- I love my Leica Q2. I've been searching for the perfect thumb grip but I haven't been able to find one. I decided to go with the Original Leica Brand. This is what I think.

The Leica thumb grip is excellent! There's actually a separate slot for storing the hot shoe cover in the box that the thumb grip came in. Devil is in the details ;)

Good video and spot on. I bought a 3rd party thumb grip, didnt sit right at all, was too short, so balance of the camera was off. Bought the Leica one and its perfect, improves the q2 ergonomics massively for me.
It's a must have to get the Leica one. At least for this accessory

If you ever get a half-case, you gotta check out Arte di Mano out of Korea. The handmade quality is 🔥. Not cheap but insanely well made.

I tried the Leica thumb support, Match Technical Thumbs Up, and the JJC on my Q2M. I ended up with the JJC, it weights 5 grams and works just as well for $30.
BTW, the Thumbs Up is the worst of the three. It's far heavier than it needs to be at 28 grams. The bent extension protrudes too far and if you're carrying the camera on a strap it going to dig into your body. The black paint also wears very quickly.

I know it's been a long time since you posted this video, but you bought a counterfeit Leica support, where did you get it from, make sure you do not buy from them again. sorry to see people getting scammed. if you look at the font close enough you can tell how different it is from the genuine leica counterpart
I got mine from alixpress for 70€. Exactly same model with original packaging (made in Portugal). On the foam inside you have the slot to store the hotshoe cover.

It's just the zoom button. It sits on top and covers the one on the camera
You got me excited that Leica put them back in stock! After playing around with it more, how is shooting with the thumb grip?

As a company, I would be ashamed to charge 250 for that. It shows the nature of their heart.
It's really expensive for just the thumbgrip. I'd be happy to Pay 80-100 because of the brand. But 250 is a lot
