I'm forever a Zac Spin apologist because as terrible as green lantern was, I was fortunate enough to get one absolutely amazing forever memorable experience on it. Pulling into the station while upside down was the coolest thing
Your reviews are easily some of the best on the platform. You go into so much detail on the coasters you’re talking about and pretty much explain everything one can expect to experience when riding them. Which is perfect for me because I’ll probably never get to ride the elites over in America. I’ve been to Gröna Lund countless times because I’m Swedish myself. but what’s sad is that Insane has been closed for alot of my visits. Though I have ridden it a few years ago I don’t remember what it was like. But your review of Insane definitely made me want to go out and ride it again soon. Hopefully it will be open when I’m there again.
Green Lantern First Flight was already like an 8/10 for me for being the most intense coaster in America, so this is probably gonna be my favorite coaster in Sweden lmao
I like when Canobie Coaster said: Why is that? The original ZacSpins had a flaw. It was possible for the vehicles to return to the station upside down. In Europe, the operators...
Canobie Coaster would say: You get this freefall sensation while also being pushed outwards. Some may find this motion a bit too abrupt as you will be tossed into your restraint. Say "pretty abrupt", "very abrupt", and "a bit too abrupt". See the differences between the three terms and what is the biggest one? What do you think?
This is the first ride I’ve ever been on that’s caused me actually pain. Both me and my friend had our blood vessels on our faces actually burst from the intense whiplash, and my neck still hurts days later
Canobie Coaster would say: Fortunately, the three ZacSpins in Europe, including Insane, still allow the vehicles to rock as originally designed. Some still find this motion a bit too violent, and this is because of how the vehicles rotate. Imagine saying "very violent" and "a bit too violent", what are the differences between the two? What do you think?
Canobie Coaster would say: Fortunately, the three ZacSpins in Europe, including Insane, still allow the vehicles to rock as originally designed. Some still find this motion a bit too violent. This is because of how the vehicles rotate. What does "too" mean fron the quote?
If I ask you about the smoothness or roughness on Insane at Gröna Lund, Canobie Coaster would say: In terms of smoothness, Insane is excellent. All of the ZacSpins track very well. The discomfort people experience is related to the way the vehicles move, not the tracking. If I ask you, what about the pacing?
Hi, something you may not known. When it rains they ussually only use 2 of the 4 veichles. After some time and if it still rains they use all 4. That means 2 of the veicles are completley wett. This makes it so the brakes dont stop you, and you flip easier. Do you take on all of the coaster at ones and it makes it faster and more fun
The restraints are identical to: Maverick at Cedar Point Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion Fahrenheit at Hersheypark Storm Runner at Hersheypark Where do you like those restraints more, on these 4D coasters or on those coasters of the list?
From the early reviews I’d read of this ride (more free spinning compared to Green Lantern), I would’ve thought it was in the same tier as Ride to Happiness in terms of forces.
If I ask you about the ride's smoothness, Canobie Coaster would say: In terms of smoothness, Insane is excellent. All of the ZacSpins track very well. The discomfort people experience is related to the way the vehicles move, not...
Canobie Coaster, put here how many Intamin Zacspins were there built: Four Intamin Zacspins were built and opened, and there is one under construction in China. The first two opened in 2007, Kirnu at Linnanmäki and Inferno at Terra Mítica. This is the 25 model. Then in 2009, Insane at Gröna Lund opened. This is the 32 m model. Then came the most famous one. This was the much maligned Green Lantern First Flight at Six Flags Magic Mountain. This was designed to be an exact clone of Insane, but that was widely considered to be one of the worst roller coasters in the world. The other three are far better ride experiences. Why is that? The original Zacspins had a flaw. It was possible for the vehicles to return to the station stuck upside down. In Europe, the operators run over and flip the vehicles themselves. But the operators at Six Flags...
I wasn't impressed with the S&S free spin coasters I rode at both SFGAs last year (one in N.J. and the other in Illinois) due to them feeling more like a flat ride with the spins (no matter how numerous or lack thereof) being the source of any force since all the drops were in the form of trimmed raven turns. I've never ridden an Intimin ZacSpin, but heard bad things about Green Lantern, but this looks like a ride I'd prefer to either that or the S&S ones. I'm curious how you compare them; you gave this one a 7/10; what score did you give Green Lantern? Thanks for posting!
The restraints are identical to those on Storm Runner at Hersheypark. Where do you like those restraints more, on these 4D coasters or on Storm Runner? Why?
Canobie Coaster would say: I prefer the free spins that offer a high amount of flips over Insane, but I will take Insane over most free spins. I prefer the more unhinged nature and added intensity, but I know that is not for...
Speaking about unhinged and intensity, do you know something like that at Hersheypark? Canobie Coaster would say: Yes, S _ _ _ _ _ _ . Do you know which word is missing? It starts with an S. And see the restraints there, I think many found them uncomfortable, and you?
Canobie Coaster would say: Free Spins also have much smoother and gradual raven turns. Compare that to the ZacSpins where they feel like they're ripping you to the ground. I prefer the Free Spins that offer a high amount of flips over Insane, but I will take Insane over most Free Spins. I prefer the more unhinged nature and added intensity. But I know that... A) is for everyone. B) is not for everyone.

I was thinking the same thing, the raven turns look absolutely *insane* (had to) when you get literally yanked through them
They're intense.
Almost to 30k!!! Congratulations!!
Thank you!
This looks awesome and pretty, insane 🥁
It is.
I hope Intamin brings that concept in real life
Wdym
@@Sauci55on that modern Zac Spin at 3:58
I hope so too.
Green Lantern First Flight was already like an 8/10 for me for being the most intense coaster in America, so this is probably gonna be my favorite coaster in Sweden lmao
It's even better.
The name fits the ride perfectly
Sure does!
I like when Canobie Coaster said: Why is that? The original ZacSpins had a flaw. It was possible for the vehicles to return to the station upside down. In Europe, the operators...
Could flip them upright.
Canobie Coaster would say:

Say "pretty abrupt", "very abrupt", and "a bit too abrupt". See the differences between the three terms and what is the biggest one? What do you think?
A bit too abrupt is when it crosses into the uncomfortable threshold.
This is the first ride I’ve ever been on that’s caused me actually pain. Both me and my friend had our blood vessels on our faces actually burst from the intense whiplash, and my neck still hurts days later
Oh no!

Bit too violent means too much.

Excessive

Thanks for sharing how rain impacts this ride.

Maverick at Cedar Point
Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion
Fahrenheit at Hersheypark
Storm Runner at Hersheypark

The restraints are the same, but Insane is less comfortable than the others.
From the early reviews I’d read of this ride (more free spinning compared to Green Lantern), I would’ve thought it was in the same tier as Ride to Happiness in terms of forces.
The positive Gs here beat Ride to Happiness.
If I ask you about the ride's smoothness, Canobie Coaster would say:

The tracking.

Were not allowed to flip the cars.
Green Lantern First Flight was famous for all the wrong reasons once it was ruined
Sadly

Green Lantern is a hard one to rate. Some rides were ok, but I had one awful one when I got stuck upside-down.
Did you visit the Vasa Museet (the big viking ship museum) in Stockholm?
Not in my recent trip, but I did in 2017.
The restraints are identical to those on Storm Runner at Hersheypark. Where do you like those restraints more, on these 4D coasters or on Storm Runner? Why?
Storm Runner is a more comfortable experience.
Once I got stuck upside down for a few minutes in the station, it was fun just being upside down
Nice!
Canobie Coaster would say:

everyone.

Canobie Coaster would say: Yes, S _ _ _ _ _ _ .
Do you know which word is missing? It starts with an S.
And see the restraints there, I think many found them uncomfortable, and you?
Skyrush has tight thin restraints. The minimal contact can cause thigh discomfort, but I find it manageable.
If I ask you about intensity, I think there is a coaster at Hersheypark with that. Do you know that, yes or no?
Skyrush is Hersheypark's most intense coaster.
I absolutely hate the free spins, I do not like the free spinning seats and being stuck upside down for longer periods of time like on the first dip
You may not like this then.
I have that same problem.
And "too violent", what does that mean?
And "too" refers to a positive way or a negative way?
Too is negative in this case.
So Close To 30K Subs!!
Made it!
Gotta say it’s one good looking coaster. But I strongly suspect if I ever rode it, it would be a one and done. I’d rather have a longer, faster ride.
I prefer a lot of bigger coasters, but this is great for its size.
So what would you rate Insane?
It's in the video.
Weird ride, it looks so 🤪 ❤❤❤❤❤
Very intense.
It's cool.
Fantasiana is getting rid of Crazy Train. it is so over
I heard. At least people have another year to get their last rides.
Ahhh yes America being good ol Murica. Because there’s too many cry babies in this place to be fun and innovative. 😉
I wish we could run it like they do in Europe.
Better than tgreen lantern
Yes

Imagine saying "way the vehicles move" and "imperfections with the tracking". What are the differences between the two? What do you think?
Vehicles refers to the cars. Tracking refers to the trackwork.
