The slavication begann 10 years ago. In Frankfurt is a lil slav community

To bring a bit seriousness into this; germans, especially in the eastern parts, have big slavic ethnical influences since hundreds of years.
The prussians, which were the biggest part of the german popluation (more than half of the total german population after ww2) are a mixture between germanic, baltic and slavic people. And after the war they went over all of germany because of the lost eastern parts, so they had to search for a new home.
People with prussian ancestry now live everywhere in germany.
And not only that but we have millions of slavic immigrants in germany. And most of them adapt well.
My ex-girlfriend was polish and while the relationship didn't work out in the end we are still friends and she and her family are great people.
Not to mention that southern and parts of the western germans also have big celtic and a few latin influences.
So overall the term "german" is something about identity and culture and not so much about ethnicity. Even if the majority of germans still is of germanic heritage though.
