The goose/duck stuff makes me so nostalgic. I remember when i was a kid in the 90s all the moms and grandmas seemed to have them incorporated into their kitchen decor 😂
I think the seed packet container you got was actually to store mail. My family had one growing up and at least that’s what we used it for. But I don’t see why you can’t use it for whatever you would like it to hold.
Avoid painting over the entire chipped areas on your goose. It is glazed ceramic and the paint will look weird and streaky on top. I like to grab a few paints to mix if I can’t find an exact color match and just lightly touch up the chipped areas. Or leave her as is. She’s beautiful 😍
Those brown and tan "pots" are soup pots for baked French onion soup. It's a broth based soup with a piece of hard bread topped with a mix of cheeses like swiss, provalone,Asiago and mozzarella and you bake them in the oven until the cheese is bubbly OMG so good!!!
I saw a video recently where someone used one of those flip through picture holders (like the one you showed with the butterflies on it) and they put recipe cards in it instead of photos. I thought that would be really cute to have in the kitchen. The only recipe cards i have currently are written by my grandmother and have several of her home recipes. She's since passed so I would love a nice place to display them.
I'm so sorry for your loss. You're so blessed to have her recipes l. My great-grandmother was making a book of her recipes for me, but I don't know what happened to them. I grew up watching her carefully measure, take notes & write everything down. So it's especially heartbreaking that they've been lost.
Since paint dries a different color than when wet, I would do my best to color match and test it on the bottom of a white porcelain dish or something I don’t care too much for and wait for it to dry to compare the colors, then touch up the small chipped areas when I got the color right (to avoid having to paint the whole area)
3:50 i kid you not….my grandma had this exact goose in her house. i don’t live in Florida but i’d like to think that her things we donated to goodwill made it to you 💗
My mother had that 🪿cookie jar when I was in middle school. For context, I was 12 in 1993. My mother got it for a Christmas present she wasn't a cook so she kept her weed, cash & other stuff we weren't allowed to touch inside. 😂
Omg the box ornament!!! I made one super similar for my friend this year! That is definitely hand stitched with plastic mesh and yarn. They are more labor intensive than you'd expect to make but very easy and fun if you're into cross stitching ❤
Honestly acrylic should be okay to cover up the chips on the beak. You don't need to paint over the whole thing, just mix some up to be as close as possible to that orange, you could paint it on to a small part of the non chipped paint at first to test how it looks dry, since acrylic should come off easily if you need it to.
Early!!! Love you so much Froggy! Been a die-hard fan since the beginning of Leapfrog ❤ You've helped me through some rough times, so thank you so much 🙏❤🐸
Froggy! Im so glad you started collecting Cherished Teddies. Those are my prized things to collect, and I have one with little ducks in a bucket of water. So cute!❤
For the picture frame, you could find a nice spring field or meadow picture so when you open the fence door, it opens to a spring field/meadow 😃 you can even keep the “fence” door open to show the field/meadow in the distance 🥰
I touch up chipped ceramics with markers and nail polish. It's pretty easy to find markers to match and sometimes nail polish, when the marker colors are dry, I dab on clear nail polish. It works really well and doesn't come off when it gets washed.
Yeah, if you just grab some acrylic paint that's close to the color you want, and just lightly touch up the chipped areas, it will still look a lot cleaner! The white stands out a lot more than a similar color will, so you don't have to worry about an EXACT match. 😁
Oh my gosh, this video came exactly when I needed thanks Raven ❤. ( currently having some friend problems at school and it’s been kinda stressful so thank u, I needed this today 😅)
You can colourmatch goose parts by mixing acrylic paints. If a match is bad, you can wash it off with water, try again. Yeah, you won't be able to submerge it in water later but this is an old piece, they used to love put lead in everything so you probably don't want to put hot soup in this and let it soak with the dishes etc
I know this isn’t all related but you need to check hello kitty island adventure! It really looks like a game you love and kinda seems a little similar to animal crossing. The game is coming out on switch and I just thought to mention it as a suggestion :3 anyways I’m going actually watch your video now lol
I love your thrifting videos because seeing what you are looking and buying is exciting. I didn't know Goodwill had Monopoly animal crossing I didn't know that was a thing I kinda want to get that. The squishmallows that are by the door are cute. The big duck looked adorable. Also I love that Beanie Baby clock. The tiny pomom bear is a cutie I love it. The fish oranment is pretty.
Ite been so cold this yr in orlando im so stunned cause i always complain i wish i was colder but NOT like this fr 😂❤ but oh well! Also u def manefested that goose cookie jar! Such a lucky find!!
The goose/duck stuff makes me so nostalgic. I remember when i was a kid in the 90s all the moms and grandmas seemed to have them incorporated into their kitchen decor 😂
My mom had that goose cookie jar and sold it for $5.00 at the flea market.
I think the seed packet container you got was actually to store mail. My family had one growing up and at least that’s what we used it for. But I don’t see why you can’t use it for whatever you would like it to hold.
We used it for pens and notepads in my house
We have one that’s Christmas themed that we put out every year and it holds all the Christmas cards we get sent :D
I was thinking outdoor napkins and utensil holder
I also think to hold stationery would work well.
It’s for mail (back in the day makes me seem so old) you put bills and such in there so it wouldn’t get lost before you could send in your payment

That’s a good idea! I’ve also seen ppl craft cute cards that they put on those memory dex holders that they find in thrift stores too.
My grandma also pasted away pretty recently and my mom always makes her recipes:) so sorry for your loss❤

The little present with the bear decoration is a plastic canvas piece. It was absolutely handmade. Nice find!

Take the cookie jar to home depot and get it color matched. They could probably also recommend the right type of paint.
