also be aware that the band founder rhythm guitarist/2nd vocalist and lyric writer Miku Kobato in Thrill couldn't play guitar at all and they literarily hung the guitar round her neck that morning. We have now seen her over the years getting better and better at playing under lead guitarist Kanami's tutelage. I love Saiki's belt at the end. She really excels here. You were actually so lucky to find 'Thrill' for the first time just a few days ago and then go straight to 'Sense'. You must watch some live content as others have said, 'Domination', is a good place to go. As you watched 'Thrill', first song off their second album, 'New Begining', you could watch the video for 'Warning', which is the first track from their latest album 'Unseen World'. That would be my usual recommendation for someone to see how far they have progressed from 'Thrill'.

I'm a big fan of Thrill, I will always watch a new reaction if I come across it The thing that's most impressive about BandMaid is early song like Thrill were given to them by their label but now they write all their music and it's so much better Another impressive thing is that in Thrill the rhythm guitarist didn't play her guitar she didn't really know how but now she can hold her own with some of the best musician around

DOMINATION-LIVE (the quintessential live Band-Maid), ONSET-LIVE (instrumental- they way Rock is meant to be played-solos all around), FREEDOM-LIVE (the most FUN with a kickass drum solo). "Platinum End" is a story that when a god changes, 12 god candidates are selected as angels and fight, and the last one left is the god. The 12 god candidates fight with wings that can fly faster than light, a red arrow that grabs the heart, and a white arrow that destroys everything. The wings that appear in the "SENSE" Music Video are conscious of the wings of the god candidate, and the spotlight represents the arrow of the god candidate. If you listen again with such background knowledge, you can understand the goodness of this song further with the playing technique of BAND-MAID.

You need to check out some of their older "live" videos, before covid, with an audience. They are great live. They've done several online concerts in the past year, which are great, but with no audience. I would recommend 'Freedom', 'Domination'......well.....all of them.
I'm glad to see you guys like them. When I saw your Thrill reaction I knew you'd be impressed with where they are now. I'd say if you really like this speedy heavier song style check out their Unseen World (2021) album. Definitely their heaviest album. For a more pop groove feel check out CONQURER (2019), my favorite. WORLD DOMINATION (2018) is a more hard rock oriented album, Just Bring It (2017) is their self writing debut album. All of them are fantastic. Don't shy away from their other early albums too, they have bangers throughout.
Thrill was the video that got them attention (apparently they were ready to give up before that took off) but they didn't write that song - it was the early days where the label gave them material to record. They had to fight to do one of their own songs - that was Alone, and after that they basically wrote everything! So if you're interested in comparing then and now, that might be a cool one to take a look at, the first "real" BM song if you like!

I suggest you to check their live videos such as Domination, Freedom, Play, and Onset. Their recent live videos are from online live streams. They typically perform much better with audiences in front of them (more often better than their studio recording). After these live videos, just pick any video from their official YT channel. Band-maid is a great band, but there been many all female Japanese bands that came before them. Example the Zone or Scandal. I can give you an article about all female Japanese bands if you want. One band that is still going and just celebrated their 15th anniversary is Scandal. Just tell me if you want that article.

also be aware that the band founder rhythm guitarist/2nd vocalist and lyric writer Miku Kobato in Thrill couldn't play guitar at all and they literarily hung the guitar round her neck that morning. We have now seen her over the years getting better and better at playing under lead guitarist Kanami's tutelage. I love Saiki's belt at the end. She really excels here. You were actually so lucky to find 'Thrill' for the first time just a few days ago and then go straight to 'Sense'. You must watch some live content as others have said, 'Domination', is a good place to go. As you watched 'Thrill', first song off their second album, 'New Begining', you could watch the video for 'Warning', which is the first track from their latest album 'Unseen World'. That would be my usual recommendation for someone to see how far they have progressed from 'Thrill'.

You guys have a lot of catching up to do. The best Rock band anywhere. You've seen their first MV and latest MV (7 years apart). But Band-Maid really shines Live. DOMINATION-LIVE (the quintessential live Band-Maid), ONSET-LIVE (instrumental- they way Rock is meant to be played-solos all around), FREEDOM-LIVE (the most FUN with a kickass drum solo). No egos in this band. All members are featured players. Never forget: BAND-MAID is Awesome. Peace.

This song "SENSE" was written and composed by BAND-MAID as the theme song of the anime "Platinum End".
"Platinum End" is a story that when a god changes, 12 god candidates are selected as angels and fight, and the last one left is the god.
The 12 god candidates fight with wings that can fly faster than light, a red arrow that grabs the heart, and a white arrow that destroys everything.
The wings that appear in the "SENSE" Music Video are conscious of the wings of the god candidate, and the spotlight represents the arrow of the god candidate.
If you listen again with such background knowledge, you can understand the goodness of this song further with the playing technique of BAND-MAID.

You need to check out some of their older "live" videos, before covid, with an audience. They are great live. They've done several online concerts in the past year, which are great, but with no audience. I would recommend 'Freedom', 'Domination'......well.....all of them.
I'm glad to see you guys like them. When I saw your Thrill reaction I knew you'd be impressed with where they are now. I'd say if you really like this speedy heavier song style check out their Unseen World (2021) album. Definitely their heaviest album. For a more pop groove feel check out CONQURER (2019), my favorite. WORLD DOMINATION (2018) is a more hard rock oriented album, Just Bring It (2017) is their self writing debut album. All of them are fantastic. Don't shy away from their other early albums too, they have bangers throughout.
My favorite Band Maid song? The last one I heard.
Thrill was the video that got them attention (apparently they were ready to give up before that took off) but they didn't write that song - it was the early days where the label gave them material to record. They had to fight to do one of their own songs - that was Alone, and after that they basically wrote everything! So if you're interested in comparing then and now, that might be a cool one to take a look at, the first "real" BM song if you like!

Their recent live videos are from online live streams. They typically perform much better with audiences in front of them (more often better than their studio recording).

Band-maid is a great band, but there been many all female Japanese bands that came before them. Example the Zone or Scandal.
