It looks like the lenses in the day and night camera are different angles again, with the day lens being more wide angle than the night version. This drives us crazy as you cannot compose the picture properly. This was a huge complaint in the Patriot is seems like it fell on deaf ears. I have to agree with the viewer who said the image quality is subpar to the HP5 cameras. And by far!! Browning needs to re-find their way back to superb quality trail cams (like the Recon Force Advantage). Cheaper amazon cameras are outshining Browning on so many levels right now.
Great review, well explained. Far from the Nano not being a good camera, but I'll point out what I found in my opinion. I got some video samples and in my opinion the Elite HP5 is better for the same price. The NANO's 4K has a lower bitrate than the HP5's 1080p using the same codec (h264). I found the night image very pixelated and lacking in definition. Nano: 20 Mb/s day 4K/23fps 20 Mb/s night 4k/23fps. HP5 24 Mb/s day and night at 1080p/60fps I also found that the sound of the Nano has a background noise that gets in the way a bit, but the sound is louder.
You're absolutely right, the Advantage model was perfect, the picture and sound quality was surreal. The video below is from Advantage ua-cam.com/video/z-2Dw4KjAaQ/v-deo.htmlsi=gnMY2sY_x2AkNTGr
Thanks for the info. That Spec Ops Elite HP5 is my favorite all around trail camera. It's also hard to beat that camera. Especially for video. I enjoyed spending time with the Nano. It's a nice little trail camera that can be placed where it's unnoticed as well.
If you are referring to the Dark Ops Pro vs the Nano. The Pro is cheaper. The Dark Ops Pro DCL NANO has dual lens technology and has 26 mp vs 24. The DCL NANO also offers 4k video. You can go to browningtrailcameras.com to check the differences.
Thank you for the review. Waiting for something really new next year. As a user of multiple brands , I think that doble lens cameras are not the future.
Thank you for the great review!
Anytime! Thanks for giving us so many great options!

Thank you for the comment. Someone should tell Browning that most of the users miss the Advantage Model

Hi, many thanks for the review. Which difference, if you know, between Dark Ops Pro Dcl and Dark Ops pro Dcl Nano. Thanks in advance.

It's exciting to see what's going to come out next for sure. Also, I feel like something is going to change trail cameras as we know it.
