- Alberta’s first former hijabi firefighter recruit is now proposing a more practical gear for Muslim women who wear the hijab interested in becoming firefighters. Amber is encouraging women to not let barriers get in the way of pursuing their dreams.

Congratulations to Amber for being a recruit firefighter and making it so far but I will say 1 thing as a recruit myself the gear is designed that way to protect you it must fall under NFPA standards not what you want
