I worked at an Iron Mine about 40 years ago when I was a youngster. I worked this job on and off for about a year, we used a 35 ton overhead gantry crane to clear most of the large rock jams just as seen in the video. You get very good at using the hook on the end of the crane for turning rocks like this.

The first couple of minutes of this were really cool because there was absolutely NO perspective to allow your brain to know the sizes of the things you were looking at. But I'm not sure there are enough individual sounds to match them up well with the visual. Keep in mind that we KNOW it's not the "size of the death star," since nothing like that exists at the present time. I was remarking that you could allow your mind to PERCEIVE it that way, as an interesting exercise in imagination.

This is just a step in iron ore production. After blasting the ore loose hydraulic loader is used to load in this mine 100 ton capacity off road dump trucks. This is the primary crusher to break down large rocks to smaller sizes that are more easily handled inside the processing plant. Eventually after loading into rail cars they make various grades of steel which is is in construction of everything our society uses from sheet metal to heavy steel beams thought the automotive industry uses a large amount of the steel produced. With the exception of Tesla which is 97% aluminum.
Hope this explanation helps those people who watch this and can’t figure out what’s going on.
