What a wonderful miniature lathe, extremely useful too!
Your idea of printing out a drive belt was truly inspired.

Thanks Felix! That lathe has been so useful. I'm no machinist.. the small scale sure makes it less scary to use. Thanks for watching!

    Just found your channel.
I have the same lathe, brought in 1982, i have had the motor rewound, and i use large 'O' rings for drive bands, they work very well, and are easy to source

Welcome to Mior Jeff! Great tip! It's a lovely little machine. I think I'm going to get something bigger though. I feel I'm always trying to make it do things it wasn't built to handle.

You should consider to prepare something to catch the ready piece when cutting it off from the spare part. If the piece jumps away and gets lost in the workshop you also have to start over again. Something like a needle in the drill chuck would do the job.

Thanks! So kind of you to say. I actually made the music for this video. So the only way to hear more of it is to watch my videos. 😊

Excellent video. I love that you used a prima/monoprice mini printer to make belts. I happen to have the monoprice version. Do you have a STL's for the belt to link to?

Thanks! Glad you liked it! It's a great little printer. Sure here's the STL: 1drv.ms/u/s!AuyjSY9CJshSlQGtP0xCc--vskjj?e=cbjBbI
You could make the belt a bit thicker, I made it quite skinny to save material and time, but it has worked great for me. Good luck!
