@@Niamh-l3p hey i know this is a few months late but i wanted to see how ur recovery is going! i’m practically recovered from all in too, it’s so worth it x
@@hotgirlella Hey! It’s very up and down, I’ve been struggling with extreme hunger issues for about 10 months now and it’s been so exhausting. My ED has taken years from me but I just have to make up for what I lost and prove to it that I won’t feed into what it says forever😌
Just dropping in to reassure you that it is very normal that your appetite/mental hunger is still extreme. It took me about 4/5 months to really see a significant drop in my mental hunger, and i was 'weight restored' for all of that time. Just go with it, it does subside eventually!
Me too. I’m nearly 2 weeks in and after I have a meal I chug a pint of water and use a hot water bottle on my stomache. It helps with pains and just decreases it.
Did you ever try and slowly increase calories, I want to recover but am scared of suddenly going all in. You’re so inspiring and your doing amazing :) xxx
i did!! i went up from restriction to my tdee and then went all in. that was v helpful for me because i found that as i slowly increased it going all in wasn't as scary, but even if it doesn't stop being scary i would say that going all in is by far the most helpful thing u can do for ur recovery and honestly u do get past the fear. like when they say it gets better... i definitely am still working past some negative food thoughts but honestly all of the things i thought were wrong with myself when i started restricting turned out to be that i didn't have enough energy to be the person i wanted to be
do you have any advice for me? i’ve got really bad mental hunger in my recovery but when i eat the bloating is so so painful and discomfiting, also it makes me feel like im gaining ‘bad weight’
hi! i’m currently all in, how do you deal with all in bloating and body image? i’m currently really struggling with that side of it and really don’t know what to do
@@brookepaintain i don’t want to trigger you but have you been gaining 2kg+ a week since going all in because i’ve been gaining at least 3kg and it’s so scary!💘
don’t worry sometimes i feel like numbers can help if they’re used in the right way! please don’t worry!! yes i have been gaining that much i completely understand how scary it is!! in the first 3 days i gained over 4kg so we’re definitely in the same boat :) have you been having weekly weigh ins with cahms too? xxx
Hey, I don't know your story, but I think partly the reason you're not feeling full is because 95% of what you ate was simple carbohydrates which means it spikes your blood sugar for a short period of time but makes you hungry almost straight after, maybe do some research about it. Good luck with your recovery regardless xx
In my recovery I used to eat mainly whole foods at first, because it was less stressful mentally, and I would eat every hour adding up to many thousands of calories per day. Also, fear foods need to be incorporated to ones diet. I feel that recovery from malnutrition fails to follow general nutritional science. Further research will definitely shed light on that.
Yeah your right but ive also heard some people just have extreme hunger like stephanie buttermore- she would eat really healthy and nutrition full food then went all in for a year and now shes fine
