It doesn't look at all like the Apple Ultra.

You do not want a rotating bezel on the ultra. It's a rugged watch. A rotating bezel would just be asking for trouble with dirt, dust and sand. The ultra is designed for extreme sports.
Agreed but the gps and heart rate needs to be so much better than every other galaxy watch.

Last two watches have been poor on gps.
I'm a big fan of the rotating bezel, but you're absolutely right. It wouldn't make sense to have a rotating bezel on a rugged watch that's built to be used in extreme conditions.
Yes, this is the first Samsung watch that is equipped with a dual band GPS, which should improve GPS accuracy substantially.
I'm very keen to test the new dual band GPS when I get my hands on the watch.

I did the same. I used 5 pro a lot for running / cycling. Very happy with it. And this 1 seems a good upgrade over it.
We did exactly the same, traded in the 5 Pro, and used £50 voucher from Samsung for registering our interest for pre-order. We ordered the white version, and we are really looking forward to it.

Every time you guys went through the different screens and option I was itching to browse through them myself. You did what you could, and I thank you for the hand-on experience. It definitely displayed more of the watch than is currently online. So for that alone, thank you.
Me personally, I would have looked into the Work-Out settings more; For example, as you were setting up the 3-exercise-combo, I was surprised that this watch had so little options. Only running indoors/outdoors, swimming indoors/outdoors, and cycling? What the hell?! Where are all the other options? Can you download them separately? I think every Fitness-Tracker watch nowadays has 20+ exercise options to choose from - from running, to climbing, to walking up stairs, to swimming, to weight training, to abs training, to cycling, to badminton, to skiing, walking...and probably 10 other ones. Where was it on THIS watch?! You certainly couldn't add them to the 3-exercise-combo. That's weird.
Also, the standout features of this Watch Ultra per Samsung's advertisement are mostly the sensors. That's what I would have liked to see. They added dual GPS (so a second GPS chip instead of just 1 to my understanding, or it's just 1 chip running 2 frequencies) for higher GPS accuracy. You could have at least opened up the MAPS app on the watch to see how quickly it locates your position, and how precise it is. The shop venue (the place you're at) is public anyway, so it wouldn't have been a problem I think (leaking position or anything like that).
I would have also liked to see the other sensors tested. The older Samsung watches (and other popular brands too) have something like 4 sensors on the back. For this Watch Ultra Samsung added a bunch more (I think it has 8 or 11 sensors total on the back or something like that) for higher accuracy. Again, I would have liked to see you guys at least try the Heart Rate sensor. You wanted to test the Body-Composition, but then canceled it because height had to be input... come on... just punch in fake height then, 2 meters, it doesn't matter. I just wanted to see the sensors and the watch work, and see how snappy it is.
Also, it's nice that you wanted to test the Route-Setting feature, and the Track-Back feature. Those are definitely good additions to have on a Smartwatch.
I know the watch has NFC too, so it most definitely has an option to add your credit card (to Samsung Pay probably, or Google Pay). That's a good feature to have for sure.
As you were browsing through the apps, I also saw glimpses of MAPS and SOUNDCLOUD, Media Controls as well, and I know for a fact that you can pair Spotify with it. All those features are very desired by people who exercise. You usually listen to music, and GPS track.
Anyways, I'll end my rant here. I would have liked to see you test more features in this video, but I think everyone is just different. You tested the things that came to your mind. I understand. Overall I enjoyed your little presentation. Thanks for the hands-on video.
PS: I went through the Samsung shop in Germany, and currently the STARTING PRICE for the Samsung Watch Ultra is 699 EURO (so almost the identical price you mentioned for the UK, being 599 GBP). They have a couple of campaigns going on right now where you get a couple percent off, but the lowest I could push it for myself buying from Germany was around 565 EURO. It's still way too overpriced in my opinion. In the US the STARTING PRICE is 599 USD, and they have campaigns with MASSIVE discounts for traded in devices, as well as additional discounts for almost any occupation (Student, Military, First Responders, PARENTS for god's sake, a discount for being a PARENT...and others) so that they only pay 250-350 USD at the end. I haven't seen anything like that in Europe. So yeah...not a fan. I'm sure that if you try to import from the US, you'll pay taxes (probably 150+) and it'll end up being the same price. So not worth it. Disappointing pricing in Europe. That's my conclusion.

However, the store only had one Watch Ultra on display and a queue of people waiting to see the watch, hense why we had to rush through our hands on. Anyway, I'm grateful for your comment, and I will try to cover as many as possible from your list once I get my watch.
Regarding the 3 exercise combo, the option of adding more exercise seemed limited, which is disappointing. However, interms of number of individual workouts available - the list is quite long.

Yes, I must say I agree with you. I've also felt the same with many of their past products, too. It would be really nice if Samsung used some distinctive solid colours. I guess on a positive note, there are at least 3 colour options for the Watch Ultra.
