Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 8th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 4th tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Division 1 South East. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams...and not forgetting our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. A few ideas
1) 100% need a podcast style Q&A with Devs and Spencer and coaching staff/players about the season and next season - id love a proper in depth season review
2) Classic penalty shootout tournament and other football challenges
3) Might be difficult to arrange, but a Spencer vs Devs game, maybe for Charity - get a mix of special guests, womens/mens/trialists/youth players/eSports and each manager gets to pick a player each until they have the 20 man squad
You should do youth academy in off season and then they are ready for the start of the season and hopefully you find another scotty p

The slow start cost Hashtag this season, but next season with the improvements to the squad and more confidence promotion will be gained
If they lose Francis they will struggle, surely will go to league above next season
@@joshleader8017 there’s a possibility he’ll move on, he is very talented, but Hashtag will be able to bring in new talented players, they offer something which no other team at that level l, or even for the levels above offer

Frustrating as someone whose play style is similar to Tobe's to see how well he is generally positioned, and how rarely it is rewarded with a good ball. A great season though, really impressed with the boys and everything they've done. Looking forward to next year. League Title incoming. COYT

Their number 9 in the first half is former professional footballer kudus oyenuga played with Morton in the Scottish championship and became an icon for scoring a winner against Falkirk a Morton fan even got a tattoo of his name
Thinking ahead to next season I really hope we can keep the players we have because consistency plays a big part. Excited for Saturday last game hoping we finish the season with a solid performance and a win would make it even better

Loved how the team finished the 2nd half of this campaign. Hoping Playoffs at a minimum next season but know it will be tough. Proud of the boys and excited for the future!
Devs made a good point…we’ve only just hit the points total from the first half of the season so it has been more equal than many would think!

I know there's not time to do it this off-season, but one year for the Academy series instead of doing one player, you could assemble a "youth squad" maybe in another region. Then at the end of their season, call up one of the players for a trial with the reserves or even senior team if you find someone really good. It would open up a new market and introduce a host of new characters to the HT community.
But this year? My vote is to give Stampy a week or two off. He's over worked! :)

Not this year, no. We can’t do it every year, it would cause too much disruption. It’s also harder and harder to find the level of players we need 👊

The big difference in this game was Watson - his aerial presence both in the middle of the park as well as in the box is invaluable in games like these

Interesting; why? Tbh we are staying at Bowers; at our level it really helps having a 3G pitch because you have less games cancelled which can cause huge disruption, before you consider playing style.
@@HashtagUnited yes having a turf pitch is great for bad weather days, but I feel like the team plays better on grass pitch. The ball bounces so much and plays so slow on turf, I don’t think it suits Hashtag’s style of play.
Maybe do a poll of the players to see what they prefer?

Not the best performance, but a good win none the less. We look really shaky atm with oppostion set pieces, we are letting them bring it down in our box way too easily. Jermaine Francis is looking very good right now, Toby looked very frustrated this game, and I understand how easy to feel like giving up, but we have to make sure to keep pushing and get our reward.
