+Ethan The Dragon Master Agreed, competition brings out the best from these companies and we as gamers benefit from it. However, it brings out the worst from fanboys.
They need to add Black (an underrated single player FPS that didn't sell well unfortunately), remove the 30 FPS cap that was in the original game, and make it run in proper widescreen. Then we'll be seeing some nice progress.
Great video! I really hope those are the results we will eventually get using emulation, and of course I hope that the plans for PS2 games running on PS4 are actually happening.
If I recall the Original Xbox version of Black did run at 60fps which wouldn't surprise me considering multiplats on the Xbox usually ran games at better/more stable framerates with better graphics due to the stronger hardware.
Herve Shango who said that? All I ask is if we can now play gta san andreas and gta vice city on ps4, I don't even have a ps4 buddy, I'm just fucking asking something.
Battlefront 1&2 with online support (probably hoping too much), Gran Turismo 3&4, Shadow of the Collossus(is that how you spell it?), Need for speed Underground 2, MGS 2&3, Black, etc. Hoping to play this games when it comes out.
I would be interested if you could also analyse the framerate of these PS2 games on PCSX2, just to see how it fares (especially since it can run real PS2 discs, so no pirating required).
I know this is an old video but could you run a check on Wild Arms 3 on PS2 and PS4. That game is an interesting case as it uses field rendering meaning it only renders half the resolution for each screen update which often causes uglyness in form of resolution going down by half during any movement and screen shaking up and down whenever it drops frames, which happens on the end battle screen or when using a spell on more than 4 enemies at once. I'm really curious how they handled that on the PS4 seeing as their usual setting of 4X resolution would still mean that the game would run at (roughly) 1280X448. Than there is the issue of how the rendering of the original is handled, as in they never render the whole screen at once and on the PCSX if you simply scale it X4 you get really ugly shaking all the time.
x4 resolution=1280x448? I...don't think that's accurate? 2560x2048 / 2 = 1280x1024 right? Am I misunderstanding what you're saying? Cuz I used PCSX2's resolution measurement and just halved what numbers it spat at me when I cranked Persona 4 to x4.
Maybe I'm out of the loop here but how are they playing PlayStation 2 games on the PS4? Is this a feature only a select few are getting access to right now?
Yeah, I know that's the point, but still PS3 PSN had so many problems in getting the license for PS1/PS2 classics (expecially in Europe) that I'm not even hoping anymore to see the games I want to be there. :/
It seems pretty obvious to me that this is not just simple emulation. This is probably more of a combination, as there is even some assets here and there like textures that have been replaced with higher resolution ones. They probably both rewrote parts of the code and replaced assetts instead of making a full remaster/port to ps4.
@digitalfoundry. do you, guys have any idea why it's not a locked 60? I mean. just look at those graphics. they can be done on a cellphone today. is emulating so demanding?
They wont change performance on other titles. The star wars games were developed specifically for this emulator, but the biggest selling point for the ps2 was the huge library of 3rd party titles, so don't expect every game to live up to this standard. What I find interesting is how they can increase the native rezolution without too many issues, in my experience upscaling old games causes severe frame-rate issues on most modern television sets.
so can we just pop in any ps2 game right now and play. ?? or do we need to wait for an update or what's the deal . this was kept on the Down low to well
I've been avoiding videos about the PS2 emulation because I figured it would around the same framerate and quality. OMG THE PULLED PC LEVEL EMULATION HERE!! I'm actually glad pretty excited about this. I still have 2 PS2s in the other room but this may give me a reason to turn on my PS4.
3:35- Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS3 and XBox 360 has 60 Frames Per Seconds and less Frame Rate drops, I prefer those versions over the PS2 Snake Eater, because it disappointed me with its majority of 30 FPS after watching early MGS3 Trailers.
This is really not backwards compatibility.. Both Xbox One and PS4 are literally just "porting" games.. Backwards compatibility for me at least is to be able to put a ps2 disc and play. And i don't think its like that at all.
If you own a lot of ps2 disks, it would be nice to see perfected emulation on them, kind of like how the Xbox 360 was able to play original Xbox titles before, better yet, it wouldn't mind it if it downloaded the game and it's necessary files onto the hdd, for even faster load times
+subterraa then try to run star wars battlefront with splitscreen on pcsx2. at least you can skip every 2nd frame but it is still pretty much unplayable with an i5 + gtx970
Still prefer playing on PCSX2 it gives us more options, graphically I mean. It’s free as well. Plus we have widescreen patches to make games and UI scale to 16:9 screen ratio.
PCSX2 is a piece of software designed to emulate a PS2, the problem with this is the software is limited, after a certain point it doesn't matter how powerful your PC is, the software is just too limited due to either poor coding or optimization, like PC games Vs console games, it's easier for a team to emulate to one set of hardware, as apposed to a multitude of different combinations.
WARNING: Do not scroll down past this point. There are a ton of cancerous comments saying how the PS4 sucks just because it drops 3 frames on an EMULATOR.
Here's my list of PS2 games on PS4: Sly Cooper and The Thievious Raccoonus Ratchet & Clank Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando Jak & Daxter Jak 2 Jak 3 GTA 3 GTA Vice City GTA San Andreas GTA Vice City Stories MGS2: Sons of Liberty MGS3: Snake Eater Neopets: The Darkest Faerie The Simpsons: Hit and Run Taz: Wanted Crash Tag Team Racing Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex I-Ninja PacMan World 2 Sonic Heros Resident Evil Code Veronica X Devil May Cry 1 & 3 Spider Man 1 and 2 Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly Maximo Primal and Megaman X7 (jk, we don't talk about that) If I didn't name a game, it's because I never had it.
Framerates are not unlocked if Vsync is enabled... soooooo wtf why do you keep saying "unlocked". Also you say that V-Sync is disabled with Star Wars Racer Revenge and you say it has an unlocked framerate...well no "unlocked" means there is no framerate cap... so what you are saying about unlocked framerate for that game isn't actually true. Although with proper phrasing next time you should say "capped at 60fps" seeing as you misuse the word unlocked quite a bit in this video.
I think all of those games (except Racer Revenge) runs on Xbox in perfect 60 frames with higher resolution textures. So that remains the best versions.
For some reason I find 1080p on games outdated from 15 years ago looking worse than the blurry old ones, you see lack of detail a lot more clearly when old games run in 1080p. It looks like it was sloppily made rather than out-dated all of a sudden.
+Regular Original oh someone who think like me, i don't get why people always want 4k resolution and stuff, i don't see much improvment either 1080p/720p is fine and old games i always play with their original resolution cause they look bad if you increase. as a example i play the sims 2 in 800x600 cause if you increase the resolution the loadings screens get glitched.
wizofhell hahaha really? du think?? cause It runs fine on my PC oh and not to mention that I only paid $14 for it on G2A and $8 for the season pass... how much did you pay for your version $110+ tax??? The game was a lazy port but at least it looks better than any console... The fact the some devs are too damn lazy to properly developed a game for PC doesn't mean PC its underpowered such as your ancient hardware...
wizofhell why cause some lazy as developer made some fucked up port? PC can be as good as your pockets can be... unlike consoles which equals a communist state you need to play on what sony or ms tell you to... and you know what's funny? that even though its a lazy port the game looks and runs better (NOV 24/15) than your 900p 30fps...
+hussar16 It's upscaled to 1080p. Most PS2 games ran at 480i (unless they supported progressive scan AKA 480p) There was the occasional game that ran at 1080i like Gran Turismo 4 but it was pretty rare.
Why does everybody feels the need to talk crap about sonny? I'm glad that they are doing this, i have a huge collection of ps2 titles and it just doesnt feel right to hook up my ps2 to my big ass 1080p screen, now maybe i can finally play the games that i used to play when i was younger on my ps4 at a better resolution and a more stable frame rate, so why the fuck not? I mean i see guys talking about xbox one and 360 games and how they run better this i mean this is a ps4 video but ok i guess it's nice to hear that.. how about current games like Bo3 that run at 900p or battlefront 720p isntead of 1080p and 900p? ... And for the pc yeah it's great and all but not all off us want to spend alot of money or sit in front of a monitor for hours ... This is getting ridiculous now ...
I understand the want for BC, but not the need. It's a great extra feature to have but it won't decide what console I buy. Cause if u are buying a new next gen console to play old generic games, then why even bother getting a new generation console. Save your money, use it for something else and play all your favorite games.
+Vintage Yu-gi-oh No, at least for now. I can only assume they eventually bring PS1 emulation later on. Just don't expect ps3 emulation or any sort of backwards compatibility.
PS2 was really nice era to play games. An era where people did not care about resolution and frame rate but cared about the game and fun.
True that.
+Kartik Sharma because consoles weren't a bargain and PCs weren't nearly as good as they are right now...
+Kartik Sharma I totally agree with you.
+Kartik Sharma I don't think we knew about resolution and frame rate in those days. I know I didn't.
So true mate, I totally agree. Plus we didn't have the bullshit of Microtransactions either.
this is why competition is good.
+Ethan The Dragon Master then people have more things
yes. competition is amazing because it benefits. the poo flinging from fanboys is what makes it frustrating
+Ethan The Dragon Master Indeed.
agreed
+Ethan The Dragon Master Agreed, competition brings out the best from these companies and we as gamers benefit from it. However, it brings out the worst from fanboys.
Come on Sony let us be able to play PS2 discs on PS4.
+RedX165 They'll have to somehow get an update to overwrite the Blu-Ray firmware for it to recognize the disc.
+Matthew N not drive firmware, all it needs to read is data, when it does that the system firmware is the one who should know which data to load
+Matthew N Xbox already did it.
+Who Dat Ninja Xbox fid what?
+dangeros31 Xbox One backwards compatibility works if you have a disc for a compatible game. Pop it in and there you go.
Ah the good all days, when games weren't spilt in half then sold back to you in DLC'S.
kravez ESO more like split in quarters
I have a huge library of ps2 games. I'm glad I held onto all my discs. Can't wait to play A-Spec again.
THE- REAL-GAMER Never really thought about doing that. I should look into it. It'd still be nice to be able to use my old ps2 discs in my ps4 though.
DrearierSpider1 I'm pretty sure they will or they wouldn't be able to promote it as backward compatibility.
THE- REAL-GAMER Yeah I guess they never said anything about BC just emulation.
+NYGamer A-Spec? are you talking about GT3?
TheGamersTrailer yep the last great GT.
I live how this channel is improving
PS2 is the best console of all time. Like if you agree
GameCube masterrace
Its the best in the sense that the game library is really big
Strangepete That's what I meant, the ps2 is the best console of all time because it has the best library of games
I fucking hate these kind of comments likes-begging. Like if you agree
PS1 is the best console of all time. PS2 is up there though.
i can emulate any ps2 game in full 4k upscale at full 60fps without issue thanks to pcsx2
who cares? we're talking about ps4 here
Carlo eee already aged out console which means nothing already ok i will keep my 4k 60fps since it's 10000% better
do you know if you plug your old PS2 in any 4k TV/Montitor you get 4k upscaling.
+Gaming and Engine Tutorials no you can't
+BSC4PE What elitism? he was stating facts and also letting other people know that there's a better way to play your PS2 games
Did you redub the word "gameplay" at 1:34 or am I finally going fully batshit crazy? Nice video by the way. I really enjoy your content.
or he just cut out alot of silence in the audio when he was thinking about what word to say.
I do want Black at 60 fps!
+parazels83 me too that would be awesome
+parazels83 Look at the Xbox version
+LordDragon47 I doubt it runs at 60 fps...
+LordDragon47 360 version
If I recall the Original Xbox version of Black did run at 60fps which wouldn't surprise me considering multiplats on the Xbox usually ran games at better/more stable framerates with better graphics due to the stronger hardware.
can't wait to play Spider-Man 2 on the ps4!!!
+iRoCk97 Yes !That game was so classic. Also wanna play Shadow of the Coloussus and the Syphon Filter games
+iRoCk97 Why are you trying to shove spider man down my throat?
+Hunterese omd yesss
yea you can
can we play gta sa and gta vc on ps4 now?
+Bas Bastiaansen lool, so you bought ps4 to play ps2 games =/
Herve Shango who said that? All I ask is if we can now play gta san andreas and gta vice city on ps4, I don't even have a ps4 buddy, I'm just fucking asking something.
+Bas Bastiaansen ill answer lol not yet.
THE- REAL-GAMER The-Infamous Thanks for actually answering, haha
+surfingsuicune so salty
Battlefront 1&2 with online support (probably hoping too much), Gran Turismo 3&4, Shadow of the Collossus(is that how you spell it?), Need for speed Underground 2, MGS 2&3, Black, etc.
Hoping to play this games when it comes out.
I'm playing Shadow of the Colossus now and its still amazing
+Yakubu 06 what's shadow of colossus?
Matrix9056 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_of_the_Colossus
I would be interested if you could also analyse the framerate of these PS2 games on PCSX2, just to see how it fares (especially since it can run real PS2 discs, so no pirating required).
Wow! The resolution looks a lot better that's cool.
This is actually quite a good video for showing the major differences between 30/60 fps.
I know this is an old video but could you run a check on Wild Arms 3 on PS2 and PS4.
That game is an interesting case as it uses field rendering meaning it only renders half the resolution for each screen update which often causes uglyness in form of resolution going down by half during any movement and screen shaking up and down whenever it drops frames, which happens on the end battle screen or when using a spell on more than 4 enemies at once.

x4 resolution=1280x448?
I...don't think that's accurate?
2560x2048 / 2 = 1280x1024 right?
Am I misunderstanding what you're saying?
Cuz I used PCSX2's resolution measurement and just halved what numbers it spat at me when I cranked Persona 4 to x4.
Maybe I'm out of the loop here but how are they playing PlayStation 2 games on the PS4? Is this a feature only a select few are getting access to right now?
Are PS2 games running in 1080p (internal resolution) ? If so, this is awesome, i also hope to use my original PS2 DVDs on PS4.
nah man digital
Meh, if so, I'm not interested.
+RedVGFox on the other hand, I will get to own ps2 games that i never had before
Yeah, I know that's the point, but still PS3 PSN had so many problems in getting the license for PS1/PS2 classics (expecially in Europe) that I'm not even hoping anymore to see the games I want to be there. :/
If this feaure works with physical disks, I will finally buy a ps4.
+Stewart Fisher Let's hope that's the case, however, it may require more hardware just so it can read the discs.
probably not
+Plague Doctor My blu-ray driver in my pc reads dvds and cds just fine, I don't see why they would need more hardware.
+Stewart Fisher No its already been confirmed that you need to buy them again, this isn't anything new its just a PS2 Classic like it was on PS3.
so your deciding factor was to play PS2 games on your PS4? fucking trolls arent even trying anymore
Do they know that the ps3 MGS hd collection runs mgs3 at 60fps?
It seems pretty obvious to me that this is not just simple emulation. This is probably more of a combination, as there is even some assets here and there like textures that have been replaced with higher resolution ones.
They probably both rewrote parts of the code and replaced assetts instead of making a full remaster/port to ps4.
Ahh, SW: Bounty Hunter., that brings back memories. Had the GameCube version, loved that game, even if it's not among the best SW games.
Oh my i used to love this game.
+AxelGaming There are three games, which are you refering to?
BOUNTY HUNTER
Same here, it was my first ps2 game.
I blew up a lot of those ships in Jedi Starfighter back in the day. That was cool to see that footage, nostalgic.
I wish to see Rogue Galaxy and Arc The Lad if can reach 60 fps...
@digitalfoundry. do you, guys have any idea why it's not a locked 60? I mean. just look at those graphics. they can be done on a cellphone today. is emulating so demanding?
+Guga ZD yes.

so can we just pop in any ps2 game right now and play. ?? or do we need to wait for an update or what's the deal . this was kept on the Down low to well
+Carlos Soto re-buy the game digitally
I'd like to see Shadow of the Colossus on PS4. It had many FPS-Drops on the PS2 :/
How do you drop below 60 on an emulation of a game from 2 console gens ago...
So I assume with this Emulator that we can use original PS2 discs as well as download from PS2.
Also, will it be region restricted?
Assume digital resales
So with this service you have to re purchase all your titles and they're only digital right?
Correct
I was LITERALLY JUST playing this game and had NO idea they were doing this...
Why we can't simply put any disc? Ridiculous!!
If you own a lot of ps2 disks, it would be nice to see perfected emulation on them, kind of like how the Xbox 360 was able to play original Xbox titles before, better yet, it wouldn't mind it if it downloaded the game and it's necessary files onto the hdd, for even faster load times
Shinobi, Onimusha, and all the fighting games for ps2 in 60fps?! Oh my.
day one purchase if timesplitters be part of the list
What about PS2 emulation on PS3? I would like to know how it perform and how accurate it is.
This is exactly what we need Emulator's of old classic games that are 20years old or so...Not that backward compatibly of last year game's.
I hope that is sarcasm...
I didn't see any of the drastic v-sync drops they talked about
one word pcsx2.
+subterraa Pcsx2 sucks so hard, it's impossible have a normal frame rate in the fucking emulator
V3PoPzZ get a better computer i have no problem atall lol
so i can play bf4 at ultra settings, but i can't use pcsx2,so?
+subterraa then try to run star wars battlefront with splitscreen on pcsx2.
at least you can skip every 2nd frame but it is still pretty much unplayable with an i5 + gtx970
but it aint ps4 tho
will i have to rebuy the ps2 games or can i pop the disk in on my ps4 and play?
assume rebuy
Still prefer playing on PCSX2 it gives us more options, graphically I mean. It’s free as well. Plus we have widescreen patches to make games and UI scale to 16:9 screen ratio.
i do want Urban Chaos at 60fps!
PCSX2 is a piece of software designed to emulate a PS2, the problem with this is the software is limited, after a certain point it doesn't matter how powerful your PC is, the software is just too limited due to either poor coding or optimization, like PC games Vs console games, it's easier for a team to emulate to one set of hardware, as apposed to a multitude of different combinations.
can´t wait to play GT4 and GT3 when this emu comes out
With such improvements - this is very exciting.
WARNING: Do not scroll down past this point. There are a ton of cancerous comments saying how the PS4 sucks just because it drops 3 frames on an EMULATOR.
Can you use old ps2 disc on ps4 with this new Update ?
probably not
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy pls, sony!
How did u emulate those games emulation features arent released yet
it's extra games that came out with the ps4 battlefront bundle
Here's my list of PS2 games on PS4:
Sly Cooper and The Thievious Raccoonus
Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Jak & Daxter
Jak 2
Jak 3
GTA 3
GTA Vice City
GTA San Andreas
GTA Vice City Stories
MGS2: Sons of Liberty
MGS3: Snake Eater
Neopets: The Darkest Faerie
The Simpsons: Hit and Run
Taz: Wanted
Crash Tag Team Racing
Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex
I-Ninja
PacMan World 2
Sonic Heros
Resident Evil Code Veronica X
Devil May Cry 1 & 3
Spider Man 1 and 2
Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly
Maximo
Primal
and Megaman X7 (jk, we don't talk about that)
If I didn't name a game, it's because I never had it.
Wait, when is this out again?
Framerates are not unlocked if Vsync is enabled... soooooo wtf why do you keep saying "unlocked". Also you say that V-Sync is disabled with Star Wars Racer Revenge and you say it has an unlocked framerate...well no "unlocked" means there is no framerate cap... so what you are saying about unlocked framerate for that game isn't actually true.
Although with proper phrasing next time you should say "capped at 60fps" seeing as you misuse the word unlocked quite a bit in this video.
I want prince of persia
Exactly, the Ps3 HD collection was a load of shit. The games can always be enjoyed on PC though.
yeah!
+Dark Soup I buy all 3 Games from the Sands of time Trilogy 2-3 weeks ago and Sands of time at 4k with over 200 fps are very nice. xD
+Dark Soup
i.ytimg.com/vi/v_KH0x6f5Ko/hqdefault.jpg
WTF did they do to his face...
+Lafontaine that games dope just like your chimera ant avatar ;)
What about the PS2 emulation on PS3? Is there a video about that? I would like to know how that works
it was on old ps3s and that's it
+wizofhell No, i have a super slim (the newest model) and it plays PS2 games from the store
I meant the ps2 discs. Older ps3s had backwards compatibility
wizofhell i know, the fat PS3 has the PS2 CPU but in later models they removed the PS2 CPU due to cost reasons
+bassblaster505 Gaming Yeah the bigger launch PS3 model was $599.99
I just want the Silent Hill games to become compatible. MGS already has a fantastic HD 60fps remaster while Silent Hill does not.
I think all of those games (except Racer Revenge) runs on Xbox in perfect 60 frames with higher resolution textures. So that remains the best versions.
Can you please compare 1333mhz vs 1866mhz vs 2400mhz vs 2800mhz vs 3000mhz ram gaming frame rates.thanks
How do you even get these games I can't find them in the playstation store?
+wizofhell I think you have to buy one of the special editions of star wars battlefront.
+wizofhell those games were from the battlefront ps4 bundle
+FIGHTMAN94 I meant the console
gaming 2015 watching lines run through bars and now we are bring the ps2 into it.
I would love for EA to port Battlefield 2 Modern Combat. So far that's the only Battlefield game I haven't played since it was only for consoles.
I don't get it, i can put my star wars game disc on the ps4 and it will run?
nope you have to buy the game again
PS4 Star Wars Bundle
+wizofhell no you dont
No, sadly Sony has confirmed the discs will have to go in the console, not on it.
Deep down we know that what we all want is Shadow Of The Colossus at 60 fps good god the eyegasm.
Nice Nice Very smooth Emulation performance, I hope Sony let's us Play PS3 discs on PS4 in the future.
WTF! Ps2 ran games at 60fps! 0_o
does anyone have any ideo of when this is coming out and if it will support discs not just psn games
assume rebuy
I wonder if you can play Star Wars Battlefront I and II
It's sad Sony never pursued this further on PS4 and it looks like they will move whatever they might be still working on have finished on to the PS5
Thx sony but don't even try, why The fuck would i use a ps4 instead of pcsx2?
Well don't use it then....
If you can't find reason yourself to use it why even bother making that comment lol?
do you even have ps4? i dont think so
+bbjdbsaj Pcsx2 is bullshit
+bbjdbsaj If you didn't have a PC or had one that could run PCSX2 well.
+V3PoPzZ I highly suggest that if there were no pcx2 etc there would be no emulation for ps4 now.
So just think before posting utterly crap.
I'd love to see Primal running on PS4 to finally clarify this is not a PCSX2 rip-off. And also because it's a masterpiece.
For some reason I find 1080p on games outdated from 15 years ago looking worse than the blurry old ones, you see lack of detail a lot more clearly when old games run in 1080p. It looks like it was sloppily made rather than out-dated all of a sudden.
+Regular Original Mainly because PS2 games were made with 480i/480p in mind with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
+Regular Original oh someone who think like me, i don't get why people always want 4k resolution and stuff, i don't see much improvment either 1080p/720p is fine and old games i always play with their original resolution cause they look bad if you increase. as a example i play the sims 2 in 800x600 cause if you increase the resolution the loadings screens get glitched.
witchhunt301 Yeah I know, which makes it look worse? right? Or is it just me and Johnny Deep who thinks that? Haha.
Remember the time when graphics and resolution weren't a big thing back in those days?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
PCX2>ps4>ps2 not to mention is free and it renders games beyond any resolution the psr can handle
but it aint a ps4 that plays arkham knight properly
wizofhell hahaha really? du think?? cause It runs fine on my PC oh and not to mention that I only paid $14 for it on G2A and $8 for the season pass... how much did you pay for your version $110+ tax??? and you know what's funny? that even though its a lazy port the game looks and runs better (NOV 24/15) than your 900p 30fps...
+wizofhell The game runs like shit, but is not broken anymore, its an old story. Now its playable, and it still get more frame rate than the ps4
Kingdom hearts, Volcano Island, and Spongebob here i come
looks good but is it real 1080p or just upscaled from ps2
+hussar16 It's upscaled to 1080p. Most PS2 games ran at 480i (unless they supported progressive scan AKA 480p) There was the occasional game that ran at 1080i like Gran Turismo 4 but it was pretty rare.
+witchhunt301
GT4 did not run on native 1080i. It was just upscalled.
This is getting ridiculous now ...
why does everybody feel the need to talk crap about the xb1 and ps4.
xbox one backwards compatibility does not boost the graphic and frame rate for the old games.
Wowo - amazing, it upscaled it to ps3 standards almost, give or take.
That's what we need for PS4. Who cares about new games ? Let's play the old ones at 60fps !!
I understand the want for BC, but not the need. It's a great extra feature to have but it won't decide what console I buy. Cause if u are buying a new next gen console to play old generic games, then why even bother getting a new generation console. Save your money, use it for something else and play all your favorite games.
It would be so good if ps now wouldn't require a subscription, but you could use your old ps3 disks.
This is awesome, I wish racer revenge was available for purchase for everyone!
but is it free?
But can you afford it?
+Fernando Ramirez emulator on PS4 is free, games are obviously not.
44 fps for ps4 on game 10 years or more old KILL ME
The fact that it even drops a single frame is absurd
Stupid question I suppose. I don't have a ps4 yet, but does it run ps1 games? I was a huge fan of the alien resurrection game for ps1!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Vintage Yu-gi-oh No it doesn't so far. Maybe Sony will start working on that after launching officially the PS2 emulator.
+Vintage Yu-gi-oh No, at least for now. I can only assume they eventually bring PS1 emulation later on. Just don't expect ps3 emulation or any sort of backwards compatibility.
Waiting for NFS PS2 games to play on PS4 :D
Midnight Club 3 dub edition remix and killzone FTW! ps2 was the best!
Childhood :,) ps2 = best console ever and i'm an Xbox fan right now
there's gotta be an upgrade this are ps2 titles if you can't run them well on a ps4 then you have issues
can you just download the games or can you just Put in some Old PS2 games
rebuy the game
There were games that ran on 60fps on PS2? o.O
O shit, i fall. Do you guys imagine playing originals battlefront in 1080p and 60 fps !
