- The final boss!
I bit it hard in my first attempt, so this was revenge. Still, that phase transition is just brutal, even after all my grinding. I can't wait to do a true Oblivion video someday.
Round Slicer is just ridiculous. Fairy got the final blow too!
This battle was a nightmare. I was so not ready when I entered the abyss. Pretty much every boss battle before the abyss was a cake walk, but the return battle with 4 nobles and the final boss.. took me 11 tries to finally have that one lucky shot.
Fun fact: If Mikhail was in Katarina's party during the battle against Oblivion and the Masquerade was retrieved, they will be altered dialogue between them at the end.
I'm surprised they didn't censor that blood animation on spear waza on this version, good! xD
And nude female enemies.
Interresting... The text appearing in the final phase is not Oblivion/the Destroyer speaking in a Cloud of Darkness manner as in the SNES fan translation, but the party stating that they are reaching their limit.
I'm playing the original SNES version instead.
This boss is just wtf difficulty, if you don't run out of HP, you run out of SP and MP. Literally had an invisible monika casting revive repeatedly to heal the damage dealers for 40 minutes I reached the "Final Phase" (The one where theres a text bar saying [We cannot hold it back any longer] something along those lines) easily but wtf its like he's not even taking damage. In the end I ran out of SP,I broke all three healing staves, damage dealers run out of SP and eventually died to the boss's "AoE storms" (Peony/Yousei,Khamsim(the greedy dude) Ellen, Julian) then monika run out of MP and at that point I just gave up and made her melee punch the boss till she died. What's also annoying is that I can't bring a 6th member into the abyss because ofc story so I can't utilize the hidden stat known as "support" The baffling part is that all of my party members had 900+ HP except yousei/peony who is at 800+ hp. It's like the game telling me to grind them to 2000 HP and 1000 SP and MP. The difficulty gap between the four other abyss lords and this is just like comparing a chuupacabra to a T-rex. To anyone who has read this far, good luck trying to beat the last abyss lord with a "plot-oriented" team.
Yeah, I remember how much I was suffering in my first run. In my second run I defeated Oblivion on the first try, thanks to my party which I built a lot better than my first one. Boston is a pretty good martial artist, especially with Shadow Servant. Plus, the Matriarch Spear has an ability (Paean of Victory iirc) that buffs all party members attack (physical and magical). With Ellen and Boston, I did +10k damage per turn while spamming Tiger Break!
(English is not my native language so there may be some mistakes, sorry about that)
I already have SaGa frontier on pc. I've known Romancing SaGa 2 and 3 are ported there too. I think I'll get those two in due time as well.
Congratulations for finishing the game
So did you unlocked the new hero ? The one they announced in the trailer remake
i been wondering who it is too.
@@TheMixedPlateFrequency its the vampire guy
@@TheLegendaryAuron Leonid the red haired vampire man?
How do you just arrive home after all of that? Lmao!!
The final boss is bull shit. I could barely beat the sinitrals who has around 30000hp, but a final boss with 70000HP? And he could easily one shot your whole team? This is ridiculous.
Tiger's Ferocity is a great formation for helping you tank damage.
@@SilverHairedFreak25 Yeah, literally boat someone the entire fight just to cast revive. Atleast let players have a 2-3 party member heal spell if you're gonna make a boss with superb "AoE storms"
I've heard that giving Rukh Dragon's Descent broke the game.
Since he has a lot of LPs, he can tank a lot of attacks.
split body cause a lot of damage too
Man, i wonder what this game would look like. If it had the FF7 remake treatment and the graphics, just looking at it as it is now is greatly impressive and creative.
No, the RS3 is perfect as it is
Ew fuck that
Dude...I'm stuck on the GD red dragon in Haung. But congrats tho
If Blaze is getting you, you can put Fire Wall on your fastest character and see if you can nullify it, or defend on the first turn/use Tiger's Ferocity formation to try and leave yourself in better shape.
Yea. Blaze is a bitch. Thx. Will try that later
Katarina is Lightning ff13 senior.
I got to the point where the eclipse couldn't be held any longer. Got tired of him putting my whole party to sleep around that point. Looks like I didn't really miss anything with the ending (also have Katarina as my main)
Fun fact: Screwdriver tech crits on this boss so it can be regarded as a female entity.
Oblivion = Destroyer
Thats the real english!
l prefer to call this entity by destroyer
If you're talking literal translations this boss is actually "Thing/object that destroys", so even "Destroyer" has had some degree of stylistic localization applied to it.
Ultimately "Oblivion" is a completely fine choice for localization, the point is to understand that it's a manifestation of the Abyss' apocalyptic energy.
@@Omnicrom I prefer calling it "giant space flea from nowhere" :v
@@NoNameAtAll11 That's nice. Why are you telling me this?
@@Omnicrom because he is a underage who spends too much time on TVTropes
So, at the end, was the Earth flat and then it reformed into a spherical shape? Or was that just metaphorical?
I remember this fight on SNES being Brutal purely because of the Eclipse field. I see that hasn't changed at all, yikes.
you expected this fight to be really easy??
@@franciscodavi1323 No. Not sure why you think I would either.
How many hp has final boss?
The snes version was around 20k or something maybe they nerfed it a bit
from 70000 to 100000
75000 HP, +15000 HP for every Sinistral you didn't kill beforehand.
Why Oblivion, though? I like Destroyer better.
