@@JEAANOOexactly. When I realized the depression i was going through was environmental and genetic, I realized that my reality wasnt exactly real. I inherited my dads depression which made me feel low randomly but that didnt mean I was actually in a bad place. I have everything I need. Im not where I want to be (which, can get frustrating and be considered the environmental reason, which can be changed for the better), but im not where i used to be and things can get better if i just keep going and changing myself

What I say to people (you know, the ones that are really deep into a dark place and are absolutely convinced there's no point in going on) is: Okay, if you really do want to off yourself, just remember that there will never be a point where you would find yourself saying "Damn it, I waited too long and now it's too late!" So it's always safe to just put it off another day and give yourself the time to be certain of what you want to do.

16:25 I used to cut my wrist and sometimes would stop eating for a few days. It was really a tough struggle for me since I have no one to reach out to. I attemped to unalive myself once, but thank God it failed.
But I've stopped cutting (it's almost 4 years now). And I have to say that your kind words makes me want to cry since nobody ever said that to me, so thank you so much Hollow. You're the best man ❤😊

This is a travesty riding on brand recognition. Many indie horror games Hollow played are miles ahead of anything that Bloobers could put out. They are hacks of the industry, apart from visuals their games are stupid, predictable and shallow. If you're interested in true Silent Hill successor look no further than Lost in Vivo.

We all need to support one another on Hollow's channel. As a single parent (my daughter is my world, my inspiration, my everything) and survivor of DV, life certainly has dealt some really tough blows. As time goes on though, new memories can be made and shared. Doesn't mean you forget the ones that hurt you, just makes them less painful as time goes on. Hugs to anyone who may be needing one. As someone who’s been very lonely in the past, and been in situations where I felt like I’d never be able to escape, what Hollow said is 100% true. It ALWAYS gets better. As someone who experiences depression and anxiety, I truly loved watching the journey. I shed a few tears!! I really needed to see this. It is so TRUE that there is someone out there who cares for you. There are so many people who have come up to me at my lowest to give me words of encouragement; People I didn't even know. Someone is always watching...And time truly HEALS!!! Today can be your worst day, but tomorrow can make it all better. I live life day-by-day and try not to focus on the future. If I can continue putting one foot in front of the other...right now...I know that I'll end up somewhere far away from the pain and struggles I'm currently going through. Thank you so much for being so transparent Hollow and for letting your followers know that someone out there cares and to take life one day at a time to experience something greater on the other side. :)

Going through a rough time lately, this story hit me pretty hard and Silent Hill always seems to come along when I need it most! I feel so bad for kids going through these types of things, it's hard enough as an adult, can't even imagine being young and inexperienced in life having to deal! This is quite an unexpected video. I've said those words many times to some of my friends when they're in tough times, since I've passed through those "phase" also (survived unexpectedly). But no one said those word to me, maybe because I thought I didn't need those words. Little did I knew that I have been living "happily" and "cheerfully" with these masks while hanging on a couple of threads.

He however took his own life about a year ago! Since then, I never say or believe in this. I say that we all are survivors with a bit of fate - good or luck.
The scars remain, the sequels remain. It will never go away, you just forget about it. But it comes back, you won't see it. But it will, once again, hurt something - you or others. It never got better.

Thanks man for what you said about the self harm thing I'll admit I did go thru that. August of this past summer I started cutting my wrists because the anxiety, depression an PTSD were just so overwhelming an I thought welp I'd rather pain instead of Fear 24/7... My therapist Kim seen the cuts an she was like nope you need to be watched. So she admitted me to the psych ward in McKessport, just below Pittsburg... man I'll tell you what my Psychitrist an Therapist probably saved my life that day. Also what helped is I stopped drinking a ton of alcohol every night to help me cope. Today was another hard anxiety filled day but i just kept pushing myself I said no I'm not gonna be scared anymore!!!! An did all of the stress relief tricks an calmed myself down... I swear dude it's feels like I have something evil inside me that just loves to fuck with my mental stability. It's still an ongoing process to find out what meds an stuff work for me.. to anyone suffering like I do everyday keep pushing forward!!! It's all we can do! Love y'all! Be safe, stay safe!

Hey man just wanna say I’m proud of you, I don’t know you but from your brief story I’m proud of you for stopping the alcohol knowing it was only a coping mechanism, it takes a very strong person to be in your situation and to overcome it, you’re doing great bud, keep staying strong keep seeking the right help and you’ll get there eventually, one day you’ll sit there and look back and think wow that was a rollercoaster of an episode but I’m glad it’s over, it all builds character. I can’t believe how hard this hit me, I had to stop the video to let it out. What a beautiful message and story, the developers and writers and everyone who was involved in making this game should be really proud of themselves.
Man hollow spoke to me when he was talking about how life is hard. Ima about to homeless on the 12th due to past due dates in monthly rent and it’s been very hard but that’s why I watch his videos he makes me forget about the bad things and can inspire not just me but many others. Keep being you hollow and always inspire others!

Nothing to do with the “Norman Reedus one” ( as that wasn’t actually released ) but has everything to do with silent hil 1 & 2 and the rest of the franchise. Harry & James are both engulfed by the Silent Hill phenomenon due to their past trauma and self guilt & hate.
Those are entirely the same reason that Anita finds herself being affected by the phenomena, she has or at least considered self harm, she blames her self for multiple deaths and seeks companionship while feeling completely deserted by everyone around her.
I love the idea Konami (the Silent Hill writing team) has leaned into, of Silent Hill being a spiritual realm rather than a physical place.

the overall message is amazing. But the whole part about not forcing yourself to fit into groups to be liked or appreciated..I wholeheartedly agree with that. Even though the message at the end was to force yourself to fit into groups. This is fine as long as your aren't forcing yourself into groups just to be liked. Don't think or believe how the group believes just to fit in. Have your own ideas and thoughts. Think for yourself. "Well, my group thinks this or that is bad" - think for yourself, is what the group thinks about this or that ACTUALLY bad? Probably not.

The chase scene at 55 minutes is what made me turn this shit off. I love Silent Hill but I passionately hate games where you have to run from enemies. I've died over 10 times here & don't know which direction to run it.
They made no sense too. At random times it shows up and you run through a confusing maze

As someone who has obsessed over silent hill lore for over 20 years I have to clarify that (at least if this game follows the logic of the original team silent games) there is no other dimensions. Silent hill is affected by ancient native American spiritual land. This energy has the miraculous ability to project dreams onto reality. When Alyssa and Charyl lived in silent hill(one and the same) a despicable cult that used pseudo abrahamic religious philosophy tried using Cheryl to birth Satan. This ritual failed and severely hurt Alyssa so in her dreams she had repressed anger and mixed with the symbology of the cult the monsters and imagery of the dream bleeding out onto reality all resulted because of her and her intense emotions. There were dinosaurs moths and butterflys dogs and tortured children these all are from her dreams she used to collect bugs she was into history and she was abused from a young age and her dog had died. If we extrapolate this on a macro scale to all silent hill games each character has a distinct and strong emotional crisis. Their nightmares from their trauma bleed out onto reality. I repeat their NIGHTMARES bleed out ONTO REALITY. it's all in the real world but the spiritual energy warps reality to mimic their emotions. There is no OTHERWORLD and eachtime the dreams start to effect reality is when they have emotional spikes. They dont swap dimensions it all takes place in the same space. Which is why laura can be right next to james as he battles the hospital boss why angela and james can see similar projections in the same room due to james' empathy. Claudia didnt use powers to "change the world" its just that everytime heather interacted with claudia her emotions spiked and on top of the fact heather was pregnant by that point with satan claudia was purposely influencing her negatively to feed into the devil with heathers negative emotions which seem to power up the embryo its why claudia killed harry which supercharged the energy and this is why dreams bled onto reality after every interaction heather had with claudia. This also applies to 4 but in a distinct way walt uses a special ritual to pull people into his dream to complete what is called the 21 sacraments which is a ritual that kills people but saves their dreams and souls. Even in 4 it's not an alternate dimension but in fact all taking place INSIDE Walters dreams. If this game follows the same logic which it does seem to be anita is in fact in the real world but her strong suicidal emotions have her nightmares bleeding onto reality.
Ps. The 2006 movie completey botched the games story. There are no witches alyssa is not the devil and she doesnt have special powers that allow her to kill an entire room full of people. There is no coal mines and the fog is a natural component of silent hill but does have metaphorical value because each character that visits silent hill is confused and unsure of ho w to feel about their trauma.
Pss. Its also revealing each person has a different theme for their dreams. Alyssa has a boody rusty world james has a moldy and water logged world angela has an organic and burning world eddie has blood and bodies with prison bars everywhere and walter has his victims walk the landscape and vaginal and umbilical chord imagery everywhere. If it was snother dimension that would mean everyone has their own dimension which doesnt make to much sense but if its their dream it is a lot easier to understand. Harry even comments about it being a nightmare bleeding into reality and its all influenced by emotional spikes.
1:20:58 this seems to suggest that if they make sequels this spiritual energy from silent hill is not localized to silent hill but maybe even spreads from silent hill. Is silent hill the first grounds as this energy spreads out.
It says the fog obscures your ability to see illusion from reality as if to suggest its following the first four games. I wonder if the other new games like townsend will follow this logic.
The original games never expanded on if the fog is the energy itself and the reason a lot of the imagery in silent hill is abrahamic in nature is because of the cult and the towns history but at least from the original games it was the area of the town itself that was a native American ground full of spiritual energy and that sometime after that energy was corrupted maybe because of the war in the 1800 as that's when things seemed to start going downhill

It seems they did in fact talk to masahiro and others it's definitely better than the rubbish that came out after 1-4 I'm curious as to where they will go with this "silent hill syndrome" in future installments but I hope they stick closer to the original 4 games. Well, in this story, it seems to be connected to the Covid pandemic, that also happens there. Knowing how many people were affected by being unable to leave for health, it may have affected somehow. Though, with the points of how Silent Hill works, it is true that it doesn't add up. Though, I checked a Silent Hill map according to the games and you could theoretically assume that the Nightmare World or Silent Hills Power slowly increases. If we take only the games chronically. I'm interested to know what you think having more information than me.
@@luisfrank2734 if we only are talking about the original games 1-4 silent hill was localized only to affect the town. 4 was a special case because Walter performs an extremely complicated ritual with the sole purpose of being with his mother. The idea is to kill 21 people each with their own meaning. The game takes place outside of silent hill ... But there is a reason. Walter was abandoned in the apt complex the game takes place in and he sees the very apt Henry lives in as HIS mother. He creates a secret room and kills himself in that room after hiding it. The reason the characters are effected by silent hill isn't because of the town the reason silent hill is even mentioned is because Walter was an orphan that was taught by the cult in silent hill. So in his dreams he has heavy memories of silent hill. The game largely takes place in Walters dreams. So silent hill isn't actually effecting south Ashfield it's Walter using a special ritual to effect those he has marked to kill in his ritual. So the idea of silent hill spreading it's energy or power isn't backed up by the original games but we know that people can harness that energy to effect people outside of silent hill like Claudia with Heather or Walter with his ritual or James with his letter from Mary the town can pull people to it but EVERY character that is effected by silent hill has a deep history with silent hill james and mary honeymooned there heather is actually alyssa who was born there walter studied under the cult to perform rituals there in wish house orphanage angela was found there after running away when she killed her abusive father eddie ran there after killing a dog harry found himself there because his daughter and all the other characters in 4 were apart of walters ritual so you HAVE to have a STRONG connection to silent hill or at the very least history there to be affected by it.
Also the character that found themselves in silent hill by coincidence were bearing heavy trauma think of Angela Eddie and Douglas
