I'm willing to cut these guys bit of a break on the rules gaffs. I used to get knotted up about getting every rule of the game right, spending 10s of minutes buried in the rules every time a situation wasn't 100% clear or fresh in my memory. It almost ruined the game for me. I really started enjoying FoW once I chilled and decided to make a best effort and not sweat a few mistakes. While I think Battlefront has a higher bar to get the rules right, I absolutely agree with the sentiment expressed in their responses. Get familiar enough with the rules to get started, have fun playing and painting, and don't worry about getting it all correct. You can leave arguing over the minutia of rules to tournament situations.
Adding my voice to the appreciation of the improved format! Much easier to tell what is happening turn by turn, and seeing the flow of decision making and gameplay is both more engaging/enjoyable and more helpful to newer players. I’m not bothered by rules mistakes personally, we all make them sometimes. Adds realism to the report imho 😆
Guys, love your videos but could you please get the rules correct. With artillery bombardments you roll for hits by team, you cannot prioritise hits to bazooka teams and there is no mistaken target rolls.
We do apologise for the occasional gaffs. The guys aren't pro players, but they do really enjoy playing the game, and hope that comes through. They're improving every game, and hope it reflects the journey a lot of our players go through.
The to-hit roll for artillery bombardment should be lower. There is no concealment or gone to ground penalties against arty, just the +1 for ranging in on the 2nd attempt
Great presentation and production levels. Great terrain and of course good paint jobs. Lots of rules mistakes as mentioned below, but still enjoyable to watch.
These guys don’t know the rules (which is sad for a manufacturer produced battle report. - Can’t use mistaken target in a bombardment - Roll to hit team under the template, not assign hits to the teams you choose
The game is made to be played and have fun. The rules must be followed under tournament conditions, but we're happy to play it any way they wish outside of that. This was just content to demonstrate the new models, and the guys had fun with it, which is what matters.
Why did the Pershing have to roll a last stand? I thought platoons only roll last stand if they are below 50%. It was a 2 tank platoon...wasn't the last one still in good shape
There is no 50%-Rule in V4 anymore. Tank units are in good spirits if they have suffered no loses or bailed out teams or have at least 2 active teams in command.
Why hummels make ranging on 3+ in second attemp in 02:30? they are veteran so they go on base 3+ and +1 for terrain they must be go on 4+... artillery does not allow to do mistaken target armoured car destroyed does not remain as wrecks my OMG what the hell is this?
Really sad to see the amount of rule mistakes... maybe get some games with Phil in before you do the next one. Or run the material through some quality control with one of the writers. You compromise your hard work with this. If you want to change stuff for private games fine but in an offical role you should strive to play the rules as written.
We do wish we had time for more games with Phil, he's a great tutor, alas his time is taken doing his job, if we took all of it, he wouldn't have time to write the books! We have a couple of games coming up that might appeal more to the experienced gamer...

I was hoping for some sound effects. I would be brumbrumming the tanks and boombooming the howitzers 😊
great video, grettings from OMAHA WARGAMES.
Top game report! You have implemented the suggestions for improvement from the previous reports excellently. I really enjoyed the video.

And the Americans are now encircled in Belgium
Great report. Thanks guys.
Cheers, it was a lot of fun to film! Ryan is determined to win one day :)

I really enjoyed this bar rep. Great work.
The guys really enjoyed filming it too!
Loved the game, though it seemed a little one sided to me.

I believe its 50% or one unit remaining
