I’m researching this trek and hoping to do it in august or September and let me say - this was an excellent video. Well narrated, gave all necessary information. You definitely earned a sub keep up the good work!
Fantastic video! I've been looking around for a while now for short tours of Huayhuash that specifically start from queropalca and head to mirador tres lagunas - I'll be reaching out to Caleb's!
thanks for showing us these beautiful places, I live 8 hours from Huaraz in Peru so I'll definitely go to Huayhuash next vacations thanks to your video. Hope you're doing well wherever you're now!
What a wonderful video! I'm going to do the same itinerary with Caleb that you did for 4 days. I have a question about the last day you return to Lima. How was the transport to Lima? Did they pick you up in a van and then you took a bus? How was this return?
Yes they pick you up and then drop you off at a bus station from there you take a public bus to Lima...the ride is quite long due to traffic in my experience
Amazing video! How much did the tour cost? I would love to do the Huayhuash Trek in 4 days but can't find a short tour including the Mirador de las tres lagunas online.
Thank you for the video -- wonderful! I am thinking of doing the same (also with Caleb's tour) -- did you book online or in person? And do you know how often these treks run as I am on a tight schedule. Thank you so much -- subscribed!
I booked in person! I think it depends if they have enough people to form a group, you can check with them using their website when they have a group leaving, but there are many tours going out from various company, but it's not guaranteed everyday. The day hiking tours leaves everyday.
This is stunning!!! For trekking in this area, do you think it's better to book online in advance or go to a local agency when I arrive in Huaraz? There are a lot of options. Did you feel the altitude at all?
This was in June, but any month during dry season june to september I believe would be nice! I think it was around 900 soles, but the price may have changed
How did you deal with the altitude? How long did you acclimate before starting the hike?! My largest fear as I live near sea level 😅 incredible adventures!!!! Thank you for sharing them all with us!
I just came back from the 8 day Huayhuash circuit, it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, up there with Patagonia and Annapurna. Thanks again for introducing me to this trek
It's difficult to compare because I did 4 days in Huayhuash and 13 days in Everest, however, some differences to note: Huayhuash has more lake views and greens due to it's lower altitude, but the mountains feel farther away. You will need to sleep in tents as there are no teahouses like in Everest. There are no people living in the park but there are villages on the perimeter of the park. There are also no temples, etc. compared to Everest. There are much fewer trekkers than Everest. It could be cheaper if you bring your own tent and food, but might also be more than Everest if you join a tour, but I would say the cost different is not too significant. To me the difficulty oh Huayhuash is lower because it was a lot shorter and I went with a tour, the tour guide is always helping me. For example, he let me ride the horse. :P Take this all with the caveat that the longer trek of Huayhuash might be more difficult given the tiredness will add up.
@@travelwithfawn I did 12 days Huayhuash ( and I do recommend you do this as well ). I saw you did only 4 days. From some videos I did watch Hauyhuash may be more scenic than Everest Tree Passes Trek ...It could be lack of colors but I don't think I will be disappointed to go there 😅
Hello i did these two trek.....complete different!! three passes(from salleri) for 3 weeks ,with all accomodation in tea houses you go across several villages, is a little more difficult , with good acclimatation days after days.. take light backpack!! Huayhuash is shorter and you are camping ... i enjoyed both!!!
Thank You. We just finished Three Passes Trek one week ago. It was really great. Is more difficult for sure with some extra side hikes. Well worth it. Love both of them @@doussotchristophe9411
Hello!!! I just saw your vlog and I must tell you, I just loved it - simply loved it.. you have explained one of the most difficult trek in world in such a simplified way. I have so many questions to ask, let me know, how can I connect with you ? I always wanted to do this and after watching your video I have put this in my - go to list. The most amazing part is, that you have travelled alone.. and me and my husband want to know so many things, like how much is the total cost of reaching there, do we need to take any permissions before landing Nepal? Can we stay at Everest base camp? Do we need to associate with some kind of group who takes us to Everest base camp ? The list is on on.. do let us know, where should we ask all these questions. All the best to you!!!
Fawn, you have made so many videos. Have you never noticed that you cannot swing your smart phone to the lift or right in a sweeping fashion because the little camera simply cannot focus as quickly as you swing it? It makes me dizzy watching your attempt to show us the landscape. The images are blurred and it is uncomfortable. Could you please swing the carom much more slowly so we can see what you are trying to show us?
So beautifi, Cordillera Huauhuash❤
Thank you so much for posting this video, I'm always looking for new and cool places to go to. Safe hiking.
Stunning views ........ another great video production. Real pleasure watching it. Well done!

I think it was 900 or 1000 soles, around $270, I used Caleb's tour, they have this route including the 3 lakes, have fun!

Thanks for the video, what month did you do the hike?
Wow! What Company did you use? Would love to hike huayhuash in 4 days too since I only have a week there!
I used Caleb's tour. :)

@@travelwithfawn great! I’m keen to do this hike but I can’t seem to find 4 day hike on their website. They do offer longer hikes.
Loved tis video! If you don't mind me asking, which trekking company did you use for the tour?
Caleb's tour
How did you deal with the altitude? How long did you acclimate before starting the hike?! My largest fear as I live near sea level 😅 incredible adventures!!!! Thank you for sharing them all with us!
You can stay in Huaraz and do few day hikes there, if you don't have time, you can ask your doctor for some altitude sickness medication.
Im booking a trip because of youe video. Did you do the 8 day classic trek or longer/shorter?
That's great! I did the 5 day mini Huayhuash due to time constraint, I think the classic trek would be amazing!
I just came back from the 8 day Huayhuash circuit, it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, up there with Patagonia and Annapurna. Thanks again for introducing me to this trek
Hi, Can I ask what camera you use?
Amazing. How do I book this ? Can this be done with local trekking companies. Do you suggest someone ?
Yes I booked from Caleb's tour. There are many local companies providing this tour, I booked once I got to Huaraz
@@travelwithfawn Thank you
What camera or cell phone were your images and videos recorded with?
This was done with an iphone 12 :p
