This version of Lucifer is WAY different than I expected from the Pilot…back then, it seemed like he was probably gonna be a super distant and harsh parent. He’s distant still, or at least was for a lot of Charlie’s childhood, but…he also clearly really does care about her. He was scared by the prospect his kid would repeat all his own mistakes and didn’t know how to deal with it, but he’s still willing to try for her now.
I love this cuz we know that charlie good personality and kindness from her father❤
Really not as sinister and portentous as I thought either.
nah he's a broken hearted disney prince, I mean he's tried to put little bits of happiness in hell, for example, luluworld
I feel like it makes sense, since after all, getting kicked out of Heaven from angels that have been living amongst you/your almighty father for trying to be creative and falling in love hurts. It suits him how he’s trying to be a good figure, and not be a horrible person since he doesn’t want Charlie to be shut out for being herself either.
@ShinaoKocho well god didn't kick him out it was the other angels that kicked him God seems absent from the show so far
As the sin of pride, it’s fitting that Charlie is what he is most proud of.
Thank you for making my day with that, damn.
Isn’t that someone else?

Wait, so you're telling me vivziepop is introducing a father figure that doesn't seem like garbage? Well, except for millie's dad. That's real life character growth right there.
Hey, hey, hey.
Blitzo and Stolas are good dads as well.
Stolas is a terrible parent. He constantly neglects his child in favor of Blitzø. Blitzø's family is fucked up and Loona is just abusive toward him.
@@machacasaurius i won't say you're wrong, but from my perspective, they are well intended dads. Not necessarily good ones. I mean, they basically did the stolas is actually a good dad, no really we promise, episode twice. Blitzo being a good dad just seems like a little fact they want to remind us of. Whether it's blitzo's fault or not, they don't really have a visibly fantastic relationship. But, the show does want us to think they are not terrible, I suppose.
@@ChocolateMelk-ow6ft She is 17 and if anything, seems like Stella is the neglecting one, letting Stolas deal with her nightmare as a child and canceling her trip with Octavia just to torture Stolas back in S2ep1. Also, doesn't seem to care much for her daughter when discussing killing her husband to inherite his possession. Even Andrealfus seems more concerned with Octavia's well being, since he uses the same nickname Stolas gave her. Let's be honest, Stolas isn't perfect but he tried to make her happy, to the point she never realized how miserable he was until he cheated with Blitzo. He has be shown as nothing but a good dad who truly cares about her.
Lol, and of ALL the dad's, it's straight up Lucifer. Makes me wonder if her mom might end up being the less kind one
"Looks like the apple doesn't fall far" that line was my breaking point
You can tell he had similar ideas as she dose but couldn’t ever do anything due to him knowing heaven woukdent listen to him
For me it was “I’m grateful your my Daughter/Father more than anything” that made me a sobbing mess that was so beautiful 🥹🥰

Even the afterlife is unfair lol
Hell of a thing ain’t it? 🥲
Same here
I’m so glad they actually gave Lucifer the caring father persona instead of just all bad and evil. It really fits him.
ngl im suprised lucifer doesnt sound as abusive / manipulative as what the screenshots imply
they genuinely care for each other
Those two things aren’t exclusive. Besides that Hell’s entire mission statement is to get people to go to hell and the literal king of hell allows it to be as terrible as it is. Theirs so much to Lucifer we don’t know and it’s got an eyebrow raised for me
@@Broomer52 lucifer and eve were forced to be sent to hell and watch all the bad bc they rebelled and lucifer gave up on his dreams

@@CherryChriitwo things. First it was Lilith mot eve. Second, that was Lucifer’s and Lillis, version of the story, which is very well may be very different from the actual truth
Oh man, that was beautiful. Had me tearing up at the end. You can just feel the love Lucifer and Charlie have for each other and the reconciliation and understanding they have achieved. All put together by their figuratively and literally angelic voices.
I’m not sure. Viziepop seems to like demon lore a lot and a Lucifer being sincere is like Zeus being a doting husband.
Lucifer here, align better than Dantes inferno’s. He rules the pride circle, pride is why he fell, he is known to seduce people with beauty, treachery, and deceit.
Noticed a lot of the reasons he says why sinners aren’t worth it are hypocritical, considering why he was casted out if you go back to his wording.
I think the Alstor was more than trying strike a nerve when telling off Lucifer. Possibly even even foreshadowing something.
When i saw pentious crying as he watched the song, like same bc i was also sobbing 💀
gotta say, i love the way the sins have been depicted so far, with bee being more the overindulgence side of gluttony than just eating a lot and lucifer being the 'good side' of pride, i can only hope he gets a villain arc where they show the dangers of it as well, to not only paint him in a good light the entire show
Yep. Of the four Sins thus far, the only one that's been portrayed as the negative embodiment of their aspect is Mammon. Meanwhile, you've got Asmodeus, who encourages healthy and consenting sexual desire in his role as the Lord of Lust, Bee is all about eating and drinking for the sake of having a good time and relaxing as opposed to using Gluttony as an excuse to check out and bury your pain, and now we've got Lucifer, whose Pride is(so far) displayed in taking due pride in his accomplishments and his daughter.
@@LordCommander-ui2fw even mammon is encouraging people to become better at their crafts, even if it is for a selfish reason
@@kurocat471 To a certain extent, but Mammon definitely takes it too far. He only cares about what the craft can bring him, not the craft itself or the craftsmen.
The bad side of pride was him thinking he can guide humanity on his own.
@@LordCommander-ui2fw thats why i belive greed is one of the leading sins aside from pride that humanity suffers as a whole, you cant have greed because you wouldnt have desires and you cant have too much of it or else you'd become... well... someone like mammon lol

Jeremy Jordan is always gonna be my favorite voice to hear acting or singing
So, everybody agrees that Lucifer not only sounds so angelic, but so does Charlie. Right? Also, this is absolutely AWSOME AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
Uuuuh, sounds angelic cause he IS a angel...that isn't all that surprising.
So Lucifer is a tragic character here, not a demon but still an Angel even tho its a fallen one... Interesting
It seems to take a lot of influence from Lucifer’s depiction in Milton’s “Paradise Lost”, where he’s more of a byronic hero than an ourght villain.
So far I'd have to disagree heavily. Lucifer in Paradise Lost and Paradise Regains is every bit as vile and villainous, the only thing different about him being that Milton made him hot (A good example being how subtly he suggests his plans to the fallen angels in Pandemonium or when he begins the war on Heaven).Unless at the end they reveal Lucifer here is manipulating Charlie and lying to basically everyone then they are kinda just making him a good guy.
It sounds like one of those songs you’d hear on the radio. This is amazing. I can’t wait for the episode to come out later
Okay, I'll be honest, I expected Lucifer to be a distant and Harsh father, NOT A TOTAL SWEETHEART LIKE THIS!😭😭😭😭😭LILITH FORGIVE ME BUT I WANT TO HUG THESE TWO!❤️❤️❤️

Stolas and Octavia have officially been dethroned as best daughter/father pair
*millie and his dad have left the chat*

2:06 This part was what made me burst into tears, Lucifer's beautiful voice demonstrating how much he missed being by Charlie's side along with this instrumental breakdown, this is art
Makes sense he's so scared. Last time he tried to make a big change for the better, he introduced Sin and kind of ruined everything.
That guilt must be crushing.
This song had me tearing up, Lucifer is different than I thought he was going to be, turns out he is trying to protect Charlie from what happened to him, and these parts from the song completely broke me: 0:29, 0:59, 2:05, and this entire part 2:34, and especially this part that made me tear up even more 2:54, they sing beautifully this is 100% going to be my favorite in the show, and Lucifer being my favorite character

Don’t forget 0:51 😭
An aspect of Lucifer that is very often left out in myth is exactly what sin got him cast into Hell. He was too Proud. Not of himself. Of Humanity. He LOVED Humanity more than he loved God. Lucifer is inherently a loving character.

This song hit a little too close to home
I didn't get to be around my dad growing up, my mom tried raising me without him, and I just wanted to have my dad there. And hearing Lucifer's support really hit me since it's what my dad did. I'm all he has, and despite being scared of letting me go, he supports whatever I want and dream
Same. When I was young my dad was there but not emotionally. When I became a teenager he took jobs out of state, and we were lucky to see him a few times a year. At 28 now he is really wanting to make up for lost time, and we reach out to each other ❤ The song had me tearing up tbh
Step aside Stolas, new best dad
Seriously, I love Lucifer so much as a father. He knows there's a disconnect from his daughter. He knows he's fucked up. But he's still trying his best to support her because that's what a father does. Even if he doesn't understand or agree fully, he knows he's supposed to support his daughter.
Lucifer reminds me of my little brother in spirit. Thank you for being a part of my life, even if it was just for a short time. A powerful teacher, but he never knew.
Lucifer's protective hug to Charlie was what broke me
Disney could learn a thing or two from this song right here. Because when i first heard this, i immediately thought it was a better version of "at all costs" from wish. THIS SONG IS SO GOOD, I GENUINELY CRIED LISTENING TO IT 😭

All that I’m hopin’
Now that my eyes are open
Is that we can start again
Not be pulled apart again
Cause in the end

He’s the dad that has a really important job but still wants his daughter to know he loves her
,
He’s similar to stolas
I like the song fr but when I recall it's Lucifer and his demon daughter I honestly feel sooo strange.... but eway it's so damn beautiful...
Lucifer's the perfect broken hearted disney prince
Think about it this way, when he was told no your ideas won’t work he went through with them anyway, and as a result, hell and sin was created as a result of his actions ergo, his decision not to listen to the others brought evil into the creation of his fellow Angels. At minimum he is exactly what he deserves to be. Now, Charlie isn’t guilty of her father sins, but I have no pity for him.
Let me guess lucifer say he'll support his daughter and i guess he open a portal to heaven and there will be welcome to heaven episode

Lucifer being an anxious wreck explains so many things.
This song actually made me cry.
When I was 7, my mother took me away from my dad. And she had always said that he left. And 4 years later, I got too see my dad again. And I learned the truth, that my mom had been lying to me for 4 years, and she never let my dad call me, or even see me. This year I finally have those 4 years from being taken away. My dad cares about my dreams, he cares for me in every way a dad is supposed to do. This song hits to me because it reminds me of my reunion with my dad. Also yes, I'm only 15 and watching Hazbin Hotel. ShUsH.
Finally a vivzipop character without daddy issues LESSS GOOO❤
I love this song it just shows that Lucifer really does care for Charlie and it sounds like he will support her dreams even though they may never work
BRO! I may hate that they are making lucifer the misunderstood hero, BUT THAT MANS VOICE! IS JUAT AMAZING! and it fits soooo well with Charlie's voice. There amazing together!!!
Tbh, the majority of the sins in this universe aren’t awful. I’m personally not surprised since they established that Satan and Lucifer were different characters, helluva boss ep 2 established that Lucifer made a theme park (which mammon ripped off) and episode one established he was creative and his ideas weren’t appreciated.
Charlie had to get that naivety from somewhere and Lorewise (hellaverse and irl), Lilith is not the embodiment of sunshine like Charlie is.
Oh no he could DEFINITELY turn out later to have a far more darker side to him than we se ehere
CAN WE PROTECT LUFICER
HE'S SO WHOLESOME
I love how they make Hell in this universe seem so different than the Hell we know. Almost as if Heaven and Hell is misunderstood. Or at least equally as good and bad together.
Yeah, Heaven and Hell feels like another version of Earth. Heaven is just very orderly while Hell is lawless to an extreme degree. But that doesn't make one good and the other bad, like Earth there is good AND bad in everyone.
you love how they spread misinformation about things ??
@@agirlwholoveseeyore No, I love how they make heaven and hell seem like they are equally as good and bad and twisting around some theories we have about them.
Hevean is supposed to be good but some people who believe they are doing "God's work" by killing and resenting other religions, I don't see that as good. Plus, one of my friends from college is a satanist but she believes in justice and righting wrongs and that Hell punishes sinners and purely evil people. She also believes in equality of all religions...so not really misrepresenting things to the max in this world.
i’m obsessed with his design
As soon as I found out that this would be the episode where Lucifer made his first appearance, I had a feeling that it would be my favourite episode. By the look of things, I feel I was right.
I know that the literal DEVIL is singing but this song captures my relationship with my father. He really was the best dad a girl could ask for he sadly passed of a heart attack in 2021 when I was 21 the week before thanksgiving. I wish I had hugged him more and told him I loved him more than I did. He was really strict but he was also so loving and so supportive of us. Love you dad and I miss you but I’ll see you again in Heaven one day.
I really think that Lucifer will fight Adam in the finale. That would be epic
lucifer would stomp effortlessly tf
I haven’t heard a song so god damn beautiful since “you will be okay” in helluva s1-2.
God damn cried in front of my wife.
Him trying so hard to hide his pain but being the fun joyous dad so his daughter would spend time with him…
Only for him to drop it all and show who he really was and what he was hiding…apparently angeldust wasn’t the only one being fake…
Having lost my father at a young age, this hits hard and made me realize how much I really miss my dad. If Heaven is real I can only hope he is proud of me and everything I've overcome
I thought Lucifer was gonna be a jerk
But he’s just a precious little bean!
I absolutely love the parallel between Lucifer and Charlie in this song. They both want to shelter and protect their families from heaven and the exterminators because they’re all they have
This song kind of hit hard, my dad worked almost all the time to pay the bills when i was younger so we were pretty distant but we've slowly gotten to know each other over the years
This song make me tear up a lot it really suits a relationship between father and daughter, but also the relationship between a ruler and the kingdom
Oh no I'm definitely going to start breaking down in tears this episode, but in a good way, I probably need it anyway
Goosbumps* this song and their voices are goooood
I was trying to figure out where I’d heard Lucifer’s voice before, because Jeremy Jordan’s singing just sounded so familiar. And then it hit me.
That’s Varian from Tangled
A bit of background on Lucifer.
He is:
- the supreme ruler of Hell
- leader of the 7 great sins
- founder of the Goetia
Up until now he has retreated into his own depression mostly and kinda left the sinners of hell to their own devices. We will see what happens from now on.
the way i CRIED during this scene it was so sweet
Jeremy Jordan will slay every role he plays
Why, why is this the one song that makes me sob
Lucifer Morningstar: The Lonely Angel
I ended up loving Lucifer more than I thought. And in this song you can really hear the love he has for his daughter. This song is easily my favorite from the show so far!
I love this cast so much. First Dr. Facilier from Disney and now Varian (Tangled tv series).

2:33 notice how they said that we can start again and not get pulled apart again that means something happened in the past probably when charlie was just a little kid they both got separated from each other for whatever reason and since we will most likely get a backstory on charlie it will most likely explain why lucifer and charlie got pulled apart wich is why when charlie was young she didn't really know anything about lucifer at all
No they just did not spend alot of time together because of Charlie’s mother
it is actually unfair how good this song is
Getting Jeremy Jordan to play Lucifer was the best choice this show ever made
