I feel sad watching this. And would like to tell Yuzuru that his various performances, his exuberant joy when he wins, his humility, his total passion when performing, continues to lift my spirits. I repeatedly watch his past performances
It is admirable for this young man to think of pleasing his fans; however, he should realize that you will never please everyone (even fans). When I looked into his pattern of getting to where he is now, it seems like he put in a great deal of diligent work, through exhaustion, duplicating manuvers over and over again, physically injuring himself over and over again and never giving up on what he so loved in life (skating). In one interview he stated he was born to skate. There are few that will put in the physical and mental work he has. He owes nothing to spectators but the best he can do. Having made this statement, he has done just that and more. I watched his collision on ice when he continued to fall and yet got up and still competed. Many would have given up at this point. I observed his disgust with himself in this unfortunate accident, that brought him to tears. I was so very upset that they didn't put him on a backboard and take him immediately to the hospital for observation, instead of walking him off of the ice. This man won the Olympics and world's championships. What more can fans expect. As a youth I was able to meet several entertainers and their management teams. I asked just what they felt they owed to the fans and one manager stated all they owed was the best show they could perform. Mr Hunyu has done this and more. If I was to speak to this champion I would advise him of what he has done, not what happened on any one occasion. I use to cut the ice for Dorthy Hamel and I remember her complaining when one of the other staff drove the equipment and gouged the ice. I went over and patched the ice and drove the Zambonie straightening out the ice. When we returned to the mechanical room the other man began to complain about this woman getting upset. I then asked if he were an olympic champion in skating wouldn't he be a bit concerned with improper made ice that may accidentally end her career. Mr. Hunyu, you have proven to be the best there is. You have to prove no more. Enjoy your sport and don't worry about what others think as there will always be a few who enjoy destroying athelets who have more ability than they do. If I had one wish for you it is to go on living as though you had just won your world and Olympic championships yesterday. You will always be a champion and have left great admiration by many. You are one who has given your all and you owe nothing.

Según las enseñanzas budistas un ser que ha alcanzado la iluminación es aquel que es capaz de no dejarse influenciar por los 8 vientos... ショートの初っ端に穴にハマった瞬間は、「三連覇が消えた」瞬間だった。
それは、ギリギリ引き絞った弓から、ぽとっと矢を外されようなもの。誰でも一瞬で腕の力が抜ける。戦意が喪失する。
でも羽生君は、矢の無くなった弓を、最後まで、力いっぱい、引き絞り続けた。ありえない精神力。（鬼神だ）と思った。
試合があれば、誰かが金メダルを取る。しかしあれは普通は見ることのない「鬼神の証明」だったと思っている。
「羽生選手の無双の精神力の証明」金メダルよりはるかに価値があるものを見せていただきました。
「本当のチャンピオンは誰か。みんな知っている」って、みんな言ってたし「羽生結弦はダイヤモンド（バトンさん）」だし。金メダルはいらないでしょ。
