he true moral of the story is the underlying respect the white and black dudes have for each other when working in the laundry department. I think the blind ignorance in the movie was definitely accurate. There are people in this world who are ignorant. They don't attempt to research things independently and are easily persuaded to hate. I think the movie did a good job of illustrating that point.

I think the idea with the end is that Derek coming out of jail shakes up the gang that he had killed 3 memebers of. The boy who shoots Danny at the end is the brother of one of the gang members Derek kills i believe. I haven't seen the film for a while. Also think about the fact that Cameron and Seth were jumped by the gang. It basically looks like the gang is making a statement against the aryan brotherhood: No one is safe in that gang, whether it's the leader or just an innocent kid.

It shows how FEAR of others makes extremists want other people to FEAR. People who obsess about race all the time much have nothing else to fall back on. Every group has its racists: whites, blacks, Canadians etc. A racist is a person who needs real skills and motivations. Can humanity get past this? I hope so. Try not to fear if you are a racist.

Everyone is human, so treat eachother fair. Respect eachother's behaviour. May we all live in peace.
