Yes! Just to talk, don't be so formal. Just chat with God. That changed my whole relationship with Him perspective.

I watch Paul regularly, he helps me to understand what I've been reading- the Bible can be a difficult book. The pastor shines light onto what I can barely see. In this video I particularly liked the end where he talks about real prayer versus saying prayers. My mother is a great prayer of this prayer and that. She may also truly pray, I hope she does because surely that is what God wants from us. "A cry from our hearts". Great teaching.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is July 24, 2022. Today is The 7th Sunday after Pentecost. This passage from St. Luke was our Gospel of the Day. And on this day, let us pray for people who work with their hands and also for the hungry.

I am now struggling with prayer and weird thoughts, its constant, now suddenly after my long walk with the Lord. I am praying and praying and I ask the Lord to help me pray, but I get nowhere. I then open the Bible and it falls open at Luke 11:9-13 and I knew from experience I will listen to Ps Pauls teaching on this. Pray untill you pray.......

In Matthew 6:7 Jesus said, “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling(F) like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.” Prayer does not need to be long and it is NOT hard work.

Super appreciate your messages each week. I'm currently going through your Luke series.
Had a question: at the 11:45 mark you state that " your will be done" is the most powerful thing we can pray, but it's not in the text. Am I missing something?

It's not part of Luke 11 but it is modeled for us in Luke 22:42.

I am reflecting on the Lord's prayer and kind of confused with asking God to lead us not to temptation. Does God do that ? I thought that was Satan doing. Your clarification please.
