Wow....Too good.I was stumped and quite awestuck when I heard Gospel great Ms.Delores Washington belt it soulfully,jazzy....That was incredible after her cancer recovery!!!And not to forget the great late Rev.James Cleveland...Who sings with so much soul.

I have lived this song. Jesus is the best thing that can happen to anybody . Oh what a friend and Savior.
That was a fantastic song, very powerful! I just wish Jesus was the best thing ever happened to me. I feel as if I was spit out of the heavens, not even Jesus wants me. Honestly! So many rules and laws to follow, so much condemnation and struggles you end up torturing your mind of its health and get dissapointed feeling like a looser, a worthless individual unworthy of being or feeling "saved." Perhaps all this hooplah excitement of Jesus is all a make me feel good illusion that makes you tingle because it feels good and does something to your feel good cells that you think its trully Jesus in you? Dont know anymore but I got tired of hurting my mental health trying to follow a Bible and its requirements to be worthy of being saved.
And I already know all the replies like well you didn't pray hard enough brother or you need to fast brother and give it all to jesus, or you need to lay it on the altar at church, what you're doing something wrong brother you need to clean out your soul, you need to get rid of liquor or you need to get rid of this and you need to get rid of that, or you need to rededicate your life to Jesus brother if you really want to get healed, or you're doing something wrong brother, do you read your Bible brother, or what's your life like brother how is your walk with Jesus, and the list goes on and on and on. Oh believe me I tried and I tried and I've cried and I've cried and I've read and I've read and all that jumping in hoopla about Jesus just did not develop ever.
Forget the hype and the hooplah - we all feel unworthy - we are unworthy - just read the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - in the Bible, over and over until you get it. That's why God had to send Jesus - the only One worthy - He did not come to judge us. He said : "Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone". He also said "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life".
Any other human being will let you down sometime - we don't mean to, that's just what we are. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and ask Him into your life. Walk your life's journey with Him at your side - listen to His voice only.
