Hey man! Glad you liked it. We are already working on a mini series based on this story, so keep an eye out for it. May I ask what account posted it on TikTok? Will like to check them out.
I honestly don't remember. I think it was one of the standard Windows fonts. I just created a mask with the font to reveal the background before I faded into the scene.
Great concept, interesting use of location, and nice props! I also applaud you for the introduction of this Godlike character. Though I feel like some parts felt off. The crane-down wasn't as smooth as you probably hoped. Definetly felt like a gimbal going down. I guess the other cheap way would be using a slider with a ballhead and put it vertically on a tripod, then slowly pull it down. Secondly, I lost sense of immersion due to the sound quality. There weren't any breeze, grass or cloth-movement sounds. The gun-sounds also felt like you just slapped them on. Cinematography wise, you did a decent job. Your way of capturing the characters and the environment felt satisfying, except for shots like 05:17 - 05:20 and 05:28 - 05:33 where you either lost depth of field or the camera felt amateurly placed. I like 00:00 - 00:08 , 00:42 - 01:41 and 05:08 - 05:16 very much though. Here you did an excellent job and it just felt very professional. I can see you've worked and possibly reworked the script a few times - but maybe it was a bit overdone, or maybe the actors were the ones who didn't deliver enough. Either way, there were lots of places where the dialogue felt cringy. Though I need to add that you did a good job increasing the hype for each dialogue sent. It just needs to sound more casual. You did a very good job with the music design though. Until 04:50, it felt very smooth and it sounded like I watched a professional short film! Overall, a great start. You'll definetly learn a lot in this industry, and I think you'll have a blast on that ride. I already see you taking feedback and critique in the comments with great value. If you keep doing that, you'll be going places. I wrote all of this not to bash your film, but to help you with your film career. I wish you good luck with your next project!
Of course! And I'll try my best not to sound like a jerk🫠 1. The introductory lines of the old white man: • I'd drop "We'll see" and jump straight to "Just let me do the talking". Then we get insight to the old white guy as someone with confidence who isn't making guesses. Then, I'd also not make him recommend the woman as if she was someone new in the business. We'd want to make this primary force of agent-soldiers stand out as confident characters, though not naive. I think it'd be good for the female character to also have some lines. Or at least, cut the white guy saying "Remember," where she continues what she should remember. "I have a history with him" sounds cool though. The way he says it sounds interesting. But he moves his head a bit too much. [I'll come back with occasional critique!]
Hey Deepak, there's quite a few reviews on UA-cam. Gerald Undone has an awesome review of the fx3. Do you have any specific questions on the fx3? Will be more than happy to answer
Very good film. I enjoyed it. Government agents are not usually seen in Honda. And the audio could be better in the scene before the action started. Bravo otherwise. Thx.
Lol, are you sure government agents in Japan don't use a Honda? I'm kidding. I used a Honda because I own it. Didn't want to spend any extra cash renting a car.
@@jomymatthews I didn't create a storyboard. I just planned the shots in my head and created a mood board using images from David Fincher's Seven that I grabbed from shotdeck.
@@jomymatthews Just realized I never responded to this. I own an FX3, so it was a pretty straightforward choice. Thought about buying a Komodo when I was trying to make a decision on what camera to buy, but ended up with the FX3 because it was a bit more versatile for what I had in mind at the time.
Hey man, thanks! Can't remember the exact details because I had an awesome sound recordist who took care of everything sound related on set. However, I think we used the Sennheiser MKE 600 shotgun mic with the Tascam 60D MK II recorder. I also had an amazing sound mixer in post who did a lot of cleanup of the sound tracks
Nice visuals. My only issues were when the camera cranes down to reveal the side view mirror, but the man in the mirror is never in focus. The music seemed bombastic for the action. And there was no environmental sounds like wind or a slight breeze. They were outdoors where there was clearly a slow breeze blowing, but the audio sounds like it was recorded in a studio. I know this was probably more for featuring the image quality of the FX3. So, with that in mind, it was well done.
This looks Amazing. The Lavaliere Microphones you use sound a bit muffled, and you can tell the sound was cleaned a little because the low frequencies sound robotic. Did you use a Boom Mic? Overall great job, man! This look like a Motion Picture.
Thanks budd. I think we used a combination of lavs and a boom mic. Sound came out a bit rough because it was a very windy day, so we did a bit of cleanup in post. Glad you liked it!
Saw this on TikTok …..PLEASE continue this storyline….give a back story and make it a 4 part series….I LOVE stuff like this!!!❤❤❤

Great job bro. The FX3 is such a beast of a camera.
It is! It handled the midday sun like a champ! I really wished I used cine lenses though
Great piece. More grace.

Well done Martin! I love the concept. Foward ever!!♥️
Thanks for watching!
nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
where did u get those fonts for the credits?
I honestly don't remember. I think it was one of the standard Windows fonts. I just created a mask with the font to reveal the background before I faded into the scene.
main thing missing is the background noise, it made it obvious the sound was recorded in post
Sound was not recorded in post. It was all captured on location, except for some minor screams and grunts in the end.
Nice short action film! 👍🏽
We need a FULL storyline or something or imma get really upset
Awesome job👏👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Shoot was 2 days, although I had some actors for only one day. Can't remember how long the edit took. I think 3 weeks or so

The fight scene was bad its funny.
