    Wow! Gratuitous Bassline! methinks Jah Jeff was inspired by Steve Swann for this one That is a MAN'S Bassline if ever i heard one! No girly girls with their correct posture and fingering can write a Bassline like THAT! ....... I always liked Jeffery. He played Keyboards in the band 'Bushfire', a great 80's and early 90's Roots Rock Reggae band. i bought their demo tape at a gig in 1990, i was 16 years old. When i moved to Saaaaafend-On-Sea in year 2000 i met Jeff when he came to Malcolm Goldmaster's house to buy weedWhen Jeff left i said i was surprised to see him in Malcolm's Kitchen as Malcolm had previously badmouthed Jeff a lot to me, Malcolm Diss is extremely competitive and anyone that does Reggae within Saaaaaaafend-On-Sea is someone to be beaten and defeated and taken down or if possible taken out in Malcolm's mind ..... "yeah, but i'm ripping him off" Malcolm responded, as if that was somehow a justification for his hypocrisy in assassinating Jeff behind his back to me yet being civil and selling him weed to his face....... #2faced....... in 2006 i moved back to Saaaaaafend and started to grow the sacred plant myself, NOT taught by Malcolm as he has claimed, he just gave me a good cutting of 'Big Bud'...... Subcool taught me, all of Malcolm's advise was incorrect, Malcolm will always bluff as his first instinct, if he doesn't know something he would rather bluff something, whatever he can think of in the instant, rather than simply say "i don't know" or "that exceeds my knowledge or experience"....... I started supplying Jeff and i had bought from Jeff over the years, he used to bring me bits of herb when i was stuck in Chelmsford, i swapped a broken ART Multieffects unit (Broken by Dave Arrowsmith!) for a quarter ounce of weed to Jeff! ..... Jah Jeff looked inside and reconnected the cable and then he used the 'Inverse Flanger' and a bunch of effects i designed on it on all of his Dub mixes! you can hear the intense flanger all over it ..... Jeff was one of the few people that could come to my Flat in Saaaaaafend...... He would often download his family stresses to me over many cups of tea and joints of fine herb...... Jeff told me he was trying to digitize and clean up some old recordings of his music including Bushfire..... Jah Jeff lamented that he had lost his Bushfire demo tape and nobody had a copy, he really missed that cassette ..... "I've got that tape" i said and i dug it out and gave it to him, "keep it" i said....... Jeff digitized the Bushfire Cassette and burned CDs so in the end i was better off with a CD as i no longer even owned a Cassette deck......i was happy to be able to help Jeff and connect him with a copy of his music ..... sometimes doing the right thing and going above and beyond for other people pays off Jeff made me a really nice CD of the cassette with a color printed cover...... That CD Jeff made for of the Bushfire Cassette was STOLEN by Ben 'Earthworks' King when he refused to return a huge CD wallet of mine that i had stored with Ben in 2012 when i became suddenly homeless...... in that CD wallet was my only copy of old band rehearsals and a lot of sentimental and important stuff i can never get again, my copy of the very first Breadwinners CD that i sent AL cash in the post for and i bought 4 copies so i could give 3 away AND i put an extra £5 in the envelope because i thought £5 per CD was too cheap and i was such a supporter of Al Breadwinner when he first started putting videos on UA-cam back around 2010...... i GAVE Ben King AND 'Jah Rej' each a copy of that first Breadwinners CD that i bought with my own money before either of them had ever heard of Al Breadwinner and when he was doing...... it was ME who badgered Al to MAKE that first Breadwinners CD , i kept saying "you need to have some kind of physical product you can put in people's hand and then things will take off FAST for you......" and then 2 weeks later Al had his CD ready....... I'm a GOOD MAN and liars and haters feel SHAME because of that, it threatens their EGO and obsession with #DominanceHierarchy ...... "I'm not boasting or showing off, i am just playing MY part which is history..."

    Is it techno because it's digital? Theres alot of steppers in reggae . Please explain

    • @DVDFRMN
      @DVDFRMN 3 місяці тому

      'steppers' IS techno. it's techno dominated by ever present 4/4 kick drum. the piano/guitar skank is just style and flavouring, not a part of the Rhythm like in actual Reggae

    • @bruddarootsofficial
      @bruddarootsofficial 3 місяці тому

      @@DVDFRMN techno relies on synthesizers and sequencers more mechanical sounds, this has piano guitar horns although digital still melodical and roots. Lyrics are a significant part of the music. I would highly doubt I’d hear any Rastafari steppers ina techno club

      @DVDFRMN 3 місяці тому

      @@bruddarootsofficial fair enough, you are correct. but Steppers is not really Reggae, but all steppers relies on sequencers, that is why it sounds that way, because guys wee using PC based studios without musicians and mics and space to record drums so they do what they can and that is steppers.... it's NOT "roots", roots means AFRICAN, black roots, and this music is made by a white Italian Man, and his machines...

      @@DVDFRMN nice jab.. Italian white man… Steppers is indeed reggae, its specific rhythmic style and production technique represent an evolution within the genre, showcasing the versatility and adaptability of reggae music. Rastafari reminds us of the importance of unity, regardless of race, ethnicity, or creed so nice try Roots!
