All those perennials that were planted years ago from the original owners are such a blessing! Who knows what will pop up during the season? A gift from Mother Nature!
When you see daffodils, you know there was an old homestead there. Here, in the North Georgia mountains, it's a clear sign that a old homestead was nearby.
Yes you are blessed with those beauties that can be dug up and replanted if need be! Daffodils and iris are both gorgeous 😍 If you can't get that sticker vine off that Bradford Pear it's no great loss. They're evasive plus they're whimpy trees and break easily in stormy weather!
Love seeing Nala. Shes beautiful! She looks very happy! Praying you all are on your land quicker than you expect! Hope you get all the things to make camper life a little more bearable. God Bless and keep you safe.
The day Lilly's, daffodil's, and iris's were planted years ago by former owners of the land. They're not wild. They will last forever. They are definitely perennials and you will have them forever. Been living in a camper 3yrs while working on our farm. Try this, check into a couple of used 100lb tanks and a dolly. get an adapter to connect them. You can use the small ones as emergency till you get the others refilled. We use ours for winter heat, cooking outside inches summe and sometimes our fridge. You'll make it. It does get easier. Hey guys! Sorry about the heat issue. Live and learn! I think you should get rid of the Bradford pear. It's pretty, but doesn't fruit. Plant fruit trees you like, then you'll get beauty AND food! Blessings, Texas Deb ❤️
Also, smells awful. Plant a real pear tree that will grow well in your area. Daffodils, Irises are beautiful will come back each year and they mutiply.
I believe if you take a piece of the limb with the leaves and flowers to a nursery and ask someone there. That way you can make sure if it is an actual fruit tree.😊
They are right. Bradford pears do not produce edible fruit. Not only do they stink but their branches are not strong. The first bad storm you have you're likely to find downed limbs from it.
Jason and Brooke over at Cog hill figured out it was more economical to heat with a electric heater because the propane was way too expensive to run for heat. They have lived in a camper for 6 months so far. They too didn't expect the heat to be such a big draw on their tanks.
Lesson learned. I'm willing to bet that never happens again. Nala has such good parents, more people need to treat animals the way you treat yours. Love them and they will love you back X's 100. Hugs to Y'all Ü
I am so excited to see what’s next in your projects. I would love to do what you’re doing, but I became handicapped about 3 years ago. So watching city slickers become country folks is very cool in my book. Shannon, I love that app too! 😂🤣
It’s never fun running out of propane when it’s cold out. Spent a winter in a camper and it was the coldest winter we ever had. Good luck to you all on this. Love watching your Videos.
I agree we usually go south we live full time in our 5th wheel toy hauler. Spent this winter 🥶 in Michigan and yes it’s tough. We always have a heater on standby. Been there have the T shirt lol. God bless you and your family. 🙋🏻♀️♥️🇺🇸
Been living in my motorhome for the last 8 plus years, in Michigan. It's been a learning experience that's for sure. No nighttime propane available here nor weekend services. Weekends can be very long if you run out. AS low as 13 °F inside.
Newbies to camper life mostly seem to have the same problem. CogHill40 's Jason & Brooke had similar problems. Their system operates on propane & electricity & they werenot aware of this.
especially for kyle, get a sunroom screen room so you can sit outside and bees and wasps or yellow jackets can't get to either of you or your dog...gives you outside time BUT STAKE IT DOWN love the videos
Love the flowers, budding trees on your land. Your camper life is going to be stories for the future campfires to be told. Enjoy the bad and the beautiful. GOD BLESS. Huston from Arms Family will be wanting all those tortoises😉💕🙏
I live for country living! Born and raised country girl here. Tried living in the city 12 1/2 years and hated every minute of it. Love sitting outside and relaxing with the smells and sounds of nature around. Falling asleep to crickets and frogs is peaceful dreams. Enjoy those moments for they are priceless!
I love to see you all exploring your land. I'd love to walk through it and id some of the plants and trees with you. The irises will be beautiful! One the other hand, beware of the Bradford pear trees. They are weak trees because of their structure...the deep joints give way to the wind in storms etc. They will also seed themselves all over your property and cause great troubles for you. Plus they have horrible thorns on them...I've met them personally! I am so happy for you two. I am a plant nerd. You're on your way with the plant id app! Enjoy! God bless you.
Bradford Pears are also considered a noxious weed and as you said Pat they will take over and choke out the good trees and they are a weak wood and will snap in a heavy wind. Even tho pretty they are a pain.
Nola, it's great to see you enjoying your new place. Tell Dad to take you to the new property. Tell Mom you want some ducks to play with. Hey guys, you are all having the same spring we are in TN. One day it is freezing cold and the next it is 70 or raining. LOL It's better than 3 foot of snow for months and months. Enjoy yourselves and hug Nola for me. (I do miss having a dog.) Stay safe.
ALERT👍 Iwill give you a helpful suggestion about your propane! Don’t turn on both bottles at once, hook them both up but leave one turned off so you’re not having to change out two bottles in the middle of the night if it goes out and you’re unaware they’re low, this way you just run out in the night and turn on the full one until morning! Be sure to light the one range burner, when changing out bottles or turning on a new bottle to release air in line otherwise your furnace heat may not ignite. I have 4 bottles at all times, two in the hole and two on the ground or in my truck to get filled! Do what ya want, but this was a good lesson for y’all! Y’all got this! Happy Camping! I’ve lived in my 37’ for 12yrs and learned a lot about my RV 5th wheel since it’s a ‘96 Carriage and they are not made any longer, best RV ever made, by the Amish! ❤️👍🥰
I'm so glad you went to your property to enjoy some spring beauty. Good you guys and you dog have a nice place to walk and enjoy while you are temporarily living in your camper. God bless Take care ❤
Thank you for sharing your yard is pretty an getting green it will be summer soon an it's a good time for fresh air it makes us feel better. God Bless you all
Good to see you adjusting to your new situation. I can't imagine living in a camper but you'll get to your land soon enough & this will all seem like a dream.
One day at a time guys, one day at a time. You're doing this to alleviate stress, so take it slow and enjoy all the ups and downs and learning curves and know that you'll fulfill your dream in the end. God Bless.
she looks so happy. it looks so peaceful there. it will all come together. you have come a long way. and your land is beautiful. love all the progress you done already thank you for taking us along with you. god bless.
So pleased you’ve begun to feel more settled in the RV and campsite with outdoor living. As the weather warms up hopefully make it slightly easier. Hopefully won’t be long and you’ll be able to put the RV on your land. Have a good week 🙏💕
The daffodils and irises may have been planted by the original owners. The bulbs will multiply and spread. They are such an awesome first flower and sign of spring. You go through a lot of propane when it gets cold in a camper. Glad you have a backup to your backup. You can always use a 20 lb tank on the homestead. It’s a bummer you need to wait so long for a well to be drilled but you will be able to do other projects on the homestead. You are not lacking projects 😂. Packing and moving to a storage unit is a lot of work. Take time to relax and recharge. Thanks for the update. ❤️🌷🌸
Thank you for showing the campground. My 5 year old granddaughter wants to experience camping so bad so I was thinking the KOA would be the safest spot. I am so excited for you guys.

I feel you guys on the going from house to camper 🤗 but I went in to a trailer do to a house fire. It was a little hard at first going from a mile of living space to a limited space lol I spent more time out door with the trailer then when I was living in the house lol made more pit fires too.(even when it snowed) lol Love the sound of the cricket's and frogs and the rain when going it was time to go sleep (the best sleep) rite now you have rules and regulations do to being in a camp sights but you will see the big change when y'all get that camper on your own land. Check with your county agriculture office. Some areas will swap out fruit and flowering trees for every Bradford pear you cut down! Actual fruit trees not only put on a show in the spring, but also provide food in the summer.
In 6yrs living in camper, the first time is the worse, ran out of propane at night and in the cold. had to wait till am to get refill. But now you have stories and can laugh about it. Have fun. Love watching y'all.
I am 68 years old and was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. I used say, "I can't wait to grow up and move out, I will live in town." Well after living in a tiny town for a while, I wouldn't trade the country life for all the big or small city life. I truly miss it. God bless
All these things ya'll are experiencing might be tough but, one day you will look back and say Those were the days! Lol! What doesn't kill ya makes you stronger! Enjoy each and every video! Keep on truckin!
Kyle there should be a outdoors shower on the back side of your camper. Put down a pallet and hang a curtain up and you will have the tall man's shower. Lol
Yes, the land is so beautiful! You all have been helping Chad and Rae a lot. So excited for both of you alls channel. Yes, I just noticed them in the background. May be Iris ... yes. Once you all have water you can move the camper out here!!! and you can step outside anytime. Our weather has been messed up also. We are expecting snow again this weekend!!! The daffodils are so beautiful.
You guys will do alright, glad you will not freeze, anymore, it is nice at least to get to know your land a little bit, awesome dog. I hope your dad is doing better now that smokey is back, I felt bad for him. It nice to see you relax a little bit, because you seem very happy that's nice.
Greetings 👋... I so enjoy your videos.. Fun n interesting things to see.. I also find them peaceful too.. Many thanks.. Sending GOD'S love and peace to you all!!! 🙏🌹💚
There’s always something new to Learn and discover!! You two are doing great, soon you’ll be old pros at tiny living and soon Country living!! Thanks for sharing with us. Very fun to watch you learn and grow!!!
The Iris's are beautiful and easy to grow! I used to have a yard full of them!! They multiply without having to replant them. they roots multiplies itself~~
......you are now seasoned enough to help another beginner by asking them if they checked their propane tanks! lol These will be the stories you tell around a campfire one day.....I am SO happy for you!
Have fun camping. Have a blast getting to explore your property more and more. Hoping your weather straightens out (and mine too in N Texas-crazy crazy weather). Enjoy dreaming and making plans for your property.
Daffodil and narcissus both beautiful flowers. There's a lot more colour variety's in the narcissus but it's splitting hairs. You are doing great. Camper life will soon be a distant memory and you'll be living on your own piece of heaven without crippling debt. Keep aiming for the stars.
Definitely keep the pear 🍐 trees . There awesome .. the one that came up to different trees . Looks like the birch tree was there and that other tree planted a seedling next to it ... Just a bit don't show us or anyone where ur cams are 🤔😉 that for ur safety luvs .. 🤷♀️🦋 The grounds look amazing and keep ur Iris and the daffodils .. if u don't till right there they will for ever keep coming back every yr ... As for temps . It April 6 now and 12pm and already 89° here in Tucson Arizona 🦎🌵🌻 the lizards are all over LOL 🤣🤣🤣 The best way to adjust to the camper life .. don't stay inside "Get Out" as much as possible .. ☺️🤙🥰 Have a wonderful day and Blessed weekend . Love from Tucson Arizona 💗🦎🌵🌻🦉👩🌾🌵🦎💗
I can't wait to get into the 70's. We are still at mostly 50's here in New Hampshire, but next week is looking promising. OMGOSH! No snow! Its suppose to be spring 😢 that duck might have a nest back there
They aren't WILD daffodils. They're naturalized daffodils. Someone planted them at some point and they have survived and multiplied and "migrated" away from their original locations a bit. Lots of bulbs will do that. Plant some crocus, tulips and snowdrops and next spring you'll have them bloom...they are a harbinger of spring. Iris don't bloom until a bit later. I love big beds of multi colored daylilies. Spring is one of my favorite seasons because of all the blooms and new growth. Enjoy learning all that your property has to offer. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
You guys should go watch Good Simple Living’s old videos. They had a big shop built on their property in Idaho and sold their house to moved into an Rv in their shop. They then built a two bedroom apartment type space in the back of the shop and moved into it. The RV was sold and they are still living in the apartment while they are building their house, mostly themselves. Something like that little living space they built in the shop would be perfect for you guys to start out. Stairs were built that led to the space above the apartment so they have storage all above the apartment/living space. Very clever. They have four children. Cool channel. I am sure it would give you tons of ideas. It would be a little more spacious than the RV, you could sell the RV and put that money towards building your house. Jeremy and Melissa of Good Simple Living are very good people and I have loved watching their progress. He was a cop and her education was as a teacher. He quit his job and they got out like you guys have done. She stayed home and home schooled their children and still does home schooling. It has been amazing watching them build their own house and learn as they go along.
From someone who didn't know, know where your camper fuses are located, there are usually 2 different place..... :) OH, and the awning? Make sure its up when you aren't home, cause, quick storms......have fun!
I am surprised that the iris and daffodil bulbs have survived after this much time without care. All that heavy rain and snow payed off. There were racoons in the video. I love your pear tree. I will come back but needs some fertilizer.
love, love, love iris! my Mom always told me they need to be weeded, because they don't like stuff in their bed! those and lilac bushes are two of my favorites.
Obviously an old home site very close by. Daffodils, iris and daylillies are common for older homes. I can't wait to see other flowers, shrubs and trees that you have. My degree is in horticulture.
There are 2 new videos - one on Sonne Farms & the other on Arms Family that might be helpful to you - both are about clearing the small trees & thick brush. Each are using a different attachment to a skid steer, both do a great job. Be worth checking if rental or hiring someone is available in your area. Makes quick work & provide ground feeding mulch, as it decomposes. Not sure how long you’re going to be in camper, would it possible/less expensive to get a 250 or 500 gal tank brought to the farm? Kevin at Hidden Heights did a video not to long ago on how to refill smaller tanks off the larger one (like for a small Coleman camper grill). Turtle soup is good! But their head comes out a lot further than you think! LOL God bless you both on your new adventure!
You are really on a wonderful journey in your lives. Enjoy every step along the way. You will enjoy every bit of your creation on your land. Lovely video. 💖
All those perennials that were planted years ago from the original owners are such a blessing! Who knows what will pop up during the season? A gift from Mother Nature!
Those daffodils and irises can be dug up and split once the greenery dies back. They will just continue to multiple and look gorgeous.
Yes they can be divided and are not wild someone planted those Bulbs and Rhizomes probably the previous Owners 🌼🌺

The Iris's are beautiful and easy to grow! I used to have a yard full of them!! They multiply without having to replant them. they roots multiplies itself~~
......you are now seasoned enough to help another beginner by asking them if they checked their propane tanks! lol
These will be the stories you tell around a campfire one day.....I am SO happy for you!
I'd say that's a big flower bed I'd be interested to see what else comes up besides the iris and daffodils
Bless your hearts ... so naive.... so much to learn. Wish you all the best !!! Love you all 3 !! Thanks for sharing.
You have to wait for the leaves to come out fully before you can determine the tree varieties for sure.
Definitely keep the pear 🍐 trees . There awesome .. the one that came up to different trees . Looks like the birch tree was there and that other tree planted a seedling next to it ... Just a bit don't show us or anyone where ur cams are 🤔😉 that for ur safety luvs .. 🤷♀️🦋
The grounds look amazing and keep ur Iris and the daffodils .. if u don't till right there they will for ever keep coming back every yr ... As for temps . It April 6 now and 12pm and already 89° here in Tucson Arizona 🦎🌵🌻 the lizards are all over LOL 🤣🤣🤣
The best way to adjust to the camper life .. don't stay inside "Get Out" as much as possible .. ☺️🤙🥰
Have a wonderful day and Blessed weekend . Love from Tucson Arizona 💗🦎🌵🌻🦉👩🌾🌵🦎💗
Love the daffodils their beautiful 🙏💕🌻🌟
Make sure its up when you aren't home, cause, quick storms......have fun!
you can dig up your Irises and make a beautiful Iris bed depending on what zone you live in how to plant them
Enjoying your channel. Always look forward to your next adventure
You need larger propane tanks go to a propane distributor or even Tractor Supply for full size bottles
I am surprised that the iris and daffodil bulbs have survived after this much time without care. All that heavy rain and snow payed off. There were racoons in the video. I love your pear tree. I will come back but needs some fertilizer.
I love the spring daffodils. I'm enjoying binge-watching the older channels. God Bless! ❤🙏
Very nice seeing all the things around you Very cool. And I love the Queen👑😊❤✌🏻
Old Fashion iris are beautiful blue flowers. Plant them like ducks sitting on water, if you plant them too deep they will not bloom.
Oh no! Glad you were able to find a place to get a new tank! We too can have all 4 seasons in one day too here in Minnesota!! 😁
love, love, love iris! my Mom always told me they need to be weeded, because they don't like stuff in their bed! those and lilac bushes are two of my favorites.
Both look less stressed. The gas was a newbie mistake. Enjoy the camping lifestyle.🥰
Obviously an old home site very close by. Daffodils, iris and daylillies are common for older homes. I can't wait to see other flowers, shrubs and trees that you have. My degree is in horticulture.
This time of year is great to be on your property. Exciting to see all the exciting comings.
LOL
God bless you both on your new adventure!
Hang in there guys. It gets better as the dreams come true.
Beautiful property! Just hold that thought...til the hardship passes & your in your home.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. Being able to get to the property
You are really on a wonderful journey in your lives. Enjoy every step along the way. You will enjoy every bit of your creation on your land. Lovely video. 💖
