The Xo1 seems like a good start for a narly drift build while the Limitless is alot more planted and handles better.

You made me buy a limitless Jay . Not many around in Australia. Just had to have it.
in my opinion Arrma is killing it with the onroad cars especially the limitless, infraction and felony which i own all 3. The build quality is by far top notch. My buddy has the X-01 and awhile it is fast the quality is low end imo. Its built cheap for its very high price tag.
The issue with Traxxas is they have no innovation and they constantly use brushed motors on their stuff and inflate the price tag. Traxxas could be a good brand if they up the quality and stop using brushed motors. This is 2022 there is no need for brushed anything unless your crawling
There's a price tag for everything. Arrma offers a whole lineup of brushed cars and trucks including a brushed infraction as well. It's nice to have options and not everyone can handle a brushless setup right away
The X-01 is a super old platform though, I’ll be interested to see how they modernize it. Much like the sledge I think they could add a few details that push the hobby because you already know arrma is gonna try to use the advantages of a sledge and put their spin on it. so I think traxxas will do the same with the X-01 vs the limitless, it’s like a game of leapfrog

No innovation hate to break it to you bud but the arrma cars wouldn’t be around if traxxas didn’t innovate the hobby back in the 80’s how long has arrma been around? 13 years maybe traxxas has been around since 1987 so when you say they didn’t innovate your basically saying I’m a arrma fan boy and I don’t know what I’m talking about. Most companies have brushed rc’s and traxxas is far from low quality. Let’s not talk about how long it took arrma to get there 6s line on track how many versions of cars do they have 6-7 not sure what v number they are on with most models. I own just about every brand there all really nice cars it’s the owners that are the issue.

I’m fresh into my limitless build and I noticed your running the power hobby grippers I purchased the m2c hubs and haven’t tried them on yet lol I’m wondering if that’s what you used to mount those grippers and what you think of the tires as I’m going to test and tune for the first time soon I hope
They both piping....but limitless is tight....just got my receive in, but this storm got me on high grounds.....I will run the stock before doing any upgrades, I did put sunpass fans in them....thinking of doing a drone tracking to see BVOS...for a limitless mile run.

I totally agree. I know a guy that's got an X01 and he can barely control it.
That's with a gyro on the x01 and a zero downforce front and rear wing setup on the LL. That's some fancy aluminum on the back there. Not cheap.
And also do 110mph
Cool video of both on roads, I have an older XO-1 like yours but mine has a custom painted body and Hobbywing esc and motor but i plan to do a Castle 8s system someday but as it is it's scary fast. And i plan to either do a Limitless V2 or an Infraction V2 6s and maybe swap in the same Castle 8s system as my XO-1. But currently i'm saving up for a Losi 5T 2.0 so it might be awhile before i can do anything big.
That’s what keeps it down at higher speeds than 50 I’ve done 85 so far without any mods hasn’t wanted to take off and the sway bars are only meant for lower speeds according to the Traxxas instructions that come with the sway bar kit

Cool video of both cars, I love the XO-1 and i was thinking about getting an Infraction v2 or maybe the new Limitless V2 i'm currently i plan to put in a Castle Mamba Monster X 8s esc with 1717 1,650KV motor not the stock XO-1 motor the sensored version in both my XO-1 and maybe my new Arrma. I wonder if you have that Castle system i mentioned in your Limitless i might do the same for mine.

Nice comparison… only parts that I added on my XO1 is GPM steering assembly, sway bar links, and erevo 2.0 red shock springs… straight as an arrow… great vid

When were the XO-1 upgrades supposed to happen? I just got mine a few months ago (2023) and was wondering if it has them. Im mostly an off road fun guy that just wanted something fast for the road.
I want a speed project. If you could only get one, which would it be and why. I like both cars but torn on which one to choose. Thanks for the great videos!
Get the limitless. It handled way better at speeds and more aerodynamic. Plus you can put your own electronics in it.
It's no contest limitless and it's cheap.
i just got a 45tooth pinion n i put a water kooled esc 150amp in it there bis a gyro inside but i disconnected it n run servo straight to receiver n radio is dumbo rc 6ch i cut 2 arches off rear bumper/body for air to escape from under body to help keep it on the ground its been raining and ccccccold so here soon ill have some runs to show thanks for video which one wins in drag race 132feet??

Bro please do an alignment on those tires please. The limitless comes out of whack with the camber on the tires. I run the same tire setup and I get way more traction with the rears flat.
What do you think about the Riaario AK 917 Porsche??? I'm impressed love it I won't tell you what I am running in it but hands down I will take care of the XO-1 or the limitless
Limitless v2 will smoke you out the box car for car. Mods is a different story

This may be a stupid question but you don't have to run spectrum batteries with the firma 8s system right? Bc there pretty expensive if I can get away with cheaper batteries i will... you feel me im not made of cheddar biscuits...

I’ve got both, speed runs the limitless seems more stable out of the box. I’ve had less issues with the limitless, X01 has not been as robust for me at least. I’m sure with mods and tweaks both can do some crazy stuff. I’m not getting into anything crazy like 150MPH, low 100s so far. To mix it up theirs also the HoBao slider chassis which seems really well built, not sure how it runs? A few of the local speed runners around SE Mi seem to like it…

Checked out the HoBao slider at my local hobby store (Larrys Performance RC), it seems well made, good components, driveline felt smooth.

Not really since this limitless is not stock not by a longshot and the second generation xo-1 has the handling sorted out but since this is only out of the boy it's not properly set up...
I'd fix the camber on the arrma for more grip and stable tire wear + looks better

I just picked up a Limitless used with the Spektrum 1250 setup. What were the problems with that system? Was hoping to get some track race time out of it.
I think if you're going to run that system put the center differential weigh with a 46 tooth spur gear and then do between a 23 or 28 to pinion gear

I got the infraction, it's awesome but I just can't help but want the limitless. The look and options seem almost endless. Seeing half a dozen or more racing on a track. 1/7 formula One style. Whomever can get that to happen Now we have an array of 1/7 scale options is a huge opportunity for some spectacular racing.

i rather better use a normal 540 / 550 motor size with NIMH as nickel metal hydride battery (NiMH or Ni-MH) on the car...
dont need a brushless motor and lipo battery
