Biomechanics Sessional Project (2023) - Pneumatic Artificial Muscle

Our sophomores have been hard at work, and their efforts have truly paid off with their previous term's (July 2023) project on pneumatic muscle actuators using silicone, a popular soft material in biomechanics! 🌟🚀
Their goal? To create a gripper that mimics human movements with a flex sensor! 🖐🤖 These innovative artificial muscles, composed of wedge-like units in series and crafted from silicone rubber, contract upon actuation, making them perfect for mimicking the delicate and precise movements of a human hand.
