I have a pair of the B215D's and bepieve me when I tell you, THEY SOUND AMAZING and yes they do have a pretty good bass punch, I just love the amount of bass they produce. For small venues of about 100 people, there's no need for a sub. I always get compliments on my speakers.
Yo tengo esos parlantes son lo maximo tiene una calidad de sonido impresionante
They are still going strong and still are sounding great. I am really enjoying them for my live gigs, they sound way loud enough for what I do :) Worth every cent.
I used to DJ With a pair of the 15's a few years ago i dont know the exact same model but looks exactly the same. I can't tell you how many compliments we got cause the sound was so good. sure they can be pricey but well worth the money.
This is why I purchased them. I had them next to a set of Mackie speakers and I thought they sounded just as good. The 15"s are the way to go, they sound better than the 12's :) I've had mine about 8 months now and had zero issues. :)
I own 2 pcs. 15'' and 1 pcs 12'' and i am very satisfied with them since two years.
They have volume, bass and treble control.
Thank you for the clear video (+)
I have been using one single b212 and the pre-xenyx 1204FX for about 7 years, playing about 100 gigs per years, 95percent of them outdoors. Single acoustic electric guitar(yamaha) and one, sometimes 2 vocalists. This stuff has been reliable and sounds great. Audience averages about 20 to 40, but as many as 200. I would like to have the 15inch, but dont care to carry any more than I have to.
An actual review by someone who has experience. Great. Thanks. Having the comparison between the 12" and 15" is very meaningful.
thanks
You're welcome David. Cheers. I have recently put up another video review of these all this time after and they are still going strong.
These are really loud and clear no doubt about it at all
Wow, first video that really helped me with trying to figure out how to rig up my own PA. Thank you so much
Mine have been running great, no problems at all man. I take care of my gear and I never run them to the point of distortion either, they have done many gigs over the 7 months I've had them and zero issues so far. Any electronics can fail. Not sure if people are just using them with a MP3 player on 10 all night or not lol.
im in love with these speakers. a friend of mine let me borrow a pair and they sound great and they are priced to fit my budget.
I use four B115D's along with a B1800D Pro, the sound is phenomenal.
Sounds great :)
Yeah they are. check them out if you can first, I heard them vs the Mackie Thumps and liked these way more. Mine are still going strong and I use them all the time for gigs.
:)
Yeah possibly, depending on your application mate. If it's for vocals, guitar, acoustic stuff no. If you want to have low end thumping away (ie kick drum, bass, DJ) then yes.
These speakers are great, I would go for whatever you think sound best though. For me the Behringer 15's are way nicer than the 12's. if you can afford to get them, you won't be unhappy.
Yes they do have a nice low end, but the thing is, if you're after a really big kick sound you'll need a Sub. These will have more bass than a regular set of speakers though, there's no doubt about that. PA speakers have way more power and output.
Can I use the link output on the B215D to connect to a sub? Or would I be needing something different?
That would work mate if the subwoofer is powered.
something light and small to save on transportation issues. The bigger and heavier they are the more annoying they are to move. Go for anything that is good and that you can lift.
Thanks for the video. I had a pair of the B212D. They sound muffled with vocals. So, i sold them. Thanks for the info on the B215D. I was afraid that they may sound like the B212D. I'm glad to hear that the B215D sound better. I just ordered a pair of the B215D. Thanks to your review.
A sub is always good for dance music/dj work. For a live band vocal these sound fine as is.
I am now seriously looking at running full Behringer FOH (18sub,15Boxs) Great review and someone that uses them and from a real muso not a pretend one (DJ)
Well done buddy
Thanks Mick, I recently posted a video after owning these things for a year and a half and they are still going strong. thanks for the nice feedback mate.
Thanks for the review!
Greetings from the netherlands
behringer makes very good speakers. i had two big 1000 watts and 2 small 250 watts. there very good
yes, much so. Think about it you're adding another 3 inches to the surface area of the driver this is going to move more air molecules in the room.
Thank you :)
actually 550 is the peak power, is a theorical measure. The RMS power is 345W. You can read it on the last page of the manual
Room of 100 easily. I have used them in a room situation like that a few times, had no problems. That said, we didn't mic up the band for that gig, it was loud enough :)
Behringer is great have a pair myself. Clients love em
good demostration, much appreciate. I am debating on buying a pair of these in 15s....just needed some review. Im a scratching hiphop/dance dj and trying to find a good pair of powered speakers for a descent price
Hey,
Thanks for the review. A quick question - how many people would you estimate the 15" to be adequate for? Maximum people that the speakers can play up for?
Thanks - Mads
These speakers are still available in one of my usual online music shops here in England and the prices are £160 and £195 - amazing prices.
Great review!
Hey man I wondered if you still use the Behringer B215D Active speakers and if so, what's your opinion of them as of to date? Thanks for your video as well. One Love, DJ Malarky out.
Sweet review man.
I'm pretty much on a budget right now, should i start with the 12's and then move to the 15's later or save up more for the 15's?
Men THX So Much This is a Great Super Review! I actually thinking in buying a Pair also i have a Behringer Xenyx 2412 Mixer, & small Studio set with M-AUDIO BAX8 Monitors.. i want those Active Speakers For DJing at Home & Party's. Do you recommend me it on 100% ? THX plz Reply. Tony From Costa Rica.
With sub , use 12 inch (more equal frequentie) , standalone use 15 inch
Hey man sorry for the late thank you but I just got really busy over here in the southwest USA. Any way, thanks for the update as I may consider these for some dj work. I've actually been looking at the white version for weddings as I am a mobile dj and think they might have a unique place for that. But sound is more important than looks. I'll get to guitar center and try em out. One love, DJ Malarky out.
Would 2 pieces of B215D be enough for something like a 50 person party? I do not need to shake the house... Just powerful enough sound.
I might use the 12' as my FRFR amp for my AX8 :0
You can look at the SPL ratings.
Sorry I was Wrong it RMS is 280w down and 65w up, so total is 345 watts Rms each.
They DO sound good man.
I want to buy active speaker .. Think about Behringer B215D and Mackie TH 15A .. can you help me with the decision .. which is the better of the two speakers, and which to buy.? Mackie was listening, and I know how it works, but I've never heard of Behringer live ... I am from Serbia, and here they are the same price .. Thank you in advance for your reply
I'm looking at starting with a budget pair of 12" speakers, looking into these and Gemini,.... any input? Usage will be at home, playing mostly rock, alt., country, and some top40, hip hop, rap..... Thanks for the video.
Just how loud are the 15'' ones? Are these (2x) enough for a larger room (not at home) ? Something like a 50 persons party ? I don't need to shake the walls. Just to sound loud enough.
what do you think about the new mackie thump compared to these
Hi,
As you seem to really know what you're talking about .... ! How would the 215d's be using Yamaha cs2x keyboard, drum machine , vocals and bass guitar ? I use these for home use, but if I had to play out at smaller venues, would they cope ok ? Many thanks, Danny
would you recommend this 15D for church service?
Yes.
hey I have a question for everyone here or for whoever can answer it!
I am planning on getting two of these Behringer B215D. Do these have a good base in them or is it better off as just a speaker? Should I buy a woofer with them or just buy the two B215D's? :)
+Zanna Ali That depends on your metal or wood , in open spaces or gardens if you nesecitas sub for 150 personaspero if closed without sub 150 people , and with a sub 220 people , depending on the place where you use it
Yes, they would sound way loud enough for a church. go for the 15's they sound better than the 12's.
Have you ever powered those speakers with a power inverter...
Behringer kicks ass with P.A. stuff........best bang for the buck.
Hello,
Is it possible to connect a digital piano to this speaker? And does it sound any good for a small venue.
could you directly connect the speaker to your computer?
615D now out and are far superior
Any chance of a demo .?
What is the difference between the 115D and the 215D?
what sub would u recommend to use along with the b215d?
how to connect Behringer EUROLIVE VS1220 600W 12" PA Speaker with a mixer? Power amplifier is needed? Please explain it.. Thanks in advance.. :)
how is the bass going? do i need an extra sub or not?
can someone please tell me if one of these 15 s is loud enough for a fusion jazz band for vocals.
What Alto speakers did you have I might get the Alto t215s or these
hy
Question can I set-up 3 ACTIVE speakers ...How >>?? I already bought two B215D and 1 Eurolive VO 1520D ...But I dont know how to Set the up with my Xenix 1822 USB ...I need help please...
will the b212d be good for large dj work
can you connect an extra passive 15" PA speaker to its output? like daisy chain.... would it work with the built in amp?
no you can't you can only connect powered speakers.
would i need any addition subs/monitors for these?
Hi, how to connect pair Passive speaker? please help..
you need a power amplifier.
Can you recommend the b 208d as reference for studio mixing?
They are not really designed for that sort of thing. Check out the Behringer Truth if you want a speaker better suited to studio mixing :)
i think it was a very unfair opinion on the twelve inch speakers considering they are the same quality the only thing different is the volume rms and peak
Anyone heard the B215XL non powered version? That's the one I would get. Hope it sounds the same or better especially with external amps, it should be.
sorry i made a mistake, the real power is 280W RMS.
How do you get it
How do you get 876 783 3134
Those are not 550 watt, inside they have a 250 watt woofer and a 30 watt tweeter.
A 30 watt tweeter? Good luck with that. Usually the RMS is split between both speakers of generally a lower watts then totalled.
Behringer is great until it needs warranty service & then your screwed, they will make excuse after excuse of why they won't honor their warranty. Awesome stuff till it breaks. Good luck you'll need it.
Behringer is Australia is fine. I had a broken output on a mixer and they replaced the whole unit. I guess it depends on where you live though.
hi how high do u set yr speaker lever
I have one But the bass is horrible ... Why ??
I'm ready to purchase today a set of 2 with mixer and stands which set/company/brand should I buy I'm looking for quality sound
i have the b212 and a sub its wonderful no complaint here why would you use 12 or 15 for base buy a sub and use thw 12s for what they were made for....
12 and 15 thats 3inc difference duh come on
watts ?
can u plug a dynamic mic in directly ?
Yes you can, but you wont have control over the EQ.
I have existing powered mixer beringer pmp5000, with passive high and mid speakers and i need to connect active sub woofer speaker is it possible???... where do i need to input the active subwoofer? Please anyone can help thanks a lot.
No I would go the 15 over it any day.
can i plug on a microphone and is it loud enough?
you can surely connect a mic to this speaker, you will find the sound very very good! (sorry for my bad english) ;-) and the question about being loud enough......my speaker has been never put further than halfway, it plays unbelievebly loud!!
ok i play in a band and just wane know it :p

Nope. Have a good thing as to why a sound sample is useless for speakers.
If you go to make a video of hooking up stuff please do so and stop talking too much
Low quality speakers !! I recommend playing with jbl.
