@hackneyhorse Yes. 100% right. They all came across via the arabian ports so were called arabian but usually they were turks. My ancestor owned one called the Oxford dun Arabian who was a turk and his story tells how he was stolen and taken to the arabian peninsula under armed guard - it was impossible to BUY one as they weren't for sale.
