Well done! I love, love notions. I have so many. You should check out lifting pin and needles. She has a hack on the waist band of the glissando that’s genius.
Thank you for showing us your lovely makes for 2023. The waist coat is wonderful and I like your idea of using that fabric as your base to match other fabrics with. 🌸
Hi Angela. Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too! ✝️ After the New Year I am going to start back sewing. right now. I am just enjoying Christ's birth and enjoying my family. You have beautiful makes. I look forward to seeing what you make in 2024.😊
My favorites this year are the Megan Nielson Acadia panties, Sew Mag's turtleneck and DIBY Anything Tee. My least favs are an old Butterick 5702 from 1998. Too big.
Golly, maybe I should get my Duet pattern printed on paper already! 😜 I've got the Glissando as well, and wanted to try the pants. It's hard to name a favorite, but a couple of the most-worn garments would have to be a corduroy Leonora Skirt (Seamwork) and my Agnes PJs (Paper Theory) that were a subscription box choice. The Love Notions Compose robe runs really close! I love all my Love Notions patterns that I've used so far, too, and I've got a bunch that aren't printed yet. No real disasters, but a couple that the fit is off juuuust enough that they didn't get much wear. Thanks so much for the roundup, and many great wishes to you and your family for a great Christmas, peace and good health in the New Year! 🥰🎄🎅
Thanks for sharing, Lynn! I'll have to check out the Lenora and Agnes patterns. I'd love to make something with corduroy. Hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too!
Thank you for sharing your makes , they are lovely! Did you sew or knit the hat you are wearing? It’s gorgeous and I would like to make it . I’m currently sewing the Be Mine Balloon sleeve top by Pattern Emporium, their patterns are only PDF , but are very well drafted and on special at the moment, Bridget
Hi Bridget! Thanks so much for your kind comment! I sewed the hat out of a fleece remnant from Stylemaker using an old pattern, Simplicity 8036. Check out Ep 93 for more details on that, if you're interested. The pattern gave me some trouble and was quite frustrating, so I ended up figuring out my own way about halfway through. That's great that you're making the Be Mine top! I don't have any PE patterns but I've got my eye on some, especially with the special they have right now. I"m happy to hear that they are well-drafted. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely weekend and a very Happy New Year!
I love the Pants-uary idea so much! I normally am bored by pants--I really HATE the process of shopping for them. There isn't a big selection in stores, they're expensive, often times (slacks at least) are no longer made with pockets and belt loops, and I have to try on a ton because they look weird on me. I'm pretty curvy so I feel like it's hard finding pants that flatter my shape. They often look like I've forced myself into them, I get a pouch in the crotch and wrinkles there, too, but sizing up makes them too big because it's only 'tight' around certain areas. Ughhh... Pants-shopping makes me unhappy lol... Anyway, I see so many cute pants patterns so I'm actually the most excited about pants I've ever been in my life. 😄
That's awesome! I can soooo.... relate to this. Finally "perfecting" my pants fit has made sewing pants a much more rewardable experience. While I still do like shopping for ready-to-wear (both new and thrifted), I hardly ever have the need to buy premade pants because I know I can sew up a pair that will fit better and have all the pockets my heart desires, lol! Which patterns are you considering?
@@JustMeAndMyFabric Yeah, I love that you can count on yourself to still provide a comfortable pair of pants or at least edit a pair of pants that you bought from the store to be more comfortable. If those b*stards don't want to give me pockets, I'll add them myself! 😆 lol... I actually don't know how to sew 😅 I would like to start this year and so have been researching and watching videos to prep myself. My bday is in a couple of months, so I'll ask my SO for my first sewing machine then! ☺
What a great year you had! Busy busy!
Thank you so much!

Thank you! And thanks for the tip 👍🏻
