Apostle are those who are elected disciples of Christ.. Today he is elected as a Disciple of Christ , through Holy Spirit .. There is difference between being Prophet and being apostle....(Prophets were Sent to Israel during Old testament times to conform their deeds to the scriptures.. but apostles were the disciples of Christ who were called to live the new covenant (testament) and to call others near Christ. Initially bible was written in hebrew , then it was translated into Greek, which became Greek septuagint then it was translated from Greek to latin , then latin to English.. and from English to many other languages , . Simultaneously Jewish rabbis translated it back into hebrew ... So we today have transllations both from Greek , latin , and hebrew among other languages.. this happened with old testament...
