I used you video and advice to replace mine in my 1980 CJ 7. I had zero experience in repairing this. 100% your video for directions. Thanks to your video I have a perfect repair. And the steering is unbelievable! Thank you so much! I think you literally saved my life. My Jeep had a full half turn in the wheel. Not anymore! Now I can enjoy driving my girl.
Hey this is cool, maybe the shaft is made for just a little bit older model since it fit my 79 cj5 perfect. Thank you for this video it helped me a lot

Wow, you made my day! Thank you for the comment.
My comment is a little dated, but this is an excellent video. Very helpful.
Thanks Jim! It seems that every Jeep CJ I own needs this shaft replaced.

Where’s the kit from
Where did you get the part ?

Hi, it seems your steering wheel is upside down. How did you sort that out? Thanks for your video 👌
It looks that way, but the wheels were not straight. It is difficult to mess that up because the shaft only goes on one way.
What year is your CJ7?
This one is a 1981 CJ5.
