    It's expensive because it's not just air force one that costs. They also have to ship the cars and helicopters in giant cargo planes ahead of air force one so that when the president lands at his destination he has his helicopters and motorcade ready and waiting for him to just hop in and go as soon as he steps off air force one.

    So you can buy an entry level Bugatti for $1.9 million or a Cadillac tank for $1.5 million
    I'm going with the Caddy.😅

    Out of curiosity I looked up the blood thing. It appears that as long as it's in a proper container that maintains temperature, with associated cooling methods (probably something like ice packs in with it?) It can be transported no longer than 24 hours at a time without risk of temperatures becoming unstable? If blood is left out at too warm a temperature for more than 30 minutes it is no longer safe to use and must be disposed of. Personally I'd say unless it's in active use even 30 minutes out of a cooling fridge or container sounds like too long. It seems blood breaks down after about 5 days no matter how it's stored.
    I know there's a hospital not terribly far from the White House and I'm pretty sure they'd pick up blood there for motorcades within the capitol. I recall reading about that hospital having a special presidential suite just in case. I'd bet secret service also monitors the blood like how they monitor the president's food to prevent toxins and poisons from being slipped in. At least, I think that would make sense.

    There are several sets of the motorcade vehicles as when the President travels overseas or to non Washington areas of the USA a set motorcade vehicles are flown out in advance so are waiting on arrival.

      Yes there was 3 c130's that landed in Jackson Hole 3 - 4 days before the President did. One c130 didn't make it out of Jackson, was scattered on the belly of the Sleeping Indian.

    Motorcades are supposed to be those armoured vehicles which carry important people like for example the President of the United Stated or any other head of state or political figures, but the American ones are perhaps the most discussed by foreign people and also by the Americans themselves, as they make more news and like other important heads of state, they are actually too many, like a never ending procession, involving a lot of other vehicles such as police motorcycles and cars which carry members of the press, security and ambulances...., a procession which has undoubtedly enormous costs for the community and this may create a lot of problems among the taxpayers, especially in these moments of economical crisis. Great topic, as usual and thank you.

    Just starting this video. I’m excited to watch. The first thing I will say is that security around Presidential motorcades is very high. One of the 4 US Presidents who was killed was in a motorcade. And another was shot in an attempted assassination near his car. It’s a vulnerable position. As an American taxpayer, I do not begrudge the $ we pay for security.

      If you’re really interested in the US Secret Service perspective, Agent Clint Hill is still alive and he has given interviews that you can find on UA-cam. It’s fascinating to hear him talk.

      They’ve written about the technology that is aboard Air Force One and how President Bush was in the air all day on 9/11. I just love reading about it. I’ll stop now. 😂

    Protection has gotten more sophisticated over the years. The White House & President historically always tried to be more open and accessable *looking* to the people. You may be familiar with the singer Meatloaf. Somewhere on youtube is his Late Show interview where he talks about being THERE when JFK was assisinated. Its an amazing story and a different time. Pre WWII I beilieve it was possible to just walk up to the whtie house (at least at some point it was THAT accessable) But yeah, US presidents have risked a lot to be accessable and paid for it.

      Statistically it's the most dangerous job on the planet. (Although skewed because of the low number of presidents because the US is a fairly young nation) of the 45 presidents, 4 have been killed, 2 have been wounded, and there are an additional 26 foiled assassination attempts.

    Hey Zangieff, how is life going in Russia? I hear the russian central bank said: "Inflation in Russia now stands at 17.6% and is on track to accelerate to 22% this year, while the economy is set to shrink by 9.2% in 2022". Can you please explain what did you mean when you said Russia is imune to western sanctions? I would like to understand, thanks.

    Well, the US Americans like it bombastic 😂. And of course the Russians have to follow suit 😂. Nobody here would accept such nonsense. Even the highest representatives of state like Federal President’s or Federal Chancellor’s cars will be accompanied by no more than one or two security cars as it is common practice in Europe. Anything else would just be seen ridiculous! 😅. Motorcades? Very, very seldom to honour visiting state guests who think of themselves they need this sort of show like US presidents, Putin, President of China, King of Saudi Arabia just to name some usual suspects 😅. Ah yes, and poisoned dissidents from Russia giving medical treatment to ensure they do not decease miraculously on the transport from the airport to the clinic. That I fully justify and appreciate!

    • @ZangieffReacts
      @ZangieffReacts  2 роки тому +2

      I’d agree the all these motorcades are too much. But, still, these are the leaders of nuclear counties. Don’t know whether it justifies is or not. Of course some extra pathos is in place 😊

    Blood? He's a blood thirsty vampire! I'm sure what they didn't tell us was the intelligence they gather to know if there is a creditable threat. You just know there are helicopters and fighter jets off and available in a seconds notice.
