- I was staying at Noie's house the Friday night before we the first Saturday and I had some time to kill before he got home so I decided to watch the sunset and hear this thing do its measly growl. Come for the siren but stay for that beautiful sky behind it. This, and the rest of the sirens in Addison township do a blast around 6pm every night all vary of how long each go for. This sentry went off at 5:56PM.
Hard to beat a nice Midwest winter sunset.
I could be wrong about this, but if this is the new one on top of the FD then it replaced a sparton model 37 after the chopper motor went bad on it, i dont know if it is, i was told by another enthusiast and it says it on a michigan statewide siren map.
Nothing like a good old, healthy siren. Question, with Saint Joseph County’s test being on independence Day, are they still going to run the sirens? I plan on being in the area.
Midwest sunsets FTW! Is this on 120 or 208V? it sounds a little sluggish
It replaced a Sterling Upright Siren, I believe it was first wired to 120 but may have been changed since.
@@mrnorthwestohiodude7758 What i was told if this is on the Fire department, it replaced a Sparton model 37, after the chopper motor died, i can check again but this is what i was told
