especially when it could probably be useful for them to do so nowadays since there’s not of new cartoons from the company nowadays, but considering there now finally going to be realising the Total Drama revival series and (at some point) the 7th season of Totally Spies maybe this could change but only time will tell.
I'm gonna assume that half of this happening might have something to do with the bad rep those Canadian imports got as most of the ones they chose are not really some of Canada's best offerings, although they also showed some Nerd Corps Entertainment shows, so they at least had SOME good acquired Canadian material that wasn't Total Drama. Plus they tend to screw over acquired programming anyway from what I could remember.
1:42 Johnny Test has been a co-production between W-B Animation and Teletoon, but does it really count as in-house considering W-B Animation's involvement?
These days, Cartoon Network just airs reruns of shows that are made in-house by them, WB animated shows, and HB Studios Europe shows. I am not counting adult swim here, just Cartoon Network. But I mean hey, we have the new TDI revival finally coming to the network after waiting over a year and that's an acquired show. It would be cool though if CN at least aired reruns of those like Johnny Test or Code Lyoko. Cause they definitely don't do that anymore and overall it would add a little bit more variety to their already good schedule currently.
Well, it's simple! Because of streaming, bro! WBD is more interested in their streaming service, being Max and also Discovery+, but not CN! The network is no longer their priority, that's why there are no acquired shows on Cartoon Network proper, and not Cartoonito or Toonami, those are different! So, yeah, it does suck that they aren't having as many acquired shows as they used to like that Bakugan reboot that you mentioned or even any Transformers series or whatever! Like, they're not even trying now, bro! It's sad! I blame David Zaslav and WBD for this happening, because what they've been doing right now over there has been and also, is, killing the channel! We used to have loads of this stuff, like used Code Lyoko on back in the day, but now they don't have any of that at all, not even any Canadian animated series that like from Teletoon (now Cartoon Network Canada) either, it's so upsetting to see this happen to them lately, I know they have different plans for the channel going forward, but Tom Aschiem, when he was President of the network, he announced several new shows coming out at the time, even trying to get back to live action programming and trying to produce original live action original programming, like he wanted to do all of these things, but most of them never happened, well some of those shows came out like obviously We Baby Bears, but that's one of the few and he announced more shit like Tweety Mysteries, that was going to be in the same vein as that Looney Tunes spinoff from back in the '90s called The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries where they were both solving mysteries together, it was kind of fun to be honest, y'all should check it out, it's available on iTunes to download and watch, it's a really good show and I highly recommend you guys check it out, and I also think that it's out on Max and Hulu if I'm not mistaken, and also Tubi, I think, as well, but yeah, it was going to be like that but then fast forward to now and it hasn't come out yet, maybe there were production issues, or it could've cancelled during production because of the WBD merger, just like all of the other 50-something animated originals from the studio that were set to premiere on both CN and Max, but never came and we haven't heard anything back on that yet since, and we still don't know if it's coming, I don't what's going on with that show, man! But honestly, they probably don't care, so why should I? I mean, but it's just funny that we haven't heard anything back about it in some time, it's just weird to me! I don't get whatsoever, but one thing that did come out that was announced by him was Home Sweet Rome, one of the live action productions that he announced that was coming to Max and Cartoon Network, but they aren't releasing it here in the US, it's airing in other countries on both platforms, it seriously sucks to see that happen to them, well "them" being CN, and even yeah, not much came to fruition after he left in the summer of 2022, almost two years ago, and they aren't doing anything else with the channel, but I think what is most sad is the fact that they're not promoting any action shows on the channel, like they've all been moved to Adult Swim, like Unicorn Warriors Eternal was moved to Adult Swim, that was origally planned for Cartoon Network, and yeah, that later reran on the channel as part of ACME Night, but the block later on moved Adult Swim and is airing there because Adult Swim got moved to 5pm and is now airing earlier than usual with Checkered Past also airing on the channel as well, they aren't doing anything with it anymore and this is awful, 'cause I really love Cartoon Network, even Nick is beating them right now which is not a good thing, and it so terrible, like CN is basically falling apart at the seems and they're pretty much letting it happen and leaving it behind to die on a hill, and they're moving on, like they just announced a new joint venture with Me TV parent company Wiegel Broadcasting and they're going to be launching a new 24/7 OTA animated only network dedicated to classic cartoons from the 1930s to the '90s and some from the early '00s and that sounds pretty awesome, but what happens with Cartoon Network, I mean, obviously, they're going anywhere, they're not going to get shutdown pr anything like that, so there's no reason to panic, but still, there's an uncertain future ahead for Cartoon Network, like it could be rocky for them, to be honest, the Me TV thing is surely a step in the right direction given that the network had sucess with airing animated programming in the 2010s on the weekends and stuff like that, and they even launched a Saturday morning block dedicated to this stuff back in 2021, and it's been successful for them ever since, and this was all because of the success of airing The Flintstones on the network back on 2019 and they've been killing it and they've been airing it on Sundays with The Jetsons as well, when they got the rights to air that on the schedule, too! And where does that leave Boomerang, they've just recently got back to airing to airing classic programming again and they've been doing great, the schedule's the best it's ever been, with no just airing only three shows a day now, they're doing what Boomerang should've never stopped doing, airing classic cartoons, and they're not just the Looney Tunes, Scooby Doo!, and Tom & Jerry network now, they're actually Boomerang again and that I can appreciate, and it's all thanks to Michael Ouweleen, who has been President of Adult Swim since 2020, and became President of Cartoon Network, Boomerang and also Discovery Family, and he's been trying to add some variety to each one of them and he even on original Smurfs cartoon from 1981, and that premiered in August last year on the channel, so that's great to see, I love that! He did a nice job with that, it's amazing to see that! And they're doing a good jobs with the schedule for that network, not bad at all! The channel, just like CN itself, it's been dead for quite a long time as well, they've not been airing too much lately and that's good to finally see them changing it up a bit, and all of the shows that are going to be on the new Me TV spinoff channel, called Me TV Toons, is going to be from the library of Warner Bros. Discovery and other studios like Classic Media/Dreamworks Classics and Paramount, stuff like that! But yeah, this is exciting news, I'm ready for this, let's go, baby! I love it so much, dude! This is so cool! But it doesn't seem like Cartoon Network is a priority for them anymore, at least not their main one, but in the future, hopefully, we'll see that change eventually, but we'll have to wait and see on that one if that happens, actually! And they go back to focusing on Cartoon Network again, and not just prioritizing Max over the channel, it's just weird to me, that's all! But we'll have to wait and see what happens soon in the future, I don't really know yet what's going to happen or what lies in store for them yet! But I'm gonna be keeping my eye out for them and anything new happening with the channel someday, and I'm gonna be hoping for only the best to happen to Cartoon Network, 'cause they're nearly 32 years in and they're just getting started!
American CN apparently because Cartoon Network Africa got Pokemon Horizons. In hindsight, it's probably the only show since it's been years since they also got Power Rangers and Dragon Ball Super.
Not just africa, cartoon network india has been recently acquiring a lot of anime apart from dragon ball super and kai, they recently acquired digimon adventure and from september of last year they started airing my hero academia and just this may they started showing one piece on the network, even though they started from wano.
Who would they even acquire new kids cartoons from? Old kids shows are plentiful but new ones not claimed by Netflix or rival TV networks are very sparse now. They air anime on AS because they don’t think kids will watch those shows and they don’t want to edit them for daytime.
Well, hope isn't lost. By June, Cartoon Network (US) will finally air the Total Drama Island reboot. I can understand the channel's limited budget, but I wished they focused on improving the lineup and downplay the worst-received programming, like giving Teen Titans Go the final season treatment that continues where "Things Change" left off and continues to adapt the source material until reaching the "Trouble In Tokyo" mini-arc, serving as the conclusion for the series. I had an idea for rebranding ACME Night; if Cartoon Network has all the time and money, they can rebrand ACME Night as a programming block dedicated to retro Cartoon Network shows made from 2010 onwards and mix that with some action cartoons and psychological horror anime that gives the block a "horrible night" aesthetic. Shows include Steven Universe, Regular Show, Hell Girl, Blue Exorcist, One Punch Man, Full Metal Alchemist (2003) and Assassination Classroom. If the block succeeds, more shows would join the lineup, like Mob Psycho 100, Tokyo Ghoul, The Batman (2004), Superman (1996), and even Nichijou. You think that would work? This would be the plan if Toonami Rewind gets discontinued.
Look I knows, that seems bleaks as of now, but what got some highlights of Warner Bros. At Annecy Animation Festival June 9-15, so be prepared for this.
It's nothing out of this world 😒 CN will never close the same thing they said 15 years ago and look there is no difference CN is still accommodating the changes of the Zaslav administration it just needs to be done soon

I'd say Cartoon Network went downhill when Christina Miller became the network's president. Hopefully the next presidents will reverse most of the damage done to the network.
@@Xjnza She increased emphasis of Teen Titans Go and not give the other shows mich exposure. Nowadays with Miller no longer being Cartoon Network's president, the newer presidents have been reorganizing the network to something that is more varied and less problematic.

Me: (John Alexander Junek as Villain) "MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'M GOING TO DESTROY ALL YOUR NEW SHOWS ON CARTOON NETWORK FOREVER"
What about the new Total Drama Island?
Craig of the Creek is airing its 6th season on June 1st, 2024.
They air anime on AS because they don’t think kids will watch those shows and they don’t want to edit them for daytime.
what ever happened to Jade Armor?
Weird video to make literally 3 weeks before the CN premiere of the total drama reboot
Very depressing....
Oh no.
Thank god WB discover exists
I was gonna suggest making a new channel that'll take Cartoon Network's place, but will that even work today with cable going out the window?
No baby, inform yourself well, cable will never die, note that you have never seen TV in your life.
It would be cool if cartoon network acquired a animated Ghostbusters series.
the channel feels so empty with out shows like johnny test, pokemon and ninjago.
I know right!! Legit it feels so weird.
Come on cartoon network yall my most favorite channel
Well they're still Aring Teen Titans Go and I think that's an Acquired Show from Warner Bros.
Warner owns CN, they payed themselves?!
D c network we can t forget Michael s plan
😂😂
Cartoon Network is has so many wack shows today. They have no more oldies but goodies and DC shows. I cant wait to see MeTV Toons.
I know that but you’ll never know what would come to this. Just being honest
@@JarodTheUnreal You don't have to be a genius to know where this will go according to what the sources say, the new CN studios will be in operation for next year, we just need to see how things are done But don't worry
Thanks
@@JarodTheUnreal Because?
I don't know why Disney got the rights it's too pokémon because I don't see many people watching it and now Netflix owns the rights to the TV show
It Would Be Cool If Nickelodeon Acquired The Rights To "Land Of Boggs" & "Chikn Nuggit" From Buzzfeed
Since "Land Of Boggs" & "Chikn Nuggit" Are Long Running Shows Like "The Loud House"
I Hope They Can Rerun "Land Of Boggs" & "Chikn Nuggit" For Many Years To Get Rid Of A Few SpongeBob Timeslots
And "The Loud House" Could Rerun On Nickelodeon Again If This Ever Happens
Nickelodeon Would The Be TheLoudBoggsSpongeNuggit Network If That Ever Happens
If They Also Buy "Good Advice Cupcake" From Buzzfeed
They Might Censor The Swear Words That Cupcake, Cookie & Bun Would Say In That Series
And Put It On Nick Jr. & Then Afterwards Rerun It On Nickelodeon Since It Has Action In It
And Then They Could Buy "Ultimate Guy Pals" From Buzzfeed
To Get The UA-cam Shorts Animation Collection On Their Network
You Thought SpongeBob & Lincoln Loud Would Ruin The Network For Them To Milk It
Nope They Can Also Milk Boe & Boggo
Chikn Nuggit & Cheezborger Included
Cartoon Network Used to be Good until Teen Titans Go came
I'd say Cartoon Network went downhill when Christina Miller became the network's president. Hopefully the next presidents will reverse most of the damage done to the network.
@@NewGabeOrderı Hope
@@NewGabeOrderhow Christina miller Ruined Cartoon Network?
@@Xjnza She increased emphasis of Teen Titans Go and not give the other shows mich exposure. Nowadays with Miller no longer being Cartoon Network's president, the newer presidents have been reorganizing the network to something that is more varied and less problematic.
@@NewGabeOrderTeen Titans Go is The Reason Cartoon Network is Failing
Your new shows are no more
This all David zaslav s’fault.
I still don’t understand why are they so bad at making reboots I mean Johnny test reboot was awful Ben 10 reboot too teen titans I would not say it’s a flop but it’s bad why can’t they make good reboots???
Cause all they want to air is teen titans go crap mostly, and a couple good things here and there like Steven universe, samurai jack, cow and chick, and scooby doo, but mostly their crao no one like s is what they air anymore 90% of the time
No, Johnny Test. No, Peanuts by Schultz. (Still owned by Warner Bros.) No, Pokemon. No, Bakugan. No, Garfield. (Now owned by Paramount) No, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. (Now owned by Disney) No, Hot Wheels. No, Beyblade. No, Yu-Gi-Oh. No, Dragons. (Now owned by Universal Pictures, NBCUniversal) No, Pink Panther and Pals. (Owned by MGM and Amazon) No, Totally Spies. No, Nothing. What's happening to Cartoon Network? WBD, What are you doing to Cartoon Network?! LEAVE CARTOON NETWORK ALONE!!
Let’s face it Cartoon Network has gone downhill ever since they got rid of their action series just to replace it with cheesy comedy
And thats why I don't watch Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel anymore. Cartoons are dead!
Fools, the new shows on cartoon network are officially gone forever mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Cartoon Network is dead.
I miss the classics 🥲 91 baby
