What really disappoints me is that Russia spent an awful lot of time and money in developing and commissioning Nordstream 2. This was a collaboration between two friends to deliver cheap gas to Europe and the UK. To me, it was a triumph of engineering and collaboration. The loss of that resource is a huge loss to Europe; the cost of which will be felt by Europeans and the UK for decades to come. Who was responsible for damaging such a relationship among countries that obviously considered themselves as friends? It is a very sad state of affairs.

I honestly think people are just so blindsided by the fact that nuclear war is still possible. Watching Oppenheimer left me with a horrible feeling. The ending sent shivers down my spine. I've never had a film to that to me like it did. Because the idea of global nuclear war actually happening is by far the most outrageous thing humanity would ever face so people just forget that it's still a possibility. There are LITERALLY THOUSANDS of fucking missiles just sat in silos which together have the capability of ending humanity. Just sat there. With the right circumstances and crazy people in charge, one wrong move and it could start a chain reaction and happen quicker than we know it. It all slowly builds and then bang that's it.
We already have those circumstances and crazy people in charge and to even put humanity in that situation or play around with it is by far the most insane and stupid thing humans can do. The first was creating the bomb in the first place. Why risk it all just to flex your power? Why fuck around? Because one day it will slip and humanity will find out. There is one thing that we can learn from history that humans are obsessed with our own self destruction. We are so advance technologically yet we are so immature mentally and emotionally. The people in charge care about themselves and the people care about the people. We literally can't do fuck all. Let's hope we make it to the next century.
