Samir Hazlehurst I don't think so, has her date of birth in 1984, which would have made her 13 or 14 when Nymb started. Nymb were from Chicago I believe, and logically speaking, it's members were likely born in the mid to late 1970's.
Yes she is the same person. Nymb was started when they were in high school. Elaine moved to Utah for college, stared another band for a few years then moved on and joined Neon Trees. I knew Ben the drummer and hung out with him and Elaine a few times.

Maybe she fudged her birthday a little bit when she joined the Neon Trees (not unusual - a lot of rock stars do this), but it's her. She was maybe 19 or 20 when this record came out. They were a young band, but not that young. I think they were all just out of highschool when the Novembre EP came out, and that was their first release in '98.
