Questions I would really ask that you consider: Was Jacob Zuma removed as result of a state and private sector Orchestrated coup, given the similarities in the removal of the Brazilian President at the time (both Brics members)? Was there collusion between those forces and the western neocons given both similarities in profile between Rhamaposa and Bolsonaro who succeeded the respective presidents?

I wish their were more podcasts like yours in the country. You do not tell us what to think or believe. To many podcasters and especially mainstream media believe they know what is best for us. Am enjoying your analysis from Namibia, kindly do the same for Namibia after the SA elections. If EFF gets its way and implement some of the cardinal pillars. That will shake Namibian voters to envy what's happening in SA. Namibia votes in November.

Excellent question Sizwe. I think it’s completely plausible to envision Cyril Ramaphosa resigning from the ANC leadership role. Ramaphosa does not have any incentive to stay in the presidency, his willingness to resign post-Phala Phala tells us this. To draw a comparison, I would say Zuma has an incentive to return to a level of power for access to state coffers - as per the findings of the Zondo Commission. In terms of John Steenhuisen, I do not see him being removed from his position due to the fact that the DA are more united behind him - the purging of the Maimane wing of the party occurred after 2019. If we look at the 2023 DA Congress vote, Steenhuisen won 84% of delegate votes. Comparatively, Ramaphosa only won 56% in the 2022 ANC Conference - showing more division. When it comes to the EFF, I also do not see Malema going anywhere regardless of the result. I believe an EFF without Malema could be the beginning of a decline for the party which I think the party is aware of. I do think the EFF are in more “trouble” than we think judging by by-election results, they are haemorrhaging votes to MK, smaller parties and the IFP in KZN. Hence, I see their electoral performance remaining largely stagnant.

Not a fan of EFF, but I can't point to anything Malema says and say "he's wrong". He always makes sense.
I think your analyses are to an extent correct, Dr Mpofu, parties like the MKP and ActionSA will eat on the ANC electoral support while parties such as Rise Mzansi, the PA, ActionSA and BOSA (though I do not think they pose a threat) will eat on the DA electoral support. EFF will be the only uncontested party in terms of electoral support, and that could mean a rise in their % support or a stagnation, but whatever the case this will work in their favor.

I was listening to a speeker from the Biznews conference who said that although ramaphosa will loose votes and bring the ANC to 40% an ANC run by Mashatile will get an even lower result so Ramaphosa will be told to stay. An ANC without Ramaphosa will be even weaker. It's obious Malema wants Ramaphosa to go so he'll say this, a weak ANC under Mashatile is more likely to make him King-maker. Malema also dreams of a reverse take over will him incharge.
