I’m having terrible battery life and I got a 15 pro max and I watch your channel and my phone keep overheating I just changed all of that now hopefully I see some improvement
I had high hopes when I saw your headline and eagerly watched the video as my iPhone 15 Pro Max battery life suffers every time Apple drops an update. I had everything turned off except the Journaling boxes and i do not use the app, so I disabled them. I don't use Air Drop and while I'm pretty sure i turned that off, I believe that when I upgraded to 17.3, they turned it back on. I will get back in a few days to let you know if I see any improvement. Speaking of upgrades Watch OS 10.3 is the first upgrade that didn't obliterate my Ultra 2. A couple days later and yes, my battery life is a little better, good call and thank you.
If you turn off significant locations, battery optimization will not work and also the new stolen device protection will not work as it is supposed to.
Even when on, my optimised battery charging went crazy after working fine for 2 years. Just kept the phone at 86 and didn’t go further, even after leaving it on the charger way past my time to get out.
I had no battery issues on my now 4 years old iphone 11 pro max until I updated to the last iOS 16, and then iOS 17. And not gotten better since. Now I neeed a new phone which I can’t afford, anymore, as phones these days cost an arm and a leg.
I think when you switch the option of airdrop to “Receiving off” then that will will also save your battery life even the “bringing devices together” option is turned on.
Does turning on auto brightness really save or drain the battery? There are 2 ways saying about it. Turning it on constantly autogenerate to adjust, etc Kindly advise and thank you!!!
Go to settings then general then software updates toggle on beta then go to feedback app report battery drain in the feedback app then when your all done submitting feedback go back into settings then general then software updates and turn off the beta!
But wait.. these videos get so confusing.. Now when we turned off significant locations doesn’t that make it harder for us to ever change our passcode or fix Face ID issues when the new Stolen Device Protection feature is turned on? 🤔
According to Apple’s latest article published on 11th January, significant locations and system management are needed to be turned ON for Optimized Battery setting.
I'm currrently on iOS 17.2.1 and followed your tips in here. Will let you know how I get on. How is iOS 17.3 so far for you in terms of performance and battery life?
Encountering a bug on lock screen/ Notification Centre; widgets below the time disappears, the clock itself shifts to the left side of the screen. Why is iOS becoming cheaper day by day.
If you keep going through charge cycles, then what do you expect? I assume you let your phone get below 20% and you charge it up to 100%. You should keep your battery percentage between 40 and 80% or 30 and 70%.
Strange! I updated my iPhone 11 pro to 17.2.1 all of sudden lighting cable stopped working, very slow charging when I connect to laptop or wall charger, i tried multiple original Apple cables. But facing charging and heating issue after this upgrade.... Every time I connect charger or via laptop it shows charging on hold.... It's charging only when I keep my Air conditioner ON. But lighting cable feature dead. Is this issue only am facing or others as well. Please comment and share your experience with model and how you fixed it if there is any possibile solution.... @ig_.ad1 obviously they charged money brother😂 after nine months of use the batteries at 92 , if it was at 70 also they wouldn’t consider a free replacement. Unless your phone is broke.
Optimized battery charging also needs this feature, which helps your battery. Not sure if the battery health drops quicker without the feature on cause I’m too scared to find out
