Tip I learned from professional photographers: When you're in a climate such as this and using camera equipment, set your camera bag out on the verandah several hours before you'll need to use it to let it acclimate to the new temperature/humidity. We leave our binoculars out on the verandah for the entire trip because of this.

Quest. I have a solution to the camera fogging up. If you put it in a ziplock bag before you leave your room then let it warm up before you open the bag then the more humid air will not fog up the camera when you open the bag.

Thank you for being honest, like about the new island not being ready. I watch another UA-cam dual and they gloss over things like massive fly problem & the unready island & act like it’s just perfect, I prefer the honesty.

Thanks for all this info! We go to Lookout Cay in October on the Fantasy for a Halloween on the High Seas cruise. By then I am sure Disney will have all the little things finished and everything running smoothly (including the fly situation). We are definitely going to have to go see the cliffs so thank you for showing how to climb up. I have really appreciated this whole series! Thanks again!!

Had to cancel a cruise we had planned for this Summer (never fear I've got a couple booked in 2025), this series is making me so happy. Thank you for all you do, it's much appreciated.
You showed coming in on the back end of that area and end up on the path by the lighthouse whereas when Tim tracker showed the view when he was on the walking path I wondered where people came in at that was already there. Someone on his video actually stepped over the rope from the walking path to go walk out there.

Still not vibing with Lookout Cay…but if they keep adding those Disney touches you mentioned I can see it improving. Also…maybe they need screened dining areas. As an Australian I know how bad flies can be…and that is a dealbreaker for me so far.

I understand a lot of vloggers have been annoyed/disappointed with Lookout Cay. Even I was, but then I read about it and Disney did that on purpose. They wanted to be as environmentally safe as possible. Quote “Current design plans call for developing less than 16% of the site”
So they really did this for not only the locals, but wildlife. I can respect it.
Oh 100% we respect it. It’s not what we expected overall but Koda and I learned to love it in a way!
Low environmental impact and jobs created for locals! I'll take that any day. All I need is a nice beach

Disney’s new private area has potential. It lacks that quaint feel of castaway and has little character right now. I estimate that it will take a good 5-8 years for them to properly develop the area.

I think the biggest thing they need is shade. Especially since the foliage isn’t grown in yet.

I understand pre paying the gratuities but what happens if you don’t go to the rotational restaurants and just go to the buffet?
The gratuities still come out. Sadly the buffet is not open for dinner

It wasn't even that embarrassing, really. But Adrian took to it like it was a QUEST handed from Gandalf.
I simply feel that DCL is overpriced. I’m a platinum CC member and always struggled with the cost. It has gotten worse. It feels like the parks these days. The value just doesn’t match the cost. I do think DCL offers a better guest experience for the money over the parks. Their service is above and beyond. Props to the amazing cast members. It makes you feel that old school “Disney Difference.” We just don’t get that at the resorts these days.
The prices are definitely going up but we love the cruises and think it’s worth it for the Disney difference that is so hard to find

This new island looks kind of disappointing, when you look at what royal did, it’s crazy that they couldn’t have done more 😂
Disney definitely could have done more!
Unfortunately, DCL was restricted on alot of their build when they purchased the acres. The Bahamian government restricted and required a lot from DCL in order to buy. Hopefully as the years go by things will improve!

Yes, let’s take the most beautiful area of Eleuthera and Disneyfie it more! What is wrong with you? Can you not simply enjoy the beauty of Eleuthera? It breaks my heart to see hundreds of people destroying Lighthouse Point, polluting the water with your non reef safe sunscreen and leaving your trash. If you want a theme park experience go to Orlando but please don’t bring it to our island.
Honestly, I don’t want giant water slides to be overtaking most of the island. Royal feels like a water park resort in the Bahamas - not all of us wants that

We got back and Rush Out Gush Out was broken. Totally disappointed and made me honestly never want to do anything Disney again. I paid too much money for that. The drink machines on the Magic were all down but 2. I’m so disappointed. Definitely not the Disney experience I was expecting for what I paid.
Please stay on the path. Not only for your own safety but the environments. When more and more people stray off the designated path, the strayed off paths get wider and wider and the plant life gets trampled.
The southern tip of Eleuthera has and still is completely public land and you are able to travel wherever you desire at your own risk. Prior to Disney even starting construction people could walk the same paths we did and climbed the rocks (hence the foot holes in the rocks leading up) to this day the general public (non Disney guests) are allowed on the property and can walk these same paths. There are signs that say “swim at your own risk” once you stray away from the common areas. Those sand paths have been there long before Disney came in. We showed it off as a hidden gem and we expect many others to explore on their own and do the same. We just make sure to advise that you’re on your own out there and to proceed with caution if you do decide to go that route.
@@ThemeParkExpressI just think that as people explore more Disney will restrict more…especially when someone jumps off (or falls off ) those rocks.
Eventually Disney will ensure that guests can’t do exploring like you did.
@@suziequeue2i agree with what Adrian said about those paths being there way before Disney came in and they can’t control where people go outside the Disney lines on the island but yeah, it’s going to take someone falling 1 good time and trying to sue Disney for something they did that wasn’t on Disney part of the island and will end up ruining it for everyone else to go and explore.
