I think the success of Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a combination of a great cast and excellent writing. The stories are complex and not based on criminal activity (for the most part). It's confronting issues that fall into the grey areas of the law and that part of the audience may or may not agree with. These are the kind of stories that attract viewers.

Every KDramaholic knows him, even if only for his looks. As for me, his performances as a supporting character are very memorable, he will reside in your mind and remind you of his existence when you see him in other dramas, even for a bit role. He's one of the actors that I always have the 'I saw him in (name of drama)' moment. His Sous Chef Min Soo in Oh My Ghost and Manager Goo in Exit made me like him because of his portrayal of the annoyingly lovable characters. But his portrayal of Attorney Jung in EOAW changed all my perspective on him as an actor. I'm now watching and rewatching the dramas and movies he's been in. He did an excellent performance as Qasim in The Point Men. To all Kang Ki Young fans, this movie is a game changer for him. Made me more excited to see him give life to Pil Gwang in The Uncanny Counter 2. I hope everything goes well for him and his career, because he's such a good actor, but sadly a little underrated. I'd want to see him in a romcom as a ML, like his President Park in WWWSK, but in a much grander scale. I read that he's been casted in one! Hoping to see more of him!🥰🥰🥰

Myeong-seok is a character that strikes a balance between serious and comedy in such a fine manner that it's almost hilarious, not to mention he carried the role so well that it made me forget the comedic roles he had played before this. I have watched less then 30 dramas, and he's been in 7 or 8 of them. I was not aware of him being in 6 of those before starting them, but I always absolutely love his part
I lved watching him in Woo Young Woo because I usually see him in roles as a villain or as someone who's like a fool so watching him as a smart and thoughtful person was a great eye opening to me. He still made me laugh but I really appreciated how he brought his character to life.
I'm so happy he got a main role as well as Junho (Taeoh). I've seen them in so many secondary roles that I always wished I could see them in a main role, specially Junho. He's so charming that I always ended up having a supporting character's syndrome XD And I also have to mention Kyungha (Sooyeon). I've seen her in other dramas as a supporting role and I'm glad she got a secondary main role here, she's such a good actress. I hope Kiyoung and Kyungha can get another main main role in the future (like Junoh's or Eunbin's). Cause even though they got a leading role in EAW, it was more like a secondary main role. Still, I'm glad they got their deserved spotlight.
First drama I saw him in was Let's Fight Ghost, he was hilarious so he left a very good impression. But that scene in the car in EAW was when I realized that he was among the best actors around. Breathtaking scene! I wish him a lot of success and I hope to see him in a lot more dramas to come!

Extraordinary Attorney Woo was one of my first exposures to South Korean television and while it seems to be a cultural remake based on the French TV series Astrid et Raphaëlle, it is an excellent series with very high quality acting. Seeing Kang Ki Young's character develop over the series was actually one of the acting highlights of the series. I enjoyed this series far more than I would have expected and Attorney Jung was a very important character in my appraisal of this wonderful TV series.
Please mention his role in Moments Of Eighteen, where he played a high school teacher with a heart for the students and held his ground against pushy parents. I fell in love with him as Attorney Jung and realised that I had first seen him in I'm Not A Robot. His role there was good but Atty Jung is just unbeatable! Am now catching up on his previous shows (like Moments Of Eighteen) and very happy to be his fan, knowing what a sweetheart and family man he is and bonus point....his birthday is just one day after my dear hubby's! I'm heading to Korea soon for a short holiday and if there is one Oppa I could bump into, I would choose Kang Ki-young. :) Thank you for this great video!
My cousin told me she was watching this series. I was a special education teacher. This caught my attention because it was about an autistic person. I must say, Woo Young Woo was portrayed excellently. If I didn’t know she was acting, I would have believed she was autistic. I love the three main characters, they have a chemistry that make them seem like true friends. The way Jung Ho looks at Young Woo makes me believe in true love. This show is one of the best shows I’ve seen in my life! I am anxious to see more. Hopefully I will learn Korean from watching this. Like how RM (BTS) learned English from watching Friends. My mama in heaven would be so proud if that happened. I remember her speaking Korean and me just looking at her like what is she saying? The adults only spoke Korean on rare occasions or when they didn’t want us kids to know what they were saying.

I love this series. The story , writers, screenplay, actors and director did an amazing work. We cannot understand the story without an excellent translations. I also learned a lot in the legal cases presented in the show and how it was resolved.The way he played the character as the lead /senior attorney is just flawless. All of the actors played their character very well that they don’t look like they’re acting at all.

Kang KiYoung has shown the depth of his acting talents in portraying Attorney Jung. The drama rests on the skills of three actors, and he is one. He portrays certain subtleties like a smile, and that completes the segment for that particular narrative. I trust directors both in movies and TV dramas would catch these subtleties. I enjoyed his depiction of Attorney Jung, and look forward to Kang KiYoung getting meaningful characters. I wish him the very best! 🌹🌹

He guest starred in When You Were Sleeping as a man who killed neighborhood cats and eventually killed his brother for insurance money. He was so good in that drama. I cannot give his acting justice.

I have watched less then 30 dramas, and he's been in 7 or 8 of them. I was not aware of him being in 6 of those before starting them, but I always absolutely love his part
I know him from "oh my ghost" he is one of the most annoying characters in the drama, but his amazing skill to portray the character is unbelievable
it's true!! i barely recognized him in Wooyoungwoo cause he was so mature and mentor like in this drama
I lved watching him in Woo Young Woo because I usually see him in roles as a villain or as someone who's like a fool so watching him as a smart and thoughtful person was a great eye opening to me. He still made me laugh but I really appreciated how he brought his character to life.
I love that he finally getting the attention he needed and I have been a fan of him since I watch oh my girl
I'm so happy he got a main role as well as Junho (Taeoh). I've seen them in so many secondary roles that I always wished I could see them in a main role, specially Junho. He's so charming that I always ended up having a supporting character's syndrome XD
And I also have to mention Kyungha (Sooyeon). I've seen her in other dramas as a supporting role and I'm glad she got a secondary main role here, she's such a good actress.
I hope Kiyoung and Kyungha can get another main main role in the future (like Junoh's or Eunbin's). Cause even though they got a leading role in EAW, it was more like a secondary main role. Still, I'm glad they got their deserved spotlight.

First drama I saw him in was Let's Fight Ghost, he was hilarious so he left a very good impression. But that scene in the car in EAW was when I realized that he was among the best actors around. Breathtaking scene! I wish him a lot of success and I hope to see him in a lot more dramas to come!

He is my and my daughters FAVORITE and has been for quite a long time. Ever since we saw him in weightlifting fairy we have affectionately called him “Uncle”. We are so happy he is doing so well in his acting career and can’t wait to see him in a leading role!

I loved his character in WWWSK... he was so naturally funny... but I loved his personality in EAW... he is so good looking as well in EAW. More power Sir Kang KiYoung...😊
seems like most drama he acted in are always received well by audience. even tho to some he might just be a "supporting " role, i feel that he actual supported all those dramas, giving them a chance at success with his outstanding acting.

I know this dude from i am not a robot , i remember being a 10 who used to watch kdramas in 2018 on her mini phone and ever since then this actor has been in my eyes , i have seen in so many dramas and always wished him to be a main character atleast in one and still hopes too . I love this actor. I love everyone in this series. I love the story line. The acting is super. My son is in the spectrum. It’s nice that they are represented on Netflix. I hope there is a 2nd season for this series. This is definitely a show to watch.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo was one of my first exposures to South Korean television and while it seems to be a cultural remake based on the French TV series Astrid et Raphaëlle, it is an excellent series with very high quality acting. Seeing Kang Ki Young's character develop over the series was actually one of the acting highlights of the series. I enjoyed this series far more than I would have expected and Attorney Jung was a very important character in my appraisal of this wonderful TV series.

Please mention his role in Moments Of Eighteen, where he played a high school teacher with a heart for the students and held his ground against pushy parents. I fell in love with him as Attorney Jung and realised that I had first seen him in I'm Not A Robot. His role there was good but Atty Jung is just unbeatable! Am now catching up on his previous shows (like Moments Of Eighteen) and very happy to be his fan, knowing what a sweetheart and family man he is and bonus point....his birthday is just one day after my dear hubby's! I'm heading to Korea soon for a short holiday and if there is one Oppa I could bump into, I would choose Kang Ki-young. :) Thank you for this great video!

My cousin told me she was watching this series. I was a special education teacher. This caught my attention because it was about an autistic person. I must say, Woo Young Woo was portrayed excellently. If I didn’t know she was acting, I would have believed she was autistic. I love the three main characters, they have a chemistry that make them seem like true friends. The way Jung Ho looks at Young Woo makes me believe in true love.
This show is one of the best shows I’ve seen in my life! I am anxious to see more.
Hopefully I will learn Korean from watching this. Like how RM (BTS) learned English from watching Friends. My mama in heaven would be so proud if that happened. I remember her speaking Korean and me just looking at her like what is she saying? The adults only spoke Korean on rare occasions or when they didn’t want us kids to know what they were saying.

I love this series. The story , writers, screenplay, actors and director did an amazing work. We cannot understand the story without an excellent translations. I also learned a lot in the legal cases presented in the show and how it was resolved.The way he played the character as the lead /senior attorney is just flawless. All of the actors played their character very well that they don’t look like they’re acting at all.
I actually knew him through At Eighteen and thought that he really fits roles with an authoritative and yet friendly figure.

im pretty sure he was one of the first kactors who stood out to me, ive always loved his roles! i even remember looking him up repeatedly and being super disappointed bc he hadnt had his own main character moment yet... when i started watching extraordinary attorney woo i didnt even know he was part of it but was elated when i saw him. im so so happy for him to be more recognised now, he has so much talent and potential and i really hope he will be able to play more great roles as he grows. i always look forward to seeing him on screen
