Too much surface scattering aplied to the skin material creates that "wax" look.

At last a photorealistic claim that's actually photorealistic :) Re animated faces, I find it's mouth animation that gives it away. On the still, scowling woman, the main thing that gives it away for me is how soft it is, like a painting. The earlier vegetation shots where indistinguishable for me.
Siren looks super realistic and all but I can't tell if I'm imagining it but I think it looks like her eyes, lips, nose, eyebrows aren't tied down to her actual face. Like its an overlay u can slightly notice.

Why is it we can't make teeth and the lighting inside the mouth look right?
The console industry sadly slows down graphics development speed because the devs have to work with the shitty console hardware so they always have to restrict the level of detail, lighting, animation and AI. The only positive thing is that in result you get more graphics for your hardware but it takes at least another 5 years until we have photorealistic games.

Lets say some of us were playing Doom2 ... AFter 25 years .. we get Insanely Realistic Graphics... Just imagine what is coming to 25 years from now.
Also the photorealistic home is the most realistic one when you look at some of the shots.

Not much tbh, the most realistic blocks pack in minecraft and the ultra shaders at max runned well in my 12gb ram, 2tb memory and rtx 1060 computer
it wouldn't be real time if it took hours to load, minecraft RTX usually takes maximum 1 minute to load

People who judge a game by graphics end up being disappointed. Gameplay is ALWAYS the most important thing.

For me what differs virtual and reality is 1. eyes, Idk how to explain but it's obvioys 2. Movements, Because graphic designers try to make their animations as smooth as possible, it doesn't look real enuf our movements are just not that smooth.

Am I the only person here that is absolutely terrified by how realistic these graphics look?
Everyone is saying how realistic the physics and graphics are which they are but no one talks about SOUND which would be near impossible to make 100% realistic + particles like dust, sand, and water are extremely complex physics which even pre rendering can take forever.

I think what happened wrong with Siren is the face structure. Look how the lips go way too far from the teeth. This probably happened while matching the virtual face to the real one
